Beautiful turn of the century French antique bronzed picture frame Very rare. These frames at this level of detail and size are hard to find. Ive never seen one this large. Bronzed over metal Exquisite and fine details of cherubs and scrolls throughout. Please see close up images of the faces of these figures. The details represent fine workmanship. This frame is a a large piece measuring 14 ½” in height and 10” length left to right. It has not been cleaned. Just a light wiping of the dust that remained on it after all these years. The patina is absolutely stunning. It makes this piece even the more beautiful. See images. Original stand in back on bottom. Stands perfectly and nothing loose. They are only 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" The other size you find is 6 1/4" x 4" I put a bottle of nail polish with them so you can see how tiny they are. I have seen only 1 other listing on another internet auction and they were broken. These are post 1940. In very good condition. Both frames have their glass. Oliver Wendell Holmes. Sr. was an American physician born in 1809 in Cambridge Massachusetts and also was a poet, professor, lecturer, and author. He was one of the best writers of the 19th century. The very detailed etching is in an antique 13 x 19 frame with a newer acid free mat. The gesso frame has some rough edges and its back cover is in original vintage condition. The glass is the wavy antique type from this time period. A rare antique picture of a woman that can't make her eyes behave when she is with her husband. In the next etching it is the woman who can make her eyes behave and she has aged. Turned ugly, and sitting with her cat. This is very unique and comes from the late Dr. Mart estate auction. Looks like it is etched with some kind of fillin for coloring. Description: This auction for a Barbour Silver Co. silver plate picture frame. This picture frame is in very good condition with some light scratches. The frame measures 13 3/8" tall and 9 3/4" wide. The base of the frame is marked as pictured below with the Barbour Silver Co. maker's mark and 3465. Information on Barbour Silver Despite the great interest in Barbour silver- many people own it. Apparently- information on its history is sketchy. Here's what researchers at the Connecticut Historical Society uncovered: In 1881 or 1882. Samuel Barbour moved from Chicago to New Haven, Conn. where he and his brother Charles joined in forming the Barbour Brothers Co. At this point, they were only marketers of silverplate products made by I. J. Steane& Co. of Hartford. For sale rare early victorian beaded picture of St. Joseph. This picture is in very good condition for its age. There are some beads missing from the picture. There are some beads missing from the crown and the end of the stick that St. Joseph is holding. I'm not sure the age of the frame but also appears to be quite old. I bought this picutre from an elderly person that told me it was from the victorian era. The picture is made up of a lot of tiny little beads stuck to a type of board by hand. the frame is 16 by 18 inches. the picture is about 7 and 1/2 by 9 and 1/2 inches. Rare Antique Mid 19th Century Oval Brass Shell On Wood Frame (#2)
Please note that I will be listing two of these frames separately tonight. One a little larger than the other. This one is the larger one. This is a rare antique mid-19th-century oval brass shell on wood frame. It dates from the 1840s. It measures 14 7/8" x 13 1/4" 37.8 cm x 33.7 cm) It fits a picture size 12 1/4" x 10 1/2" 31 cm x 26.7 cm) The molding is 1 5/8" wide(4.1 cm) This is an American frame made of a brass shell molding. Which is crimped over the sides of the wood molding. As you can see in the photos. The wood has shrunk a bit leaving two thin openings. But these do not affect the sturdiness of the frame at all. The photos of the various sections of the frame aren't in any particular order. As I was getting confused! There are two small dents on it. There are also four small reverse dents. On about ... morehalf of the outer rim there is a light reddish color that has developed. I believe it's from age(please see photo) I don't feel these take away from the old world feel of the frame. Lovely goldtone metal oval vintage 1908+ picture frame by M W Carr& Co. Boston Mass. Front features bows and ribbon design in metal surrounding the center glass. Backing shows age related patina. But fortunately its not noticable from the front. 4" x 3" Can stand up on level surface OR hung on a wall. The support stand pivots nicely. Top of stand says. Pat. May 19 1908" Everything looks original! Glass is in excellent antique condition with a few very tiny fleabite chips on the edge. Satin watermark paper is original and shows some light staining. Cardboard supporting inset is intact with a few age related marks. This is a very nice vintage picture frame. I gladly combine shipping.

This is an amazing. Rare c1870 American Adirondack/ Tramp Art chip carved antique folk art frame. Unusually large, this one measures 23 1/2 x 31 1/2 with a 14 3/8 x 22 rabbet. What's even more unusual is that this frame is perfect.no losses( and the original dry finish. Someone took a great deal of time to carve this gem. Rare Hand Carved Wood Antique Painting Picture Frame
ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOOD FRAME Perfect for your painting. Porcelain, photograph or print. This is a thick ornate antique wood frame. There are elaborate hand carvings protruding out in a leaf motif. The carvings may have a thin layer of gesso. The inner part of the frame has a very nice continuous beaded pattern. The outer part of the frame has impressed design and another carved line dot pattern. The frame has its original patina of rich dark gilt gold. There is a nice triangular metal hook for hanging. The frame is approximately 11" square. There is a wood ledge on the underneath side original to the frame to lay your art. The opening is 17.5 cm or approximately 6.9" square. This is an extremely rare 19th century antique solid gilded bronze oval standing picture frame. it is very ornate with dimensional detailing wrapping the whole outer edge of the oval shaped frame. it is beautifully footed with female face dragon/ griffins. And detailed floral foliage. has a great patina from age. it has a leather wrapped backing and standing arm that has surface ware from age but still works. it measures 6 inches by 4 inches wide and the opening measures 2 1/2 by 3 3/4 inches. it is in overall nice shape. The back arm was retyped at one point. FABULOUS RARE ORIGINAL ANTIQUE OVAL FRONT WOOD FRAME WITH GESSO FLOWERS holding AN ORIGINAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CABINET PHOTO OF A LITTLE GIRL. This Antique Wood Frame is in Excellent condition. Considering its age! There is very little wear on the original finish. There are two scratches on the frame. Above the oval opening and a very tiny chip at the top left of the oval opening. The gilded gesso flowers and leaves are well in tact. There is a very tiny amount of"red" showing on the flowers, as if there was some red coloring on a portion of them at one time. Long ago. The Antique Cabinet Photo is in Excellent Condition. There are no stains on the photograph. As you can see in the last picture. I have two of these frames listed.
