Ornate Antique Victorian Carved Oak Wood Picture Frame
The outer dimensions of this antique frame are approx. 21 3/4" x 25 3/4" The inside dimensions. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. I would assume that this was not an inexpensive frame in it's day. It is in super condition, with only very slight blemishes- VERY slight. Thanks for viewing this auction.

Antique Victorian Picture Frame - All wood ornate design Gold 10 1/2 x 12 1/2
This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. I have taken pictures of them close up. Frame measures 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the picture is 6 x 8. Very nice piece from the past. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. Vintage Antique Oval Wooden Picture Frame Bubble Glass 23" tall
Large wooden frame is 23X16 and about 1/2" deep. Painted two shades of green with oval bubble glass intact. It had been reversed painted and the previous owner has started to remove it with I think he said acetone. Sure it would be fairly easy to do. The frame itself is about 2" wide around the front and glass opening is about 19X13. Really a nice piece waiting for a new picture.

Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. It has some cracking from age along with a place on the edge where the gesso has chipped away over the years and a few visible layers of old paint(see pics) and is just as found. Large ornate antique gold picture frame from theVictorian era(late 1800s) The frame has a very ornamental design. It fits an approx 16 1/8 x 20 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 27 5/8 x 31 1/2 inches and it is 2 3/4 inches high. The frame is made up 4 separate pieces(see last photo) Most of the frame is in very good condition. However the medallion in the lower right corner(first photo) was missing and had to be replaced. It should be less noticeable when hung on the wall. There are also several minor dings, etc. as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

Interestingly. This portrait is that of Rubens own son, Nicolaas Rubens wearing a coral necklace(circa- 1619) This portrait often goes by two different names. Head of a Boy" as well as, Little Boy with a Coral Necklace" It is said ... morethat during his day, children were advised to wear coral necklaces to protect them from fits and anxiety. Paul Rubens was a proponent of extravagant Baroque-Style. it is only appropriate that his little boy be framed in this very Baroque gold-gilt frame. The 1890-1920 wood frame has exceptional gesso(plaster) ornamentation at the corners and the center of each side.showing layers of intricate scrolls. Flourishes, shells and leaves.exquisitely linked together with a chain-like garland. The gesso is in very nice condition with only minor cracking in one small area and one tiny probable repair nearby. Enlarge photos#6& 7. The original portrait was done in black and red chalk. Heightened with white chalk, which was then enhanced with pen and dark brown ink on brownish paper. This is a print of that famous portrait. I do not know the date of this print, but my guess is prior to 1970 when this frame was purchased by this estate holder. The backside of the frame has a paper that was glued to it that reads: 174 Rubens- Head of a Boy" The kraft paper on the back of this frame looks to be, at least, 1950 and perhaps older. This is a very interesting Antique photo frame with English sterling silver front design on a dark blue velvet backing. This piece is hallmarked with the passant lion for 925/1000 sterling silver. The anchor mark for Birmingham England, and the date letter mark of a lower case( i) for the year 1908. The condition is as follows. The silver has some dings and dents especially around the central ring, the top cartouch is pushed in, the velvet on the front has some white polish dust. This piece would have originally had a filler backing to strengthen the sterling and this is a bit broke up now inside.Measures about 6 x 5 3/4 inches, the circular is 3 inches in diameter and there is no glass. This is an antique picture frame of oak with 2 sets of the gold gesso trim around it. Frame width is 3 1/2" Overall size is 22"x26" with glass size of 16"x19" Comes with the original wavy glass. Up for auction is a very unique Antique Chinese or Japanese Wood Decorated Fan Frame with three prints of Geisha's. This piece is out of an estate of unique Asian Pieces. Such as some I have already sold. This large hanging wall Fan Frame has three windows with antique colored prints under glass. The body itself is wood with high relief painting designs such as the trees with laquer wood. There are a few issues through out this piece, chipping, a crack by on of the photos to the tree as seen clearly in the photo, also at the base of the fan, some early restoration seems present but not much. The back of the three frames are held by nails that may need reinforcing. Overall, a unique piece as you can see for these photos. Measures 32' long and 19' high. Here is a beautiful antique picture frame that I found at auction recently and had to buy. It is in excellent condition for such an old frame. It is around 19 by 25 on the outside and will accomodate a 13 by 19 oval picture. The center piece in it is now a piece of embroidered cloth mounted on a piece of cardboard. This frame is in such great condition that I see no chips or scratches. And someone put some kind of gold foil on the round knobs on each design. You can see that in the closeup pictures, it makes that part look like real gold. This is just a really nice old frame that will make a great compliment for that special picture you've been saving. Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance.
