Antique oak picture frame with ornate gold inner liner. The oak frame is very deep with ornamental grooves in the center. The inner liner has a very ornate pattern made of gesso on a soft wood. The frame fits an approx 14 1/2 x 18 1/2 print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 19 1/2 x 23 1/2 inches and it is 2 1/4 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the oak and is in excellent condition, with just a few minor dings,etc. The inner liner has several minor chips and cracks in the gesso. It had to be repainted as the original gold leaf was no longer intact. This frame is being shipped without glass.

There is no reserve on this antique Eastlake Victorian deep walnut wood picture frame. It is shadow box style. It measures 13 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches and is 3 inches deep. The opening for a picture is 10 x 12 inches. I think it has a wood backing but the back is covered with the needle work material and I do not want to take it apart. There is a hanger and it has glass over the framed crewel basket of violets. It has a gold colored wood liner outlined with a black wood liner. Paint and plaster loss, about what you'd expect to find on this old a frame. Please examine the pictures carefully. It's as I found it at an estate sale. It comes with the remains of it's original painting in case someone is interested in reusing the old stretcher.

Deep antique walnut picture frame with gold inner liner from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The inner liner is 3/4 inches deep and is really a thin shadow box. The frame fits an approx 9 1/8 x 12 inch piece. Its exterior dimensions are approx 11 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches and it is 2 1/4 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the walnut. It is in very good condition, but there are some chips in the gesso and minor dings as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

The print is dated 1906 and attributed to the Gray Lithographic Co. of New York. The frame has scratches in the surface and a small area(about a half inch) where the beading has come off on the outer edge near the bottom of the frame. Mat and wood backing. I am not sure if the glass is original because I don't see any of the typical imperfections of old glass. The frame is in excellent condition with the exception of an area on the side near the back where the frame was evidently bumped and chipped. The piece is still there, but you can see the edge around it in the next to last picture where it doesn't fit back in perfectly. I honestly didn't notice it until I started inspecting the frame, but there is a tiny chip out of it. Other than that, there are ... morelittle gaps where the pieces of wood in the frame come together, as shown in the pictures. This can be tightened, but many people choose to use the frame in the antique condition with the gaps. The original backboard is in two pieces. Glass is older, but not overtly wavy or bubbled, the imperfections are not obvious and can only be seen from the side. Lovely old patina and in solid shape. A little damage to the gilded liner on the right side. The walnut has some wear but still displays beautifully. The back has its original pine shingle backing. The frame itself measures 16-1/8" x 13-1/8" And the opening for the photo is 10-5/8" x 13-5/8" The frame itself is about 1-1/2" deep, with a total of 2" deep with the molding on the back to hold the picture. A ~ Monochrome and color lithographs of paintings by various artists were produced by the Wilson Chemical Company. In Tyrone, Pa. during the early- and mid-1900s. The company manufactured and distributed White Cloverine brand salve and other products. It operated for ninety years in Tyrone— 1895 to 1985. In a unique marketing feature. With every one-ounce tin of Cloverine salve that was sold, a 9×11-inch(some larger) four-color print was given to the customer— all for twenty-five cents. The Wilson family commissioned artists to produce the paintings(many unsigned) exclusively for the company; the prints could not be purchased elsewhere. HUGE Wood Antique Victorian DEEP Walnut Eastlake Picture Frame 1874 Print
This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.

Large Late 19th Century Victorian style Solid wood picture frame. the outside of the frame is is solid wood with a decorative gesso design center frame. The decorative gesso to the to the innermost section of the frame is decorated in gold Leaf. The picture inside the frame is a signed chronograph print by William henry Chandler. He was an artist who resided in North Jersey and commuted to New York daily. These vintage solid oak wood frames measure a little over 6 x 7 inches with a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 gold gilt ribbet. They are 1 1/2 inches deep from top to back bottom and come with their original back hanging wire and hooks. They are open frames with no glass.
