We have for sale a Pair of Matching Antique Vintage Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames. First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. Welcome. For your consideration is a vintage late 1800's- early 1900's Eastlake style walnut and gold gesso frame. The frame is in overall good condition with the walnut having gentle wear and tear to the surface. The inner surface of the frame has several beveled edges. All four corners are in good condition with normal wear and tear but no noticeable damage. The inner gold gilt liner is in overall good condition with a slight chip near one of the edges. Antique Walnut Deep Well 8.75"x10.75" Picture Frame Lemon Gold Liner
Up for auction is an antique deep well walnut Victorian picture frame recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is found in good used condition and features a lemon gold colored inner liner. The liner does have some minor discoloration on the surface. There is a small crack in the frame which can be repaired. This is best seen in photo#4. There are some surface scratches as well, shown in photo#3. It has a hanger on the back, which shows age, but I cannot say if it is original or not. This antique frame will accommodate a picture or photo which measures approximately 8 3/4" x 10 3.4" in size. LARGE ANTIQUE DEEP WALNUT FRAME WITH ANTIQUE PRINT Walnut frame and antique print are both circa 1860– 1880’s. The print– a pensive woman at her writing desk. With her dog near her, pulling the feathers off of the woman’s bonnet– very sweet! The dog looks like a King Charles spaniel. Antique print is in good condition–black and white with good detail to the engraving. There is a small margin(about 1/2 inch at the bottom of the print with some faded printing– one side has the artist who painted the scene(Hartwich) and the other side looks like the publisher– I can make out the word BerlinLouisenstr– printing is very light. Framed in an early Victorian walnut frame with original Victorian gold tone liner and ebonized accents- both in good original condition– maybe just a few very minor discolorations on the gold tone liner and some“use” marks ... moreon the walnut– see my pictures. The outer corners of the frame are tight– no wiggle. No spaces. Frame has glass and an old stretcher backing behind the print to protect it– see photos of side and back of print. This Adirondack-style picture frame is a true antique and is appropriate for pictures from 1850 to 1899. The pictures you see are not included. As they are personal family photos. They are shown to give you a good idea of what your photo would look like in the frame. The frame is sound. Not wobbly. The inside measurement for the glass(not included but easy to get at the glass shop) is 12" x 10" The frame is medium toned walnut with leaf corners. Beautiful Victorian Ornate Wide Gesso Gold Gilt Walnut Fine Art Picture Frame
Great size antique ornate picture frame. Measures 21 1/4 inches wide and 19 3/4 inches tall, with picture opening of 14x12. Frame is about 4 1/2 inches wide and about 1 3/4 inches deep. I don't see any significant areas of gesso loss. But there are a few areas of paint loss/chips, as shown in the photos. SEE PHOTOS! Also look closely at the back side of the frame. You can see some scratches in the very dark wood, further showing how old the frame is. Also, this frame is very well made with extra wood pieces across each corner joint, which are submerged into the frame so it is flat. Up for auction is an antique Victorian era deep well walnut frame with black and lemon gold liners recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. There are losses and damage to the lemon gold liner as well as surface scratches on each side. So some repairs will be warranted. The old original eye hooks still remain but no wire nor the original glass or mirror. It fits an 8x10 piece of either or canvas. At some point this has been reglued- typical as glue from that era does not usually make it into this age. The whole piece overall is 12" x 14" x 2" from wall, heavy wood, still sturdy.
