The condition is very good and sturdy, however it's missing it's glass and backing. This sale is for the frame only. On the top of the back, there is some surface rust. On the top of the front, there is what might be the beginning of it(oxidation darkening) but this really doesn't detract from the overall great looks of this piece because it coordinates with the natural color of the frame anyway. This is marked on the part that goes on the back of the beveled edge glass Pat April23 1878. The frame does have a repair that may have occurred at the factory? The chair that the angel was sitting in was broken off and soldiered back on. You cant hardly tell it from the front. The oil painting of the baby is not signed and was done on canvass. It looks to be from the 1870's or 1880's. It is 2 inches across. The frame is made of cast iron and is 9 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Antique Vintage Cast Iron? Metal Art Double Oval Photo Picture Frame 5x4 Inches
Gorgeous old frame.im not sure of the metal though of what it is.It has oxidized areas. Gone green.in parts. I have used this frame in my home to display two Santa prints made of German postcard images.you can have them if you want them. The glass is held in place with the velvet backed boards using nails that slide into holes. It has lots of ware. Velvet is deteriorating but this is still lovely in your home. Sold as seen. This is a Very Beautiful Victorian Ornate Picture Frame made of Iron and has an Easel leg. The Design is so Classic with Scroll Work and Leaves. This Frame would look so pretty mixed in with a Shabby French Chic Setting in your home. The Print is Called"Over The Garden Wall" 1910. The Glass is so old that it has waves and a few bubbles and even some ripples. It is in good condition. The Easel Foot extends out to hold up this precious frame. There are 3 small arms on the backside that have screws to hold the picture in.see pics) Size: Frame- 11 3/4" tall x 8 5/8" wide at top and 7 3/8" wide at bottom. The picture opening is 5 5/8" tall x 4 1/8" wide. The easel arm/leg is 3 5/8" long. The Frame is made of Iron and has been painted an Antique Gold. It is the original Paint with a very nice patina.

There are a few spots of rust(look at the pictures) The easle looks to have been replaced, it’s painted gold has 3 flaps with screws to hold the picture in, over all it’s 11’ tall and 7.75’ wide, the only marking I see is the numbers on the back on the bottom that read 9235 3 7919. This is a stunning antique solid cast iron flour-de-lis oval standing picture frame. it is extremely ornate and made from heavy cast iron with a gold gilded finish. it has a wonderful patina from age. there are many flour-de-lis's wrapping the whole frame and it is topped with a dimensional medieval knight. it is ornately footed at the front and there is an equally as ornate pivoting arm in the back. it is in great antique shape and measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches tall. the opening measures 11 3/4 inches wide by 7 3/4 inches up and down. there are brackets in the back to hold whatever is put into the frame securely. This antique cast iron table top photo or mirror frame measures 12&1/2" tall. And the opening is approximately 4&5/16" x 6&1/8" It's made of heavy cast iron with a brass-colored metallic paint or plating. As shown, it's in very good condition, with no breaks or missing metal, just typical wear to the brass paint/plate here and there and a nice aged patina. The stand works fine. This does not have any backing. But since this has a metal stand, something can easily be rigged up to hold a photo or small mirror in the frame. I actually displayed this with a piece of murky antique shaving mirror glass in it, but because it was a bit small for the frame I had to place a slightly larger piece of glass taken out of a photo frame behind it to hold it in place, so I am NOT including the mirror in this listing.

No reserve for this really nice antique American Victorian era(circa 1880) solid walnut frame with original fancy scrolled cast iron decorative corners. Great for artwork or photos. Frame can be hung horizontally or vertically to suit your purpose. Frame features a removeable gold gilt liner if desired, ebonized black banded detail, original double oval matte, and original glass. Even retains the original backer board. Very solid and well-constructed, see photos for detail. The frame measures approximately 15" x 13" and the interior(sight from front, not including matted area) measures about 7 5/8" x 9 5/8" will accommodate an 8" x 10" picture nicely, or 9" x 11" with gilt liner removed. Offered is a truly unique Italian cast iron frame suitable for photograph. Painting or mirror. It is between 15- 16" round accounting for peak and"feet" It is unusual in that the standard in the rear is"footed" with a plate for securing to shelf or table top The standard is adjustable to about 30 degrees. The piece is beautifully made with ornate open work scallops and embossed detailing. There is a metal plate screwed to the back retaining the glass. The piece shows no sign of wear or defect. There are no foundary marks but there is a four digit pattern number"2061" This would be a stunning asset to a powder room, boudoir or chamber.

This attractive old cast iron picture frame is fresh out of a local estate sale. It measures 13 1/2" x 8 1/2" and the picture opening is 4 5/6" x 3 1/4" This frame is beautifully detailed with bow. Drapes and garlands. I believe this frame dates to the mid 19th century. Unfortunately the frame is missing the back easel stand so the frame cannot stand alone. There are a few shallow age lines around the bow. The bow area is completely sturdy. Original patina with deep mellow gilt paint. No manufacturer's mark. This frame is exceptionally lovely.

A vintage cast iron mirror photo frame. Has a nice art nouveau styling with a brass colored finish. The design is raised in some areas. Not sure of the age or maker. But is definately old. I presume that these frames were obtained by the GI's to put their photos in for the families back home. It shows the Eagle. Drums and bugles, American crossed flags, and crossed cannon on the bottom. It is heavy and well made. A true collectors item~ the numbers 9445 is stamped into the metal on the back of the frame. This frame is in wonderful shape for it's age with a great patina. There is some wear to the blue paint on the American flags and a few small flaws or chips on the right side. Vintage large metal frame in a Victorian style which is beautiful in design. The frame is beige in color in a rectagular shape. Classical design with curves and intricate works which artists of the highest order can produce. The frame has 4 clip for holding photographs. There is no glass. The frame measures approx 16 1/4" from the top to the bottom and approx 11 1/2" from side to side. The opening to the frame measures approx 8 1/4" from top to bottom and 5 1/2" from side to side. But they're really gilt cast iron. The frame would hold a rectangle shape photo or mirror. The color appears to be yellow or peach with and without the camera flash. However. I've asked 5 different people the color& have gotten 3 different answers. yellow, peach, or light/pale tan. The flowers beneath the glass front look purple. Blue, or indigo depending on the lighting. The flowers are the same color with different patterns. Approximately 1920s to 1940s Overall nice condition with natural wear and minimal paint loss. I have not and will not clean the frames.
