The carvings and details on this piece are absolutely fabulous! We can confidently attribute this outstanding Etagere to George W. Ware and Company. Boston, Massachusettes. The top of this wonderful Etagere is graced with a magnificent pierced carved crown adorned with massive fruits and nuts. Carved scrolls, a grape cluster, along with leaf and foliate carvings and pierced scrolled work. This glorious crown sits upon the substantial arc-shaped bonnet top which provides the perfect introduction to the large oval mirror. This large oval mirror is encased in beautiful picture-frame moulding and appears to be original. Plenty of display opportunity is found on the eight graduated scalloped display surfaces as well as on the larger center white marble top display area above the serpentine bottom drawer. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. Pair Floral Needlepoints in Antique Deep Walnut Frames
This is a pair of hand-stitched needlepoint floral compositions. Each framed in a matching deep walnut frame. The outer measurements of the frames are 12 inches wide, 14 inches long, and 2 1/2 inches deep. The needlepoints have been stretched over wood and when framed extend the depth by 1/2 inch more. There is glass above the textile, so there is a bit of glare in the photos. The frames have a gilt lining and layers of black painted wood that contrast nicely with the walnut. There is one small fissure in one corner of a frame, shown in the photo. The conition of the frames is very good, with minimal signs of age, and the textiles are in excellent condition. We did not find a signature, but did not remove the needlepoints from the frames. We estimate that the frames date from the mid to late 19th century, and that the needlepoints may be ... moreoriginal to the frames, or may have been added in the early 20th century.

Print is titled"In Disgrace" and shows a young Victorian girl, with her dolly, and the family dog showing concern and sorrow for the young boy apparently being punished for some infraction. The print is dated 1906 and attributed to the Gray Lithographic Co. of New York. The golden frame shown inside the walnut frame is actually an image on the print and not a second frame inside the first, though it is hard to tell except under close examination. Antique Walnut Deep Well 8.75"x10.75" Picture Frame Lemon Gold Liner
Up for auction is an antique deep well walnut Victorian picture frame recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is found in good used condition and features a lemon gold colored inner liner. The liner does have some minor discoloration on the surface. There is a small crack in the frame which can be repaired. This is best seen in photo#4. There are some surface scratches as well, shown in photo#3. It has a hanger on the back, which shows age, but I cannot say if it is original or not. This antique frame will accommodate a picture or photo which measures approximately 8 3/4" x 10 3.4" in size. Mat and wood backing. I am not sure if the glass is original because I don't see any of the typical imperfections of old glass. The frame is in excellent condition with the exception of an area on the side near the back where the frame was evidently bumped and chipped. The piece is still there, but you can see the edge around it in the next to last picture where it doesn't fit back in perfectly. I honestly didn't notice it until I started inspecting the frame, but there is a tiny chip out of it. Other than that, there are ... morelittle gaps where the pieces of wood in the frame come together, as shown in the pictures. This can be tightened, but many people choose to use the frame in the antique condition with the gaps. The original backboard is in two pieces. It was originally held to the frame with nails along the edge, but most of those nails are gone, so it will need some new ones. I put some tape on the backing to hold it in place for now. Overall the frame is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. The outside dimensions are 11-3/8" wide by 13-1/2" long. Without the mat, the opening is 6-3/4" by 8-3/4" WIth the mat, the opening is perfect for a 5" by 7" picture or print. HUGE Wood Antique Victorian DEEP Walnut Eastlake Picture Frame 1874 Print
This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.

ANTIQUE PICTURE FRAME This is a really handsome antique deep walnut picture frame. It is made in three pieces and has five levels. One level has delicate Eastlake type engraving. The frame holds a mirror and was recently re-backed but older square nail construction remains visible. The outside frame measurement is 17" x 15" with the mirror(or image) area measuring 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" The pieces is 4" high. This frame is in exceptionally fine condition. There are a few minor scuffs and nicks but that's about it. Over all condition is as good as it gets. It is old. Solidly intact and beautiful.

Back of print was reinforced long ago– see photo. Old mat– probably original to the frame. Finish on the walnut is in good condition with deep rich color– a few superficial“use” marks visible close-up. Frame was made in 4 parts– see wood joints on the back. Joints in the frame are tight– no wiggle. Gold-tone liner looks like original finish. But the shine on the finish has partially worn down, with some discolorations. Glass is probably original to the frame. Partial original wood part– narrow piece missing– see photo. Weighs about 2 pounds before any packing materials. It's possible that this was a one-off experiment in a frame shop. The addition to the leaves appears to have been original to the frame. As square nails are used to hold them in place.
