We have for sale a Pair of Matching Antique Vintage Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames. First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. CHOICE OF BEAUTIFUL DEEP WALNUT VICTORIAN EASTLAKE PICTURE FRAMES w/ INSET OVAL
This listing is for your choice of one fine 19th century deep walnut picture frame- both of which hold vintage needlepoint(one petit point) And both of which are outstanding! As you'll see in the photos. They are similar in design and surprisingly similar in size. The walnut and Eastlake ebonized pattern of each frame remains in excellent original condition with just a couple spots of wear. I won't bore you by describing the detail that you can quickly see in the photo. But to make your choice easier, I'll deal with their specifics individually. 1) Smaller" frame with burgundy floral needlepoint. Measures just about 13 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches(widest outside measurement) and the oval opening is 9 x 7 inches. Although this frame appears significantly smaller in the photos. Given the shape of its sides(which flare outward) there's ... moreless than 1 inch difference between their sizes. Near perfect condition with some looseness in the joints that has occurred in its last 10 years hanging on my diningroom wall. Retains original glass& beveled-edge backing board. I've owned this frame for about 30 years. Having originally bought it to hold a 19th century family photo. However, the needlepoint was so pretty that I left it intact so have never removed its backing. 2) Larger" frame with needlepoint bird or distlefink. Measures just about 14 x 12 inches(outside measurement) and the oval opening is 7 3/4 inches by 9 1/2 inches. Excellent condition. Totally tight at the joints, but the original gold leaf oval has been gone over at some time- perhaps to brighten it. This top coating does rub off(I did it partially) with a soft cloth and window cleaner. Retains original glass but is paper backed and written on the back is"Petit Point by Pat Bartler 1954" While I also purchased this frame a long time ago. Deep Walnut Wood Eastlake Victorian Picture Frame with Crewel Embroidery
There is no reserve on this antique Eastlake Victorian deep walnut wood picture frame. It is shadow box style. It measures 13 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches and is 3 inches deep. The opening for a picture is 10 x 12 inches. I think it has a wood backing but the back is covered with the needle work material and I do not want to take it apart. There is a hanger and it has glass over the framed crewel basket of violets. It has a gold colored wood liner outlined with a black wood liner. The frame has minimal age wear but still is in excellent condition for about 100 years of use. Buyer pays $13.00 shipping.

The frame itself measures 12" x 14" And the opening for the photo is 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" The frame itself is about 2-1/4" deep, with a total of 2-3/4" deep with the molding on the back to hold the photo. From my non-smoking home. Beautiful Civil War era or later Deep Walnut Frames with unusual deep. Thick(and unpatterned) gilded liner. Lovely old patina and in solid shape. This walnut frame pair is not your typical deep walnut frame. And instead of straight molding, is more swirl carved and is embellished with tiny carved out flowers. The frame with the rose and pansies has old glass with a few small bubbles. I think the fuchsias and violets has one bubble in the glass. But it is tiny. The wool needlepoint panels are both in good condition with no apparent fading/staining(it's the glare on the glass.it's impossible to photograph without reflections) or moth damage. The inside of the frames(and also the size of the needlepoint) is approximately 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" The frames measure 11-1/2" x 13-1/2. And the frame itself ... moreis about 2-3/8" deep.

It is found in good used condition and comes with its original wavy glass. The frame features a nice gold interior liner surrounded by a dark walnut frame, but does show some sea and crazing of the surface. Please see the photos for details. It does not have its original backing, but does have a hanger. There are a few minor cracks in the frame itself. HUGE Wood Antique Victorian DEEP Walnut Eastlake Picture Frame 1874 Print
This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.

Although hard to see, im sure it can be cleaned up bring out the colors. 15 1/2 x 19 3/4 inside picture frame. The frame is 5 1/2 in wide. The picture inside the frame is a signed chronograph print by William henry Chandler. He was an artist who resided in North Jersey and commuted to New York daily. He was in business with his brother who was in charge of the administration side of the business. he also made some of the frames for chandlers Pieces. Please take a look at this lovely Victorian 3 Layer Deep Well Ebonized Guilded Eastlake Wood Frame from the late 1800s. This is an outstanding late 1800s brilliant gilded Victorian Aesthetic Eastlake three layer deep-well frame in nearly mint condition. The interior layer is gilded and is in very good condition with only minor discoloration or wear. The second layer is ebonized and incised decoration in a floral design. The outermost layer is wood. Probably walnut. The frame is in very good condition with only very minor wear. From the back you can see the multi-layered. Square nailed construction with the original shingle backboard. This wonderful frame measures 14-1/2” x 12-1/2” with a 9-3/4” x 7-3/4” opening. The print is Currier and Ives“American Farmyard Evening” which first came out in 1857. Large Late 19th C Antique Victorian Deep Well Eastlake Marbleized Portrait Frame
This is a large late 19th century antique deep well Victorian era Eastlake marbleized portrait frame with its original photo. I would date it circa 1880s. Overall. It measures 23 1/2 inches x 27 1/2 inches(59.7 cm x 69.9 cm) The back opening size is 18 1/2 inches x 22 1/4 inches(47 cm x 56.5 cm) The molding width is 2 3/4 inches(7 cm) It's fairly hard to find a frame this size in this style. It's all original. With no restoration. It has its original old photo. The photo has some places where it was eaten by silverfish and an approximately 1 1/2 inch(3.8 cm) tear just above the man's left shoulder. The frame has various spots with minor nicks. Light scratches and a few very small places with chipped gesso. But given the age of the frame, it's really minimal. It has its original bubbled and wavy glass. What appear to be old ... morescratches are actually just lines in the glass itself. It's a great looking piece of early glass! The frame has developed a beautiful old patina. It would be great for an old oil painting. Drawing, folk art work, sampler, fraktur, or just leaving it the way it is. It weighs 8 lbs. 4 oz. 3.74 kg) It has what I always look for in frames. Up for auction is a lovely antique gilded molded gesso Eastlake frame. American, dated to the early 1900s. The condition of this antique frame is very good. It's completely original with no restoration that I can find. There are a few nicks. But you really have to look for them. It's covered with a lovely rich, burnished gold. See the pictures for the condition. It has classical carving around the outside edge with American cove and beaded design on the inside of the frame. It's composition on a wooden frame.
