Stunning Tall Antique Glass Decanter 25" Austrian Crystal Molded Hand-Cut
Incredible Austrian glass decanter. Over 2 feet tall! My guess is that it's molded glass, with hand-cut crosshatching and details. The previous owners said it was from Austria. Looks like it was made 1920-1940's. Approximately 6" wide at its widest. So beautiful and elegant. There is some hand water staining inside, I washed it recently with some vinegar but haven't tried to scrub the white traces of the hard water from the inside, I think it either needs scrubbing or to sit with vinegar inside for several days. I'm moving and won't be permanently settled for a while so I don't want to carry this around with me and risk damage, it's an incredible piece, I've never seen a decanter so tall! Colourful Antique Victorian “End of Day” Hand-Made Glass Vase
This striking little vase is definitely a hand-made and mouth-blown Victorian piece and not a modern reproduction. As you can see from the bubble enclosures and the rough pontil on the base(see close-up photo) At the end of a working day, the glass blowers often had little scraps of different coloured glass left over, which they then mixed together to use them up and produced a so-called end of day piece, of which this vase is a beautiful example. The vase is 17cm high and 19cm wide from handle to handle. Antique Hand Blown Amber Glass Bottle/ Flask/ Decanter with applied handle This is a handblown bottle or flask made of light amber glass. It has an applied handle at the neck and an applied rim- the shape of this suggests an early nineteenth century date. There is a high kick in the base. The surface is slightly irridescent and heavily corroded and pitted as this piece has obviously been buried somewhere damp for many many years. There is no damage to the bottle other than this surface corrosion( which I think adds tremendously to its interest) A wonderful tactile object. This is an antique hand blown art glass paperweight dated 1887. It is in excellent condition considering the age. No chips or cracks. It is clear glass with red. White, and blue colors inside. On the inside close to the bottom it has a cracked glass rectangle piece with black writing"1887" Some of the pictures just shows a little of it. You have to hold it at sort of an angel to see it. The front of the goblet features a beautiful image of roses with Carterville, Ill written in cursive above it. The goblet stands 6" inches tall and measures 3 1/4" inches dia. This goblet is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks, the only problem I can find is there is some light wear to the gold band at the top of the cup, besides that this item is in great shape.
