*Antique Victorian Purse Expandable Square Frame Signed H D Decorative Scroll
SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE* This is an antique Victorian purse with a silverplate frame. The frame has a decorative scroll design on it. There is a small plaque on the front that has the initials"H D" Between the letter there is also a tower/birdcage on stand. Not actually sure what it is. There is a black fabric bag stitched to the frame. When you push the buttons on either end of the decorative bar at the top of the purse. The purse pops open and is has a square shape. The only markings on the frame is the makers mark I mentioned above. The black fabric of the purse has a few spots where there are white paint drops. Also a small tear on the front side of this purse on the bottom left corner. Inside there is a lavendar silk lining that has 2 small pockets. The inside is in good condition. The strap is 14" long. ... moreIt also has some paint drops on the strap. It measures 6 1/2" across and 9 1/2" long without the strap. The purse is in fair condition. Besides what I mentioned above there is a little corrosion to the metal frame along the bottom where the bag is stitched to it. It is from a smoke free home. Beautiful! Antique Gold Oval Decorative Wood Picture Frame 25 x 19 Nice!!!!
Here is a beautiful antique picture frame that I found at auction recently and had to buy. It is in excellent condition for such an old frame. It is around 19 by 25 on the outside and will accomodate a 13 by 19 oval picture. The center piece in it is now a piece of embroidered cloth mounted on a piece of cardboard. This frame is in such great condition that I see no chips or scratches. And someone put some kind of gold foil on the round knobs on each design. You can see that in the closeup pictures, it makes that part look like real gold. This is just a really nice old frame that will make a great compliment for that special picture you've been saving. This decorative antique picture frame measures 7 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" tall. I believe it may be iron with a brass finish(a magnet has some pull to it. But it doesn't hold. It holds a 3 1/2" x 5" photo and has four pivoting photo holders on the back for easy access. It also has a pivoting stand attached that can be laid flat against the frame to hang the picture on the wall. Or turned out to stand on its own. This is a heavy-duty frame. Offered for auction is a very unusual heavy brass photograph frame. The vintage frame has a beautiful pierced matte with long flowers in each corner. The border of the frame is very detailed. The back of the frame is black wood. It is held in place with two folded tabs. Two tabs are missing but the back is still secure. There are three solder marks on the base of the frame which I have highlighted in a photo. I'm not sure why these spots are there but they do not show when the frame is upright. The frame is 10 1/8 inches high and 8 1/8 inches across. The pierced matte is 1 1/8 inches wide. The photo size is 6 5/8 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide. The frame weighs nearly three pounds. This very neat antique solid decorative glass frame with old black and white pictures is fantastic. It was found in a estate and origin unknown. But the details of the frame seem very old and decortive. The frame is round 4 in or so and is concaved outward about 1.5 inches and made so the picture inside can be seen from almost every side or angle. The galss was formed and made to act like a magifine glass to make pic. larger than it really is! The frame inside has a ring of dots or boupee styled glass beads that run along the perimeter the back is metal and has a metal pull out stand. This is a very old wooden picture frame. With silver paint and decorative detail. I'm 64 and this frame was used for my father's family picture, in which he was a young boy. Total Frame dimensions are about 14 and 1/2" long and 12 and 1/2" high. The decorative part of the frame is about an inch wide all around. This is the original glass and cardboard backing. Glass has some staining at corners. That perhaps could be cleaned(I haven't tried) No cracks. The frame definitely shows wear with some of the silvered paint being worn to reveal wood. Especially along the top and bottom of the frame, with somewhat less wear on the sides. I'm not knowledgeable about antiques; just trying to do streamlining here at home. Up for auction is an old beautiful decorative gold gilded wood picture frame- in very nice condition for it's age. There is 1 small nick in the gold gilding toward upper left corner as shown in one of the photos. Measures approx. 28 3/4" H x 25" W; measurements of picture opening on back of frame is 20" H x 16 1/8" W. I am not an expert when it comes to picture frames. So I am not sure of it's age; however, looking at the wood, etc it is constructed from as well as the style& aged appearance, it is older- I'll leave that to the experts. This is an antique early 20th century Arts and Crafts or Art Deco decorative frame with a later matt. I would date it 1920s or 1930s. Overall. The frame measures 13 1/4 inches by 17 1/4 inches(33.66 cm x 43.82 cm) The back opening size is 12 inches by 16 1/8 inches(30.5 cm x 40.96 cm) The molding width measures 13/16 inches(2.06 cm) I initially thought this was a handcarved frame. But as I kept staring at it I came to the conclusion it is composition attached to the base wood. But it sure does look handcarved! The thin flat part of the front of the frame has noticeable light wear all along it. Please see photos) The decorative composition part is in very good condition. Though it does have that same type of wear. It also has a few very tiny nicks on the inner edge. But they're not very noticeable. This is a gorgeous antique gold acanthus leaf decorative frame. I would date it early 20th century. This frame has beautiful detail all over. It's made of composition over wood. Overall. The frame measures 14 3/8 inches by 13 3/8 inches(36.5 cm x 34 cm) The back opening size is 10 7/8 inches by 9 7/8 inches(27.6 cm x 25 cm) The molding width measures 2 inches(5.1 cm) The background color is a gold matt color and the elevated leaves are a shinier gold. It's not gold gilt. But a great old gold color. One corner has damage. With the tip of the leaf broken off in three places(please see photo) Another corner has an extremely tiny chip on the leaf and a pinhead hole right near it. The other two are in very good shape. Antique Vintage Art Deco Era Free Standing Decorative Picture Frame 6"x4.25"
Up for auction is an antique vintage 6" x 4 1/4" free standing Art Deco era gold colored brass front and metal backed picture frame with what appears to be original glass. Which was recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area. It is found in good used condition. It features what appears to be natural patina and has a nice cross hatched repeating design. The backing is set for horizontal pictures, but a sting is on the back for vertical hanging if needed.
