This frame once held convex glass and an old portrait. The frame is in good condition but does have a few scrapes. It still has its original nails. The hanger wire is still attached but it is broken. ANTIQUE TIGER WOOD FRAME WITH PRINT OF MORRIS AND BENDIEN "MOTHER AND SON"
This is an antique tiger wood frame 16 1/2" x 21 1/2" wide. It is 14" x 18" on the inside. The print is a Morris and Bendien" Mother and Son" Isreals is in the other corner, probably the artist. The second picture is what is written on the back of the print. There is some darker places on the print that look like tornados where dirt got inside over the years and the frame has some light scratches that I touched up with stain. The biggest spot, picture 4, which is really not all that noticeable. The last picture was taken outside so there is some shading from the trees. One dark spot and one small tear on the matt behind the print. Please look at all the pictures closely and fell free to ask questions. She is just too precious! This adorable little baby is sitting in a Victorian stroller and is framed in a tiger wood oval frame with the original convex glass. The frame measures 17 by 23 inches and the glass is 13 by 19 inches. The condition is very good. There are a couple small tears. The most prominent one being near the bottom. I have shown them in the last two pictures. They don't seem to be distracting and they certainly do not take away from this beautiful little baby. It is a beautiful countryside with a Dutch windmill and barn next to the water's edge. A sa ilboat is out in the water. The grass is tall along side th e path. It's very difficult to find one of these paintings without some flaking or damage. There is a spot in the middle of one barn that I originally thought was fog. I didn't even realize the painting was missing as you see the cardboard backing. It can be touched up or even substitu te a darker piece of paper behind it and you won't even notice it. There was really old tape on the back of the frame that I removed. The glass and backing need to be ta ped back into the faux tiger eye frame. Excellent condition. But does have some very fine scratches from polishing and age. The outer edge of black has some paint missing. See pics. Oval frame measures 23" tall. And 17' wide. Picture opening is 18 3/4" long, and 13" wide. The back of the frame has one spot about 1 inche wide where the nail tore through. It was repaired many years ago and you cannot see it from the front. The picture is of St. Teresa of Lisieux?Avila? and is in very nice condition. There are a few ripples at the top and a few nips off the edges.See pics. Inside the photo which we opened from the back we found a postcard dated 1942 from St. Paul Minn to Fairmount Minn. I will include this with the picture and the frame and documentation of its age. Vintage estate older Antique Tiger Oak Frame This is a antique Tiger Oak frame I came across several years ago at a local estate sale. This frame does not have glass. But does still have the original nails from when something was mounted in it. What makes this frame a little unusual is that it has extra wood trim at the bottom, like a molding piece at the bottom, it's also beveled on the inside, where the matting would be. The frame itself is in Good to Very Good Condition. It has the usual nicks in the wood that comes from age, but otherwise is solid; measurements are-inside 18” x 24” outside- 20” x 27” the width of the frame itself is 1 1/2" wide at the top and sides and 3" wide at the bottom. This auction is for an antique tiger wood reverse painted bubble glass picture frame measuring 23" X 17" and the inner glass itself measures 19 1/2" X 13 1/2" This is a reverse glass painting of a castle in Whales. Please look at the pictures very closely and take note that some of the paint(which is very common on these reverse paintings being well over 100 years old) in the river and on the rocks below the castle is starting to peel. Oval Wood Tiger Stripe Frame Picture Antique Curved Concave Glass Elderly Man
This is an antique oval wooden frame with bulged. Bubble, or concave glass(curving outward) with a picture depicting an elderly man with a mid-eastern look to him with his hat and mustache. He has a nice expression on his face, looking like there is much wisdom behind the eyes that have a bit of a smile in them as well as sadness. I'm guessing this is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The finish is that of a tiger stripe; as you can see from my many pictures that there are some scratches on the tiger stripe as well on the inner black frame area typical of storage/handling/age. Frame is solid with a wire hanger on the back. There are also some white marks on the glass which appear to be on the underside. The convex glass needs to be cleaned but it appears not to be scratched. Broken, or chipped. The wooden frame is tiger wood with black paint outlining the picture opening& the outer edge of the oval frame. The frame has some minor chips& scratches(understandable. Considering its age) There is about a 2.5“ crack/ split/ separation in the wood. It runs parallel to the flat back side of the frame& the best way I can describe it is that it is similar to when laminated wood layers might separate from each other. it's not the type of crack that runs straight through the thickness of the wood from the top to bottom so you only see the crack on the back of the frame. It does not affect the structure or appearance of the frame because the split in the wood doesn't run through to the front of the frame& it can easily be repaired with glue. It’s just barely visible when you view the frame from the side& back and you can’t see it at all from the front. I believe this is an original(possibly hand colored) photograph so it's a bit faded from age& there is a small tear in the photographic paper where the

Antique Victorian Tiger Wood Oval Frame with Charming Photo of Young Girl
This was a frame I acquired to put in my son's wedding pictures.many that were done in black and white with a retro look. I bought many. Many frames.and this one is left over. So charming and detailed. It is made of wood. But the tiger grain seems painted on.as I believe was the fashion. What I see as different is the design found at the top, bottom and sides. Also, this does not have the convex mirror.which frankly I like better. The size is impressive.17-1/4" tall. 14" wide. The area for the photo is 12-7/8" long and 9-7/8" wide.making a photo of at least 13" x 10" necessary. There are some areas of wear which you can probably see best in the photos.but most are long the edge. If you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me.

Antique 1" wide faux tiger stripe picture frame fits 11" x 15" gesso over wood. Rich shades of brown faux tiger stripe cover the concave surface. There is a black border on the inner edge and the entire outer edge and outside. There are missing bits of color and gesso here and there. The corners are fastened with small rounded brads which could use some tightening and/or glue.
