Antique vintage 1920s 1930s era ART DECO silver & black picture frame w/ cupid
For your consideration is this antique Art Deco silver and black frame with a black and white sketch of a cupid. The frame is metal and the"matting" that one sees that is black and silver is painted. I have not attempted to open the back of the frame not wanting to disturb anything inside. The frame itself measures 6" X 8" and the inside measurement for the photo that would show is 3.5 X 5.5 inches. The frame and the paint are in excellent condition with the exception of an extremely small divet in the upper right hand corner of the frame itslef which I have attempted to photograph in the third photo. This will be shipped from a smoke free and pet free home and international bidders are welcome!

We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Antique, framed print. The print is signed(picture 5) The subject is an exquisitely executed sketch of a Skye Terrier. The detailing is remarkable and quite realistic. The expression is captivating. The print is framed in the most beautiful manner. The antique French style, wooden frame is large and substantial. It is finished in black with thick, carved wood, acanthus leaf and scroll accents. These accents highlight and practically cover each corner and extend up the sides, top and bottom. They are gold giltwood and are striking against the black. The print has EDIZ P.V. 21 inscribed under the terrier(picture 6) According to a couple of knowledgeable sources. This indicate that this is, in fact, an engraved reprint of an original art. The number 21 indicates the printing was done in 1921. The matte ... moreis also stamped with two insignias(see picture#7) The first is a fleur de lis with a circle around it. In very tiny print within this circle are the the words, Ediz. P.V. Fiorenza" This indicates that the print and matte were done in Italy. The second stamp on the frame is an artist's paint brush surrounded by a rectangle. Inside the rectangle are the words"Coloratura a Mano" and"Originale Ponte Vecchio" According to what I find online, this is the company in Italy that did the printing. This company was in business in the 1920s and the 1930s. This is an exceptional piece. Both in design and in quality. It is simply stunning. It is in very good condition with only minor scuffing to the finish of the frame. It is covered with a black fiber paper on the back which is still in very good condition. AMAZING Antique 1920s BUTTERFLY & Botanical Display in Wood Frame UNIQUE!
One of a kind! This is an absolutely gorgeous antique display featuring butterflies and botanical specimens mounted on wool and framed under glass in a beautiful 1920s-era wood frame. Nicely designed. The display shows three butterflies above a collection of tiny flowers and stems with two arching grasses on either side. The tableau is set against a background of cream-colored wool fabric and the entire piece is preserved under glass in a lovely wood frame with raised floral decorations. Amazing! The back is covered in dark green felt and has little rubber feet on each corner. So it could be used as a tray. It also has a wire hanger, though, so it could also be hung and displayed. In some places about 1/4 of an inch deep. The subject matter is outstanding. Food, dancing, fellowship and even the neighborhood dog are found in this picture. Condition: I do not see any cracks in the art. As well. I don't see any pushed-in areas. The back of the art(see last photograph) looks like it is missing the original black paper backing. Antique 1920s or 1930s Arts and Crafts"pie crust" picture frame. This particular frame is designed by it's decorations to be hung long vs wide. You can see that in the photos but there are certainly no laws against hanging this frame wide. This little gem has interior or rabbet measurements of 10 1/16" by 8 1/8" Overall exterior measurements are 11 1/8" by 9 3/8" The rabbet measurements are 1/4" wide by 3/8" deep. The finish is a rich. Darkish, bronzey gold with the edges brought to a higher shinier gold. This frame has had a good life and is in very good original vintage condition. There are simply no glaring flaws to tell you about and no repair. Just the smallest bit of wear from use. Questions always welcome and thanks for looking.

Antique wood and gesso picture frame from the teens or 1920s. This frame was made to hold a work of art vertically at 20" by 16" because of the extra bat wing or pie crust decoration at top(or bottom) of frame. Actual rabbet measurements are 20 3/16" by 16 3/16" The width of the frame is 1 1/2" not counting the outward extension of the wings or pie crust at the four corners and at the top. The color is a dark bronze. Condition is very good with no real negative condition issues. This antique frame will show beautifully any fine painting.
