This one, however, is particularly spectacular and elegant, and is so well preserved it would make up into a fabulous down-filled throw pillow top. Large ornate antique gold picture frame from theVictorian era(late 1800s) The frame has a very ornamental design. It fits an approx 16 1/8 x 20 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 27 5/8 x 31 1/2 inches and it is 2 3/4 inches high. The frame is made up 4 separate pieces(see last photo) Most of the frame is in very good condition. However the medallion in the lower right corner(first photo) was missing and had to be replaced. It should be less noticeable when hung on the wall. There are also several minor dings, etc. as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

Beautifully made, this wood frame has very elaborate carved flowers and scrolls decorating the corners and center parts of the frame. There are a few very small, minor losses to the frame and I have taken photos of those. This is a solid frame and is in excellent condition for its' age. The frame will fit a work of art that is 16 x 20. The overall size of the frame is 20 x 24. The reverse side of the frame has an old cotton cord still attached and has some old pieces of backing paper on the edges. Frame does not have any glass or backing board. Antique Vintage Wood and Gold Floral Filigree Gesso 16 x 20 Picture Frame
This is a fantastic antique picture frame for a 16" x 20" photo. Print, or painting. There is no glass, so if glass would be desired, it would need to be 16" x 20" to fit into the frame. The frame is solid and sturdy, very well made, and in very good condition overall. There are two spots where the gesso has chipped away and are shown in the photos. There are actually four layers of wood; the layers alternate between medium-dark finished wood with a slightly reddish hue and wood that is topped with a leafy floral gesso and painted gold. The gold may have been repainted at some time, and there are some spots where the gold has been accidentally brushed onto the edges of the adjacent wood(you can see this if you look closely at the pictures. It looks fantastic the way it is, and I believe the gold spots on the stained wood ... morecould be removed easily. Overall, both wood and gesso are fantastic. The outside measurements of the frame are 25 1/2" x 30" It does not have any hangers on the back at this time and can be used both horizontally or vertically depending on where the hangers are placed. Up for sale is a very old victorian style wooden picture/mirror frame. I am not sure of its age but it was my grandmothers and she had it for a quite a bit. This frame measures 26 1/2 inches by 30 1/2 inches from one exterior edge to the other. The inside measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches as is visible on the exterior. The frame will hold a 16 by 20 inch piece or art or mirror. The frames protrudes about 2 1/2 inches from the wall. It need a new hanging wire. Handcrafted period carved gilded frame with standard 16 1/4" by 20 1/4" rabbet. 20 1/2" by 24 1/2" outer dimensions, 2 1/2" width. Interesting corner carving with modernist feel, carved and pencil signed on reverse, dated 1941. Believe is metal leaf from tone of gold, but could be real gold, not sure. Heavily toned, but could probably be easily lightened if desired. Very good to excellent condition with only very minor finish blemishes from age.

There is one light split in wood, much like a paint peel and not a crack[see photo# 12] No glass. Piece measures 30" x 26" measuring outer edges with and length. This is a vintage wormy chestnut mid century modern painting frame in the Heydenryk style. It definitely looks like a frame The House of Heydenryk would have made. But it doesn't have a label. It probably dates 1940s or 1950s. Overall. It measures 21 1/2 inches x 25 1/2 inches(54.6 cm x 64.8 cm) It has a back opening size of 16 1/8 inches x 20 1/8 inches(41 cm x 51.1 cm) The molding width measures a touch under 3 inches(7.6 cm) It has a textured. Combed surface. The profile is a great-looking reverse cove. The wood under the linen-covered liner is not wormy chestnut. But a different type of wood. The interior section is painted a reddish/goldish/grayish color. Giving it a wonderful look. The back has writing which says#D3331. I believe this was a model number. It also says#5 linen a few times. There is light chipping around the outer ... moreedges(please see photos) The liner has two small stains. Each with about a 3/4 inch diameter(3.2 cm) along the bottom middle section of the frame. There are a few very small marks on it also, but nothing significant. There is no glass. Antique Shabby Wood & Gold Gilt Floral Gesso 16 x 20 Picture Frame
This is a uniquely colored antique picture frame with two borders of elegant floral gesso leaves in a dark bronze color alternating with two ribbed borders in a metallic greenish gold. There are some pieces of gesso missing that have been touched up with matching paint and are not very obvious. The greenish gold borders have some dings. Scuffs, and scratches, many of which have been touched up with a gold color that doesn't quite match but is close. Most of the paint is darkened from age and there are some stains on it. The glass is a newer replacement piece and there is a new piece of cardboard and metal hanger on the back. This a fantastic shabby picture frame that is perfectly useable and would be a wonderful piece in which to display a vintage print or portrait. It holds a picture measuring 20" x 16" and can be hung horizontally ... moreas is(as shown in the photos) but the hanger can be moved or another could be added to hang the frame vertically. The outer dimensions are 30" x 26" I will pack it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Great Modernist picture frame/fit a 16" X 20" painting/1950s-60s
This is a very cool frame done in a Modernist style. Not sure. But looking at it, I would say it dates to the 1940s-60s. Overall size is 19&1/2" by 23&1/2. Molding is 2. Rabbet is 16&1/4" by 20&1/4. So it will fit a 16" by 20" painting. This frame is either natural wood or has a light stain- can't really tell. Condition is as found and as shown. I would say VG to Excellent with no major flaws.
