These spots can always be easily repaired with spackling compound. There are screw eyes and wire for hanging in the back. A former owner has used a hot glue gun to hold the glass in place at the four compass points. The glass is in excellent condition. I would say the frame is in very good condition. I have up for sale a very nice vintage original Antique circa early 1900s gold or brass toned metal Ribbon Top bubble glass oval picture frame. The frame including the ribbon top measures approx 22" top to bottom. The oval approx 20" top to bottom by 14" wide. The inside measurements for the photo or picture would be approx 19" x 13.5" The frame is made of metal- it magnetizes and has a gold or brass tone plating. The top ribbon section does not magnetize- not sure if it is brass or not. The frame is in Excellent Original Condition and comes with the original rope twist wall hanger accoutrement. What a handsome couple and what a lovely frame. This is a metal oval frame with brass finish and molded. Pierced decorative metal mounts top and bottom and on each side. The overall length of the frame is 23 1/2" overall width is 15 1/2" The measurement of the actual opening is 13" by 19" This photo was in this frame when we bought it so of course I had to see if anything was written on the back. This frame is very easy to get into- brass tabs on the back hold the metal dust cover in place. Written in a scrawling hand on the back of the photo is a date"Aug 24, 1929" and a last name that might be"Benczar" or"Benazar" The pretty bride is fashionable in her short"flapper" style gown and immense veil and bouquet. Up for auction is this wonderful Oval Gesso Bubble glass picture frame with a faux grey marble finish with little rose flowers on the tops and sides. The picture is of a black and white(yellowish color) with some green grass. It measures 19 ¼” tall and 16” wide. The picture is of a woman in front of an old farm house. The frame and picture are in great shape with normal wear from use and age but no major damage that I can see. VTG Antique Oval Bubble Convex Picture Frame Replacement Glass 11.5" x 8.5"
Up for bid is an old bubble glass for a picture frame. It is 11.5" by just under 8.5" It does have a scratch on the front. About an inch across, that is pictured above. However, the camera did not pic up on it very well. It's a whiteish color, about 2 inches up from the bottom, or top depending on how you set the frame. I did lower the price because of the scratch.

All the decorations on the front side of the frame are raised. Ornate and classic. In the photos the back of the thick paper/cardboard has a water or liquid stain. This is for an absolutely gorgeous antique picture frame.Found this at an estate sale that was at an old church in east aurora.N.y.Its in excellent shape for its age.Considering the art nouveau stye I would date it between 1880 and 1920.I have done nothing,it is as i found it.I like to try and note all defects so here is what i see.There is some loss of patina around the rim(see pic)I can also see that someone took the back off(probably to clean/make sure there was no valubles)and didn't line up the tabs correctly.Its still working just fine the way it is.They also left some what looks to be soap on the inside of the glass(upper right side)Should clean right off.Also there is some wear marks on the glass which i also pictured.and that is pretty normal for a 100 to a 130 year old picture frame. I believe this frame was probably made sometime around 1900. I found this treasure at a sale on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs. NY(a place known for it's grand Victorian era homes& rich history) a few years ... moreago. It remains in the same condition that I found it. The convex glass needs to be cleaned but it appears not to be scratched. Broken, or chipped. The wooden frame is tiger wood with black paint outlining the picture opening& the outer edge of the oval frame. The frame has some minor chips& scratches(understandable. Considering its age) There is about a 2.5“ crack/ split/ separation in the wood. It runs parallel to the flat back side of the frame& the best way I can describe it is that it is similar to when laminated wood layers might separate from each other. it's not the type of crack that runs straight through the thickness of the wood from the top to bottom so you only see the crack on the back of the frame. It does not affect the structure or appearance of the frame because the split in the wood doesn't run through to the front of the frame& it can easily be repaired with glue. It’s just barely visible when you view the frame from the side& back and you can’t see it at all from the front. I believe this is an original(possibly hand colored) photograph so it's a bit faded from age& there is a small tear in the photographic paper where the
