Gorgeous Early 1900's Art Nouveau Czech Jeweled Brass Filagree Picture Frame. The frame is 8.75" by 6.75" print size is 8" by 5-7/8" and in excellent condition- no chips. Cracks, breaks, or repairs. Brass is bright with a slight patina. Detailing of the filagree is quite ornate. There are 4 purple, 4 red, and 4 green rhinestones decorating the frame. I am con stantly amazed at the s tuff i come across. T hese are a n excellent pair of c1930 possibly French Art Deco burled walnut or elm vene ered frames. I am guessing a bit at them bei ng French but i do know they are from Europe. Amazing burled veneer that i believe is walnut but could possibly be elm too. Out stan ding condit ion with no losses to the veneer and a beautiful golden patina. Each frame has three rosette de corations at the bottom. A metal ri ng at th e top and a half round leaf and berry accent p iece on each side. Solid lap joint const ruction. Frames measures 22 1/4 x 26 7/8 with a 15 7/8 x 20 1/2 rabbet and a 15 x 19 1/2 viewing area. Would make a beautiful pair of mirrors. Please email with any questions. Antique art Nouveau bronze frame signed. Numbered superb Polychrome patina- dress and flower are reddish brown. Leaves and inner tiny frame are greenish, body and arms- olive- brown, VERY BEAUTIFUL! I'm not sure but maybe it is cold painted? I'm not an expert. But there are definitely different shades of patina there. The back leg is broken. So the frame won't stand like it supposed to, there are two screw holes for back side. Such a beautiful frame- Estate find. Very dark brown to black wood. All the designs on front are raised wood- gold in color. At top of frame is an ornate hand held fan that has ropes coming off of it in four directions and connecting to 2(one on each side of glass) gothic looking bird heads. Really neat! There is wood beading/trim around the glass- also gold in color. Some of the beading has some small nicks(see photos) Some nicks around edge of frame and backside. Glass intact. The picture inside frame is just a piece of paper and the backing is a small piece of aged cardboard. There are 2 old screws with wire for hanging. The frame measures approx 11" tall x 13" wide. Captain Joseph and Hannah Juliand settled in Hornby, NYS, now known as Greene, NY. Their son, Joseph Juliand, along with his wife Cornelia, opened the Juliand House in 1810. This inn is still an ongoing business in Greene as a successful bed& breakfast. These early framed pictures were taken out of the bed& breakfast. We have been unable to find photographs of Joseph and Cornelia, but logic would suggest they are of the Juliand House originators.

It seems to have been introduced around 1900 and was used on both domestic and industrial designs as well as jewellery. Officially it was withdrawn in 1945 but also appears on some items of a later date. DRGM This is a rare example of the use of both design registration marks. Found under a good folding letter rack made from sheet brass.

This is for an absolutely gorgeous antique picture frame.Found this at an estate sale that was at an old church in east aurora.N.y.Its in excellent shape for its age.Considering the art nouveau stye I would date it between 1880 and 1920.I have done nothing,it is as i found it.I like to try and note all defects so here is what i see.There is some loss of patina around the rim(see pic)I can also see that someone took the back off(probably to clean/make sure there was no valubles)and didn't line up the tabs correctly.Its still working just fine the way it is.They also left some what looks to be soap on the inside of the glass(upper right side)Should clean right off.Also there is some wear marks on the glass which i also pictured.and that is pretty normal for a 100 to a 130 year old picture frame. All these are unobtrusive and its still a ... morebeautiful piece of artwork.Just look at the pics. This is a Very Beautiful Victorian Ornate Picture Frame made of Iron and has an Easel leg. The Design is so Classic with Scroll Work and Leaves. This Frame would look so pretty mixed in with a Shabby French Chic Setting in your home. The Print is Called"Over The Garden Wall" 1910. The Glass is so old that it has waves and a few bubbles and even some ripples. It is in good condition. The Easel Foot extends out to hold up this precious frame. There are 3 small arms on the backside that have screws to hold the picture in.see pics) Size: Frame- 11 3/4" tall x 8 5/8" wide at top and 7 3/8" wide at bottom. The picture opening is 5 5/8" tall x 4 1/8" wide. The easel arm/leg is 3 5/8" long. The Frame is made of Iron and has been painted an Antique Gold. It is the original Paint with a very nice patina.

Art Nouveau Antique Picture Frame Here we have an antique Art Nouveau style picture frame. Stamped on it's easel is: Pat Oct 29 01(see photo) There is also marking at the bottom of it that I can't read(see last photo) Approx. Size: 5" wide x 7" ht. This is from my personal collection. I purchased this frame in an antique store in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the 1980's. I believe it could be made of brass. It has no glass. It has a nice vintage patina to it with worn spots in the finish. I have never cleaned it. It has an easel style stand. Final sale item. I am downsizing my collections and have many other collectible and antique picture frames for sale in my Ebay Store.

This lovely. Antique“Art Nouveau” picture frame features a beautiful, smiling woman, in profile, who is gazing at fluttering butterflies. The woman is dressed in a strapless, Greek-style, full-length gown and she stands among ivies and ferns underneath a tree. There are also likenesses of oversized lilies, along with an organic flowing design, on the front of the frame, that reflects how nature inspired the artists of that time. The frame is made of cast brass. And there is evidence of applied patinas; most noticeable is a bronze color on the woman's skin, and a green tint on the leaves. The frame's picture opening measures just over 5 ½” x 3 ¾” and the overall size is about 12” tall, at its highest point by 8 ¾” wide, at its widest point. There is an ornate stand attachment on the back that swings out perpendicular ... moreto the frame, to allow the frame to stand on its own. There are some numbers embossed on the bottom of the back of the frame that are hard to read, though a“0” and an“8” are clear, and the sequence may be“8018” Though reproductions of a similar frame have been made, the frame up for auction, here, is an antique. Pair Ornate Aesthetic Movement Art Nouveau Antique Gold Gilded Frames
This is a beautiful pair of ornate antique gold gilded frames. I would date them late 19th century. They seem to have an Aesthetic Movement feeling to them as well as a sense of Art Nouveau. Talk about a gorgeous pair of frames! The detail on them is just lovely. And the gold color is simply beautiful. They are very well-made and must have been very expensive in their day. They are of such good quality that they appear to be handcarved. But I believe they are applied compo. Overall. Each measures 17 1/4 inches x 20 1/4 inches(43.82 cm x 51.44 cm) The back opening sizes are 14 1/8 inches x 17 1/8 inches(35.8 cm x 43.5 cm) The moldings are 1 3/4 inches wide(4.45 cm) One has its original wood backing. Each has hairline cracks on them due to age. But these definitely do not take away from the look of the frames. They also each have a few minor ... morenicks on them and some loss of gold along the side edges. But nothing bad. They are unusual in that the glass was put between the gold liner and the outer frame. Perhaps there were watercolors or drawings in them originally. But there may have been paintings. I'm just not sure. They have developed a really beautiful warm. Golden patina. Together they weigh 10 lbs. 13 oz. 4.9 kg) They were definitely made by a very skilled and talented framemaker.
