Pair Matching Antique Vtg Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames
We have for sale a Pair of Matching Antique Vintage Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames. First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. I believe these frames could be touched up a little or even left as they are for that nice vintage look. A $1.85 has been ... moreadded to your shipping for insurance. I am offering for auction an absolutely beautiful ANTIQUE GESSO& WOODEN FRAMED VICTORIAN LITTLE GIRL PRINT HOLDING A SPRIG OF HOLLY This piece is lovely and in very good used condition. I am not an expert of art. But, I would date this print and frame to the late 19th or perhaps the early 20th century. The frame is lovely with deep well effect. There is one area on the bottom where some of the gold has chipped off, very small and hard to see as someone tried to cover it. This could easily be repaired and covered. The original back has been replaced. The print is lovely of a little bright eyed girl in what appears to be Victorian dress and hat. Overall measures 25 1/2" tall by 19 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. I acquired this at sale of the estate. It was said to be late 19th century. Certainly no later than 1910. We are unsure of the age of the glass. The viewing surface has all the oxidation wear of a vintage old glass mirror. The back of the mirror is pristine. We are unsure if this is because this mirror hung undisturbed for a generation in the same spot or if the glass was replaced. The star of this sale is of course the carved wooden frame. Antique Victorian picture frame made of wood and gesso. It has an ornate design with some gilt. The frame measures 14-5/8" x 17-3/4" It does come with glass that is held in by nails on the back. The glass portion measures approximately 11 inches by almost 14 inches. There is a wire attached to the back for hanging. Overall this frame is pretty good condition with most of that gesso in tact. However it does show signs of age and wear. There are some small cracks in the gesso And some old green paint along the top. The glass does have one scratch. There os a picture. Gorgeous Antique 19th Century Victorian Gold Gilt Frame
This is a truly stunning antique late 19th century Victorian gold gilt frame. This frame will bring any oil painting you have alive! The overall frame measures 22 1/8 inches x 19 5/8 inches(56.2 cm x 50 cm) The back opening measures 10 3/4 inches x 8 1/4 inches(27.3 cm x 21 cm) The width is an incredible 6 inches(15.2 cm) It is made from three sections to form a super wide frame. It has some minor damage. One inside corner has a missing piece of composition about one quarter inch(64 cm) wide and the other corner has a tiny crack in it about 1 inch long(2.54 cm) There are a couple of pieces chipped off the composition and a very small amount of touchup in one corner on the outside. Up for auction is a sweet baby picture which looks to be from the Victorian era. The baby is wearing a long Christening gown. The picture has a gold gilted metal frame(with easel) and measures a little over 6" tall and over 3" wide. The matte looks to be handmade out of green ribbon but I'm not sure. There was a problem with photographing this picture. I kept getting a reflection off the glass. So please look carefully. This is an old picture so there are some imperfections. Offered for auction are these rectangular-oval picture frames with Godey like hand painted fashion prints. Shaped outer framing with inner frame or liner as a flat piece of wood with an oval deeply cut out to form the opening. The four corners of the flat liner have inscribed lines that form scrolls and framing of black lacquering and gilt lines. The inside of the oval opening is deeply recessed with gold gilding. Antique Victorian Girl w/ Dog Litho Print in Ornate Gold Gilt Wood & Gesso Frame
This is a fantastic antique lithograph print of a young girl playing with her teddy bear and her dog. The colors are beautiful and bold but may be slightly faded. And look excellent in the gold gilt frame. The print is slightly wavy but does not have any creases or tears, or water damage. The frame is in good condition with some small chips of gesso missing that are not obvious because they have been touched up with gold paint. The entire frame looks like it may have been re-painted at one time but still looks slightly darkened from age. The glass, print, and cardboard back panel are held snugly in place with some wooden slats that are nailed to the back with three pieces of a yard stick placed behind them. There is a wire screwed onto the back for wall hanging. This is an antique framed lithograph print from the early 1900's. The print. Frame, and glass are in very good condition. The print is boldly colored but might be slightly faded. The frame does not have any chips missing but might have minor scuffs or scratches from use. The back has a cardboard panel with manufacturer's label on it, although it is difficult to read. There are tiny square nails all the way around the back holding the cardboard in place. There is a wire screwed on for wall hanging. Antique Victorian Cast Gilt Metal Painted Photo Picture Frame Or Mirror Acanthus
Victorian cast metal or brass that is painted off white picture frame or mirror. The picture frame has very nice rococco style acanthus leaves designs all round and it is self standing with an easel type of metal on the back that folds in or extends out to hold the picture frame in place. The area for a picture or for a mirror has an opening on the front of 3 3/4" X 5 1/2" The measurements of the whole frame are 12" long X 8 1/2" wide. Please note that we are not sure if the off white paint finish is original to the frame or if someone did this at a later date. We do know however. That the frame itself is indeed dating from the Victorian Era. If the new owner wishes to remove the off white paint, the frame would show its gold gilt under coat which is now visible in a few areas here and there where the paint wore off. Victorian Antique Wood Gesso Black & Gold Gilt Oval Picture Frame With Mirror
Early Victorian carved wood and gesso frame with mirror in an oval shape being offered in its as is condition. The design is very beautiful but unfortunately the frame has some damages as seen in all the pictures and would need some restoration. Even though it does display a certain shabby chic elegance in its current distressed condition. The frame is oval in shape and it is decorated top. Bottom and both sides with leaves, nuts and berries in a high relief. There is a chis- cross design along the inside edge and the outside section is painted black. The mirror shows some age spots and a long(cut) line that shows through, but this is to be expected on an item this old. The back of the frame is a heavy piece of wood with a rectangular opening that has curved corners inside of which the heavy and thick mirror fits. The mirror is covered with ... morea flat piece of wood which is held in place with small nails. We have not removed this wood to expose the mirror and we have left everything in its as found condition. Please look at all the pictures to see where the gesso is chipped. The frame measures 14 1/4" long X 12 1/2" The frame would hold a picture that has to measure 10" X 8" This Victorian frame with mirror is being sold in its as is condition. Victorian Antique Gold Gilt Oval Gesso Needlepoint Roses Mirror Wood Frame
Early Victorian carved wood and gold gilt gesso frame with needlepoint rose bouquet framed in it. The frame is in an oval shape and it is decorated top. Bottom and both sides with high relief leaves and flowers. It measures 13" X 11 1/4" X 2" deep. The oval opening inside where a new picture or mirror can replace the needlepoint piece measures on the front 8" X 6" The frame is in good condition without any gesso missing. It does however have two stress marks or hairline cracks, one starting below the high relief central flower at the very top of the frame and going down to the end of the width of the frame and the other on the opposite side of the first at the bottom of the frame only on the inner 1/4" section by the glass. None of these are very noticeable and they do not detract from this antique frame's ... morebeauty or character. Please send payment within three days after the end of auction.

Lovely antique gilt gold Victorian frame/fits a 14" X 20" painting/circa 1880
This is a really pretty and beautifully designed Victorian frame made around 1880. While I cannot be sure. It looks like it is finished in metal leaf. It is made to fit a painting that is 14" by 20, so it's a common and sought-after size Overall size is 19" by 25. Condition is as found and as shown. Has a few minor losses- the most obvious being some liner loss of the sand and gold mixture. While I do not see that as a major problem, it's an easy fix by making your own sand/gold mixture and gluing it in place. This is a really sweet design that will enhance any pice of 19th century art. Here is a stunning 19th century shadow box style frame with gilt decoration. Frame has a very nice matted print with a woman reading a book. But should come out easily. Outside frame measures 14 1/4" x 12 3/8" the inside measures 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" Depth measures approx 3" Frame has some scuffs, but really in nice condition for its age. Nice quality antique frame, fresh out of an estate.
