Antique Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frame; walnut, old surface
Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance. Deep Walnut Wood Eastlake Victorian Picture Frame with Crewel Embroidery
There is no reserve on this antique Eastlake Victorian deep walnut wood picture frame. It is shadow box style. It measures 13 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches and is 3 inches deep. The opening for a picture is 10 x 12 inches. I think it has a wood backing but the back is covered with the needle work material and I do not want to take it apart. There is a hanger and it has glass over the framed crewel basket of violets. It has a gold colored wood liner outlined with a black wood liner. The frame has minimal age wear but still is in excellent condition for about 100 years of use. Buyer pays $13.00 shipping.

This is a fantastic antique victorian shadow box frame with a large tin type image of someone's sweet little baby from long ago. Walnut 3" deep frame measures 12" x 14" and has a 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" frame opening. Large tin type image is mounted under glass and matted with an oval mat that has a 5 3/4" x 7 3/4" opening. Tin type is in very nice condition. Walnut frame is good and solid. Has several chips to the gilt trim along the edge of one side along with normal age related wear to the finish of the frame. Up for auction is an antique victorian Eastlake deep well picture frame. It is walnut wood and it looks like burl wood on the top part of the frame but I am not sure. I'm not a dealer but I know it is Eastlake. There is a frame of gold on the interior surrounded by 2 layers of walnut wood frame. Both walnut sections have intricate carvings of eastlake flower designs.typical of eastlake. This frame is a deeper frame than some others that I have. This is 3" deep. Although the front part of the frame is pretty good. The sides that are Black painted are rougher. 3 of the 4 sides have chipping of black paint. Looks like it was scraped on something. It can certainly be repainted black on the sides but I just never did. I bought the frame this way at an estate sale. This is a lovely. Antique Eastlake frame dating from 1860- 1890 and it is in very good condition. Even the glass appears to be authentic with slight waves& a few tiny bubbles. The overall measurements are 14" wide and 16" tall and 3.25" deep. The interior print/ photo window is 8" by 10" Construction on this lovely 3-tier frame: ~ Outer- Solid Walnut with a thin gilt groove along entire front top surface. The walnut is beveled and 2" deep. ~ Middle- Multi- beveled; gilted level and a black/ gilt cross hatch design level. Total 1" depth. ~ Inner- 1/2" of beveled. Black wood, 1" of faux marble(deep green) etched on each corner with stem of flowers. Then the inner most liner is gentle bevel of gilt/ gold. There is overall patina. Commensurate with age, which adds to the antique value. There is ... morealso one, approximately 1" surface scrape along the left top back edge- barely noticeable and hidden behind a rolled walnut bevel. As for the print and backing- A lovely lady portrait in Victorian finery. The back(wall side) is covered in soft green felt. 10.5" by 12.75" which appears newer and professionally added at a later date. Along with a sawtooth hanger. Eastlake Victorian Cherry-Walnut Picture Frame W/Mirror. This antiques framed mirror measures 11 3/8" by 13 1/4" Inside measures 9 5/8"by 7 3/4" 1 5/8" deep. The frame has it's original one piece pine backing which is fine with the mirror. If you were to replace the mirror with a photo it's recommended to remove it and use a different backing. Wood might have a residue that could be absorbed in the photo to cause foxing. The frames wood is either Cherry or Walnut not positive.The frame has a gold trim on the inner most dimensions followed by a black trim then wood then another trim of black. The frame has a wire strand for hanging.Frame is in excellent condition just a little gold trim flaking from ageing.Frame joints need a little tightening. This decorative accessory was recently found at auction in the Chester County. PA area. It is found in fair to good used condition. There are some scratches on the surface, one nick on the side and the corners are a bit loose and will need to be either or both re-glueing or re-nailing. HUGE Wood Antique Victorian DEEP Walnut Eastlake Picture Frame 1874 Print
This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.
