Up for auction is this great Antique Vintage Colored Micro Italian Mosaic Table Photograph Picture Frame. This is a miniature small gold metal table picture frame. This frame is has a multi colored micro mosaic design of leaves and flowers inside a gold tone metal boarder. The back is indented with ITALY in the back of the frame. The condition is very good with no missing pieces of mosaic. The frame is compete with the glass front, the easel back stand and includes the little photo inside. A truly beautifuly carved wooden treen Art Nouveau small photo frame with glass but no photo. It measures approximately 4.5 x 3 inches. And has a circulat glazed photo display area with a diameter of approximately 1.25 inches.I cant be certain but its decorative carving seems to be carved or glued to a thin venier darker wood sheet.The actual flower design is extremely ornate and very typical of home decoration in the peak of the Art Nouveau period.It needs a photo and a card or wood back plate, and is missing one retention clip to hold a back plate firmly in position. The fancy frame is iron with a gilt finish. It is in good condition. It holds a standard 6.5" by 4" cabinet card. There is no glass but it could easily be added if wanted. It shows water stains, and some water damage and some scratches, but it is still overall very clear and pretty. Photo has a sepia color with some tinted color. Glass is good. Up for auction is an antique late 19th Century oval picture frame recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and comes with its original wavy glass. The frame features a nice gold interior liner surrounded by a dark walnut frame, but does show some sea and crazing of the surface. Please see the photos for details. It does not have its original backing, but does have a hanger. There are a few minor cracks in the frame itself. Antique Victorian Era Pressed Paperboard Picture Photograph Frame
Antique Victorian Era Pressed Paperboard Picture Photograph Frame This old beauty came with the lot of old tintypes that I purchased and just listed- none of them were inside of it. There is sat all by itself. And it's just so pretty! What I have is an antique, Victorian era pressed paper board photo frame. I don't know if this was part of an album, or maybe had a light easel(like a wire one) at one point in time, but what's left of it now is the best part- the frame itself, nothing else. It's made from a light, pressed paper board that is not pliable(unless you force it- then it would move) that is brown, with lovely high relief detailing on the front. On the back, you can see faded rose colored paper shreds and pieces- as if it had covered the back at one point in time and is mostly no longer there. You can see a little ... moresheen to the brown finish at the back- where it dripped back there from the front- it's shiny at the back, but no longer at the front. You can also see what looks like a nail hole at the very top- see photo 4. I'm guessing someone had this one on the wall. Other than that, it's really in excellent solid and sturdy condition, especially for being over 100 years old. There are some very teenie spots of wear to the brown finish, and it could use a little dusting/wipe off- I have not cleaned it in any way, it's as found. The outside of the frame measures 4 3/4" wide by 6 3/4" tall and the inside opening is 2 1/4" by 3 1/2" tall. It's light, weighing only a couple of ounces. Prettyprettypretty! I believe the metal to be brass but am not 100% positive of the exact metal that was used to make this frame. I did put a magnet onto the surface and it did not stick to it. The picture opening is 10" x 13" and together with the frame the measurements are 13 1/2" x 20" It is in good overall condition with no damage or repairs.
