Set of 3 Vintage Convex Victorian Italy Fabric Silk Picture Ornate Brass Frames
Today they brought in this: Set of 3 vintage victorian convex fabric pictures in ornate metal frames The larger of the two of the woman and child measures 6"x 4" and the 2 smaller ones have images of victorian looking women and measure 3-1/2"x 2-1/2" They are fabric and do not have glass over them. The frames are unusual as the tops are turned up. The larger one does have a small pale line in the fabric. Looks to be a flaw in the silk, I think it could easily be retouched. the smaller two have their backs taped on. Which isn't noticable from the front. In this auction. You are bidding on a beautiful ornate miniature oval brass picture frame with a decorative filigree top and a wire easel back. Featured under the glass is a rectangular photograph lovely young woman in late 1800s or early 1900s clothing and hairstyle. There is a handwritten label on the back which reads"My mother at 18- Mary Ellen Palmer Lind. Wire easel on the back is not original and there is a brass tab missing. Outside edge of frame measures about 2&5/8" wide by 4&3/8" long, including the ornate decoration at the top. Nice Ornate NB & IW Antique Brass Victorian 4x6 Table Dresser Top Picture Frame
This is a beautiful antique National Brass& Iron Works(NB&IW) marked picture frame. Numbered 2172, that holds a picture measuring 4" x 6" It is a heavy cast iron with an excellent polished brass finish that has a slightly darkened, aged patina, with a little loss of finish on the back side, mainly on the hinged stand. There is a replacement piece of glass and corrugated cardboard held snugly in place by three clasps that turn 360 degrees so a picture can be easily added. Outer dimensions of the frame are 8" L x 4 1/2" W(with the stand swung outward) x 12" H.

Beautiful little ornate brass picture frame. No maker on the piece. In great condition but will need a little clean up as it has been in storage unused for some time. The frame has a green fabric mat that shows behind the brass decoration. Has easel back and sits horizontally. When sitting vertically. It is a bit uneven and doesn't sit flat on a table. Its possible that the easel might just need to be bent a little to get it to sit flush, but I will leave that to the new owner as I don't want to break it. Measurements are taken as the frame would appear horizontally. Measures 4 3/4" wide, 4" tall. Glass is 2 1/2" wide, 1 5/8" tall. Shipping is $3.85. Ornate Victorian Cast Brass Easel Mirror 1860's With Fox Roses Pin Dish Birds
I am selling a 40 year collection of antiques. All items are guaranteed antique and are as described. Please check my other auctions for more fine antiques. The auction is for a beautiful brass dressing table mirror that dates to the 1860s and is in amazing original condition. The deeply beveled mirror is original and has only minimal aging to the silvering which would be expected in a mirror of this age. The original brass backing is still in place as pictured in photo 9 this is probably the reason the mirror is still in nice condition. The mirror frame and harp are amazing in their detail and the castings include a Fox at the top of the mirror. Two birds in flight, a birds nest with eggs and two bumble bees, the entire mirror and frame are encircled with many roses and vines and rose leaves. There is a heart shaped pin tray that is cast ... moreinto the base of the mirror frame pictured in photo 8. The mirror measures 13 1/4 inches tall 10 inches wide at footed base it is 9 3/4 inches wide from bird to bird at each side of the mirror bracket and is quite petite in appearance. The beveled mirror measures 6 3/4 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide. There are no breaks, dents, chips or repairs to the mirror frame and only a few small tarished areas to the beveled mirror. Vintage metal frame in a Victorian style which is beautiful in design. The frame is gilded with some fading of the gild which doesn't take away from its beauty in an oval shape. Classical design with curves and intricate works which artists of the highest order can produce. The frame has a leg that holds the piece up to be placed on a table. There is a number on the back of the piece which is 0893c as far as can be deciphered. There is no damage on the metal. There is one clip on the back which is missing. The frame looks to be solid brass and the detail on too is either copper or bronze. The mirror shows its age with some fogging and dark spots on the glass, which is typical only for the very old mirrors. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Brass Picture Frame, Very Ornate, 8.5" x 11.5"
Shown is a beautiful antique Victorian picture frame that is very ornate. And quite heavy. It has a swing arm stand on the back that is also made of brass. There is a number, 179, embossed on the top of the back, but I don't know where this was made. This piece is in great shape,just patina from age throughout. It has no glass. Here's a beautiful Victorian castle frame with doors that open. It's in perfect condition with a great patina that shows it's age. No markings on the piece. So I don't know the exact age, or place of manufacture. It's rare- I've not seen another one. Size is 8" x 11" with an opening of 3.5" x 4.75" I bought it from an antique dealer that told me it was Victorian. I payed much more than the starting price.
