They are made of very heavy paper and are in excellent condition. They were bought by my mother in a Paris flea market in the 1960's and framed later in the 1970's. They were never printed with advertising. The gold accents are raised. These are not any kind of reproduction but guaranteed authentic antiques. Pair Antique French Empire Period Ormolu Bronze & Marble Urns Converted to Lamps
Pair Antique French Empire Period Ormolu Bronze& Marble Urns Converted to Lamps(Click to Enlarge) Click to Enlarge) Included here is a pair of antique urns from the French Empire period. They have a tapered vase shape with dark patination. Are mounted on rouge griotte marble bases, and are fitted with angular handles rising from bearded lion masks. Each measures 12.7 cm(5" wide and deep at the base, and 54 cm(21.25" to the top where the finials screw down, and 57.2 cm(22.5" to the tops of the finials. The lower sections are decorated with foliate mounts and the pedestals feature mounts depicting rosettes and lyres. Sometime in the early twentieth century each were drilled to accomodate lamp hardware, and bronze bases with fitted side holes to accomodate lamp wiring were also added. Brass finials decorate the top of each ... morevase, and the finials do not match. The matching sections beneath the finials have some corrosion and white residue which we will try to remove prior to shipment. We will be happy to add sockets and wiring for $150. Or, if you wish to use them as decorative objects, we can source a brass finial to match either existing finial. These urns are almost identical in design. Size, decoration and craftsmanship to others attributed by Sotheby's to the French bronzier Claude Galle(1759-1815) who is said to have been one of the most important bronze artists of the post-revolutionary period. He was a principal supplier of decorative art for the chateaus Fontainebleau, Compiègne, Rambouillet, and Trianons. Pair of jewelled copper over glass perfume/ scent bottles. French or Czechoslovakian. Probably date to early 20th century- Arts and Crafts period. Each bottle is approx 5 3/8 inches high. Hexagonal body on 4 ball feet. Glass is mounted in copper. Each copper panel is set with deep blue stones(deeper than in the'photos) and alternating panels with applied openwork shield decoration. Rim of copper is set with a ring of blue stones. The surface is handhammered/tooled. Bottom of copper mounts differs: one has snake-skin texture while the other has a raised floral decoration. The glass narrows sharply to a long, faceted neck, ending in a gold band and rim. Faceted stoppers. Pair Antique Miniature European Oil Landscape/ Floral Paintings - Ornate Frames
Pair of charming antique oil paintings of landscapes. Probably European in origin. Ornately framed with brass decorated with filigree and paste? gems. One is signed"Fanny" last name hard to make out) and the other does not appear to be signed. Mats are velvet and glass ovals are convex. Each has a small loop at the top for hanging. These loops were originally brass but one has been rather clumsily replaced. See pix. These oils are out of the estate of a woman who died at 102 and had previously owned an antique shop on Cape Cod. Frames are 6.5 x 7.5 inches and oval painted area is 3.5 x 4.5. Good quality antique oils. Wish I knew more about them.

This is a framed group of two tortoise shell instruments as well as a Japanese folk lute. All the pieces are hand made. The tortoise shell pieces are a mandolin and a guitar. The lute is 8 ½ inches long and it is made of wood. The frame is a shadow bow with Japanese fabric in the background. The shadow box is 11 ¾ inches wide. 21 ¾ inches long and 2 ½ inches high. The outside of the frame is gold in color. The mandolin has some loss on each side. The strings on the two tortoise instruments are not straight. The frame is a small shadow box and it is 20 5/8 inches long and 7 inches wide. The instruments are both hand made. They date to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. There is no damage visible but we have not removed them from the frame.

The brass bevel rings are slightly tarnished due to the age however are not pitted. The backs of the frames are a burgendy colored alligator skin patterened material that is wrapped and tacked to the back with brass nails. The gilding on the ormolu has faded with time and they have a fabulous Fatigued French finish. The gilt is still in place underneath the candle holders and is a glorious shiny gold. I have to say that I prefer the faded elegance of the front surface! The engraving on the ormolu is fabulous. There is some verdigris but they would polish up more if you wished. Pair of Framed Antique Hand Painted Portrait on Porcelain Miniature Paintings
Offered for sale is a pair of framed hand painted portrait on porcelain. Each piece has a woman portrait painting on 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" porcelain dish mounted on high quality gold gilded and velvet wooden shadow box frame. The frame is 7" x 7" x 2"Thickness. The paintings are unsigned on front. I am not sure whether they have signatures on the back. I can't take them down. From the paintings I believe they were painted by a master painter. Age and origin unknown. I would guess they are either from Germany or France. The porcelain dishes have minor chips or scuffing on the edges showing the age of these pieces. These minor flaws do not detract the beauty of these piece. Both paintings are in great shapes. overall the pair is in very good to excellent condition. The frames preserve so well. This is a beautiful pair of chalkware decorative wall plaques from the Victorian era with figural dimensional angels on them. They each measure about 16 1/2 inches tall. About 13 1/2 inches wide, and about 3 1/2 inches deep. One of the plaques has a small chip on the side(see photos) They are from my personal collection and are fragile. Antique Italy figurines pair ALABASTER STALLION HORSES statuettes statues marble
Striking matched pair of rearing stallions of carved polished alabaster. Fully figural and on black marble base c. early 1900’s Italy. I purchased the pair some years ago from a New York collector who said she’d brought set from Italy some decades ago. No maker/ carver mark. Horses are 9-1/4” height on base(which is 7/8” tall) Width from front rearing leg to tail is 6-1/2” Flowing curvilinear pedestal is same piece of stone. Figures set on bases of black marble which are rounded in front& flat on back measuring 4-1/2” wide x 2-1/2” deep. The horses are fully figural& interactive. Nice stone in good condition. The left handed horse has more black in its head area(mostly on mane on backside) and weights 2lbs 11.6 oz; that horse’s right ear on inner side is not polished as is remainder of figure. The right handed horse weighs 2 lbs 14.4 ... moreoz. The set have been behind glass and the alabaster is in overall great condition. A few tiny pings to the finish but no major flaws apart from the ear as noted. Combined weight for the pair is 5 lbs 10.2 oz. Will ship double-boxed at shipping weight of 9 lbs and will be insured and tracked. Pair of French antique Louis XVI bronze and marble urns
This pair of French antique Louis XVI bronze and marble urns is just in from France. The pink“rosso antico” marble is offset with bronze mounts at the base and the top and rams’ heads under the handles. Each base is rounded at the front and straight across the back. The pieces have 4 bun feet. Condition is very good. With some faint age spots to the gilded bronze and a couple real minor chips to the edge of the base, all consistent with age. Measurements are: 5 ½’ by 4” 11” tall.

The estate I purchased these from. I was also able to purchase other items from the late 1800's to early 1900's. These are very old looking. My guess is maybe from the late 1800's to early 1900's. BUT, please look at the photos and please be your own judge. I was unable to get any history on this pair of decorative, antique wall fans. The description on the tag and also printed on the invoice is'Pair of Antique Oil on Canvas French Fans' They have the crazing type places in the painting from age I assume? But, still beautiful and displays beautifully. The fan shaped piece the painting is in is a harder, thicker, made of a quality plastic type of material.maybe bakelite or? I really do not know: But there are etched/carved designs on it. I am selling them just as I purchased. 12 photos uploaded. They are signed R. Wilson ... morein the corners. Side to side they measure approximately 23 1/2 inches and top to bottom, tallest part, approximately 12 inches. So very unique, old and beautiful. I wish I knew more about them. This is for the pair.
