And there is about a million of inches of snow on the ground, in order to take a few pictures of this huge carrier, I took it outside because nothing beats sunlight for showing colors accurately. In other words, I did it for you. This carrier is right out of someone’s smokehouse. And it comes complete with cobwebs, estate dirt, and everything else associated with old, undisturbed, primitive things. It is big! The box part is 25 ½” by 10 ¾” at the top edge. It is 4 ½” deep. The total height to the top of the handle is 6 ½” So we’re talking about a large tote. Weight = 5 ½ lbs. I managed to get two or three pictures before almost freezing to death. And I know who’s to blame. It’s the person who invented the chill factor. I knew it was 3° outside, but my smart phone said it“felt like” 10° below zero. The paint is not original to this old firkin. It is painted and distressed to appear like early paint. The lid has one finger band and the bucket has two finger bands. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. It has some cracking from age along with a place on the edge where the gesso has chipped away over the years and a few visible layers of old paint(see pics) and is just as found. It measures 18 inches long, 15 inches wide on the outside; inside the frame is roughly 11 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches. On the back side, it is made to take a square piece of glass measuring a little over 12 by 9 inches. The lip for the picture/ glass measures roughly 3/8ths on an inch deep. 26"x22" antique Victorian wood picture frame with gold gesso trim/wavy glass
This is an antique picture frame of oak with 2 sets of the gold gesso trim around it. Frame width is 3 1/2" Overall size is 22"x26" with glass size of 16"x19" Comes with the original wavy glass. There are a few small pieces of gesso missing but you have to really look to notice. Overall good condition and very nice frame. Thanks for looking!

One of the screw eyes for the wire has come through the front. The frame is 26 1/ 2"x 2 2 3/8" It will hold a picture that is 16 3/ 16" x 20 3/16" If you have an old picture you want to display. Beautiful! Antique Gold Oval Decorative Wood Picture Frame 25 x 19 Nice!!!!
Here is a beautiful antique picture frame that I found at auction recently and had to buy. It is in excellent condition for such an old frame. It is around 19 by 25 on the outside and will accomodate a 13 by 19 oval picture. The center piece in it is now a piece of embroidered cloth mounted on a piece of cardboard. This frame is in such great condition that I see no chips or scratches. And someone put some kind of gold foil on the round knobs on each design. You can see that in the closeup pictures, it makes that part look like real gold. This is just a really nice old frame that will make a great compliment for that special picture you've been saving. Vintage Antique tilt swing wood art deco picture frame with sailor picture
This is a vintage antique Art Deco tilt swing wood and composite picture photo frame. It is of muted browns and gray tones. Some gild as well. It is 13" tall to top of decoration and is 12.5" across the bottom stand. The glass measures 9.5" T x 7 3/4" W and has a very handsome photo of a sailor which comes with it. The depth of the inside of the frame front to back of frame is about 3" Frame 13 1/2" x 11 1/4" opening is 8" x 10" The frame is made of wood and pieces do not separate other than the glass. The glass rests in the front but was held in place with tape. Also glass appears to have been chipped into an oval not cut with glass cutter. No back is present with this piece. There are a couple of very minor hairline cracks but no loss of material. The gesso has a shell and rose pattern in it. Very ornate. Then each corner has an added ornate overlay with acanthus leaves and flowers. This would be wonderful to add a mirror and hang it or use it as a vanity mirror. In addition it's perfect to use as a picture frame, comes with glass and is ready to hang. The overall measurement is 18x15 and inside measures 13.25x10.25 inches. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE GILT WOOD GESSO PICTURE MIRROR WALL FRAME ORNATE 24"x32" LARGE
We are pleased to offer this very beautiful. C1920, antique frame. This frame offers solid gilt wood with gesso acanthus leaf accents in the corner sections. The frame features an outer design of small cut/incised acanthus leaves. There is a unique cut pattern to the wood in the center sections of the frame which gives it a"brushed" gold appearance. The inner section features small cut beads. The frame is very European in style and design. It is very beautiful and in very good condition. There are some very minor surface cracks to the gesso, as it quite common with pieces this old. They do not extend below the surface and do not affect the stability of the gesso. They are very hard to discern except upon very close inspection. The frame does not show its age at all and the gilted finish is incredible. The frame had an old picutre ... morein it which was not in good condition. There are traces of the old paper backing to the back of the frame. The frame retains the hangers and wire. This is a nice sized frame. The outer measurements are 24" x32" The inner dimensions are 20"x26" The frame is 1.25" in thickness at the corners and.75" elsewhere. I am not an expert of art. But, I would date this print and frame to the late 19th or perhaps the early 20th century. The frame is lovely with deep well effect. There is one area on the bottom where some of the gold has chipped off, very small and hard to see as someone tried to cover it. This could easily be repaired and covered. The original back has been replaced. The print is lovely of a little bright eyed girl in what appears to be Victorian dress and hat. Overall measures 25 1/2" tall by 19 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. UP for bid is a Beautiful Antique wood frame and Gesso carved design showing all four corners and the middle plus the back.
