Antique Metal Filigree Picture Frame This beautiful frame displays the exquisite filigree workmanship that existed during the early 1900's. There are geometric shapes lining the front of the frame and small flowers along the back of the frame. The edge has yet another pattern. The frame appears to be made of brass. But I'm not certain. The frame measures approximately 10-1/8 inches by 8-1/8 inches. There is an OVAL inset within the 8 X 10 picture frame. Note: The photos distort the oval image and it appear to be round. However. It is a very lovely oval shape. This is in very good condition for its age. The brown velveteen back board shows some minor wear. A pin has been punctured through the back board to help secure the stand but I do not believe it is necessary. This is an antique OVAL WOODEN PICTURE FRAME with gilt inset and the outer ring is lined with beaded gilt. The frame measures 14 1/4" X 12 1/4" and the picture size is 8" X 10" and is 1 1/4" deep. The frame has scratches in the surface and a small area(about a half inch) where the beading has come off on the outer edge near the bottom of the frame. The gilting on the inset area has 3 cracks in it. The photo is that of a woman sitting. There is one area where there is a red cushion she is setting her right arm on. What a handsome couple and what a lovely frame. This is a metal oval frame with brass finish and molded. Pierced decorative metal mounts top and bottom and on each side. The overall length of the frame is 23 1/2" overall width is 15 1/2" The measurement of the actual opening is 13" by 19" This photo was in this frame when we bought it so of course I had to see if anything was written on the back. This frame is very easy to get into- brass tabs on the back hold the metal dust cover in place. Written in a scrawling hand on the back of the photo is a date"Aug 24, 1929" and a last name that might be"Benczar" or"Benazar" The pretty bride is fashionable in her short"flapper" style gown and immense veil and bouquet. Her groom is matinee idol handsome. The phjoto is sepia with just a bit ... moreof hand coloring on the fern fronds of the bouquet and a bit of the backdrop. THere is a faint ring of wear on the photo from the frame. The glass is original and in nice condition, there is wear to the gold colored finish on the frame. Lovely Fancy Vintage Frame Picture Frame Art Frame Photo Frame 4 1/8 X 6" Oval
Lovely Fancy Vintage Frame Picture Frame Art Frame Photo Frame 4 1/8 X 6" Oval The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! Prettyprettypretty. That was my first thought when I saw this one- it's very Victorian fancy in style, but it's vintage, not antique, so just in style. And what style it has, don't you think? I purchased it at the flea market and was told that it, along with another one that is similar that I just ... morelisted, came out of the same estate. I think that the frame is made of a man made material or resin, but made very much to resimble carved wood(even down to the faux graining at the backside. This is a heavy sturdy frame, though, not light- it weighs 3/4 lb. The color is creamy off white/light tan, which appears to be the color of the material- not a finsh, but it does have a warm brown finish that has been added to the inset areas of the frame, and rubbed into some of the higher relief areas too(see my photos) giving it a very shabby, old world flair, I think. This is a frame only- it has no glass, and no back, but does have a hanging hook inset into the very top, so you could hang it on the wall over your own artwork(or it's cool and decorative all by itself! or you could add your own back(and glass if you wanted it) too. The inside opening is a vertical oval, and it measures 4 1/8" by 6" inside wall to inside wall on the backside and the frame measures 6" widest by 9 3/8" tallest. I noticed that this frame has the oval opening only- no lip that runs around the inside of the oval on the backside- do you know what I mean? See the oval opening at the back-

Vintage ornate brass double picture frame. Overall size is about 7” wide x 5 3/4” tall. The 2 connected oval frames will hold 2 pictures about 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” No glass. Vintage Brass Metal Roses Miniature Oval Picture Photo Frame Antiqued Finish
Welcome! Presenting a vintage. Antiqued brass miniature oval picture or photo frame with an ornate roses and leaves relief design. It currently frames a brass metal calla lily decoration on a flocked or velveteen background, but this can be removed and replaced with a photo, picture, print or even a miniature painting. The frame itself measures about 6 inches long by 5 inches wide at the longest and widest points. The image area measures about 4 1/2 inches long and about 3 1/2 inches wide as measured from the back. The backing is made of leatherette composite board with a little hook for hanging and there are four little metal prongs to hold things in place. These prongs can be opened and closed with a small pliers or other tool. This frame is in very good condition with some old dust in the crevices. Vintage Antique Italian Brass Picture Photo Frame with Oval Window
Offered is a pretty picture frame made of cast brass with an oval glass opening and fiberboard backing. The frame is in as-found antique condition as possesses the wonderful patina found on old frames. More than likely. It will polish to a shine, if that is your intention. The oval glass piece has a few edge chips which may be still visible when displayed. But very minor. The fiber backing has shrunk a bit over the years and leaves the assembly a bit loose and capable of falling apart. This can easily be remedied with spacers, glue or tape. I believe this frame was probably made sometime around 1900. I found this treasure at a sale on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs. NY(a place known for it's grand Victorian era homes& rich history) a few years ... moreago. It remains in the same condition that I found it. The convex glass needs to be cleaned but it appears not to be scratched. Broken, or chipped. The wooden frame is tiger wood with black paint outlining the picture opening& the outer edge of the oval frame. The frame has some minor chips& scratches(understandable. Considering its age) There is about a 2.5“ crack/ split/ separation in the wood. It runs parallel to the flat back side of the frame& the best way I can describe it is that it is similar to when laminated wood layers might separate from each other. it's not the type of crack that runs straight through the thickness of the wood from the top to bottom so you only see the crack on the back of the frame. It does not affect the structure or appearance of the frame because the split in the wood doesn't run through to the front of the frame& it can easily be repaired with glue. It’s just barely visible when you view the frame from the side& back and you can’t see it at all from the front. I believe this is an original(possibly hand colored) photograph so it's a bit faded from age& there is a small tear in the photographic paper where the

This is a beautiful antique oval wood and gesso picture frame with a charming old hand colored photo of a young girl and her doll. It was framed between 1910 and 1920(It is marked on the back. But the last digit in the date is missing. The original wavy glass is intact. Frame, photo, and glass are all in very good condition. There are some small hairline cracks in the gesso, typical for the age, and some very minor light spottiness from age on the photo and frame. All damage is typical and barely noticeable. The gold on the frame looks very good and is slightly darkened from age. The outer measurements of the frame are 19 1/2" W x 26 3/4" H, and the photo measures 16" W x 20" H. Vintage Oval Sterling Silver Photo Picture Frame Velvet Back Easel 6.5" x 5.25"
The inside oval measures 5.25" x 3.75" Overall size is 6.5" x 5.25" The sterling silver stamp is the only mark I see so I don't know who made it. The frame as same dents and the back is faded. The glass is also old and has ragged edges. Still a very nice frame when polished and it stands well. SOLD AS IS.
