It has dainty brass handle hardware which I am not sure are original. The keyhole escutcheon are the big round medallions. The candle shelves have heavy incise carved burl front shelf supports, burl walnut trim going up the mirror and the big crest on top with a doorbell looking medallion on the top. The mirror is bevel glass, which is normally straight glass. The drawers are all hand cut dove tail. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 90 inches high overall.

Antique Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frame; walnut, old surface
Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance. Up for auction is an antique victorian Eastlake deep well picture frame. It is walnut wood and it looks like burl wood on the top part of the frame but I am not sure. I'm not a dealer but I know it is Eastlake. There is a frame of gold on the interior surrounded by 2 layers of walnut wood frame. Both walnut sections have intricate carvings of eastlake flower designs.typical of eastlake. This frame is a deeper frame than some others that I have. This is 3" deep. Although the front part of the frame is pretty good. The sides that are Black painted are rougher. 3 of the 4 sides have chipping of black paint. Looks like it was scraped on something. It can certainly be repainted black on the sides but I just never did. I bought the frame this way at an estate sale. This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.

Here is a beautiful old antique walnut picture frame. Made in the Adirondack style with carved bark molding, and inner gilt with striped tiger gilt gesso. The entire frame measures 20 1/2 x 26 1/2 ins. while the insert rabbet size is 16 1/8 x 22 1/8 ins. The molding is about 3 ins. wide, and it has a deep cove appearance. The frame is in fair as is condition with a piece of gesso chipped at inner right bottom side, could be touched up with gold paint or left as is. The frame has some mild surface scrapes/scratches common with age. It is a tad wobbly, you would probably consider re-gluing the miter joints for stability.This frame can be used vertically or horizontally. I would date this frame to the 1870-80s time period. Unusual Antique Victorian Deep Walnut 8x10" Shadow Box Picture Frame W/ Leaves Description. We've bought and sold hundreds of antique deep walnut frames. But never seen one like this, with the wooden leaf adornments in the corners. The leaves are similar to those found on frames generally called Adirondack or primitive style. It's possible that this was a one-off experiment in a frame shop. The addition to the leaves appears to have been original to the frame. As square nails are used to hold them in place. Click on the photos to enlarge and inspect for yourself. Please. Condition as is stated above. Measures about 12.75x14.75" on the exterior. This is a beautiful Victorian walnut picture frame with applied leaves on the corners. It holds an 8" x 10" picture. 17 1/2" Tall by 15" Antique Walnut Frame with a lovely Portrait of a Young Boy. There is water damage to the matte around the frame but the portrait itself appears to have escaped the damage. We believe that it was possibly refinished at some time in its life simply because of some finish that ran from the front to the back. The glass is possibly a replacement and the cardboard backing for a photo or miniature painting is surely not original. There is a small piece of"log" missing from the upper right. Approx 7 1/2" tall x 4 3/4" wide with the glass area being approx 2 3/8" wide x 3 5/8" tall. Note the primitive"leg" on the reverse so that the frame can stand on a table. Also it appears that at one time perhaps some medical adhesive tape was used at the top of the opening to keep the photo or painting ... morefrom falling out. Antique Large VICTORIAN Walnut Heavy Picture Frame Civil War Era 1860s 22 x 26
Here is a very large. Quite heavy antique walnut picture frame, circa 1860s. It measures 29 x 33 ins. in total size, and the insert rabbet for your art or mirror is 22 3/16 x 26 3/16, a 22 x 26 item should fit fine in here. The molding is about 4 ins. wide and it is a deep well with painted black ebonized lines on the surround. The frame is in FAIR as is antique condition, with some minor scrapes, scratches, some inner gilt gesso chipped off the slip liner, some black ebonized lines wearing away, and some miter corner separations. It is fairly sturdy, but could be stabilized further by re-gluing. It has a bit of old whitish paint at one side back corenr, unseen from the front and coudl probably be cleaned off if it bothers you. Please be aware this frame is approx. 1t is about 150+ years old. So will not be perfect like a new repro one.
