Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. 0005 SALE Classic Vintage Solid Wood Frame 12 x 14 Dark Frame, Probably Mahogany
Old Dark Wood Frame This piece came from a very old estate recently. It's probably mahogany. It's 12" x 14" exterior. Inside opening is 10.75" x 9" It is deep. About 2.5" and the middle inside has a black stripe giving it an even deeper look. Still has some paper on the back from previous use. It's a tiny bit loose if you try hard but it's pretty tight still. Will frame a nice old piece perfectly or maybe for a shadow box. Has wear that can be seen in the close ups. It's just a nice old frame. I'm not an expert in all things so if you have any questions please ask before you bid. Classical lady holding parchment letter This early color lithograph is dated 1902. However. There is no artist name, nor do we know the title. She is cressed in classical garb. Daydreaming. Off to her immediate left is the sea. She sits next to a stone wall. Image size is 8" x 15" The image is surrounded with a wooden fillet; The matting is archival. An ivory linen fabric. The frame is antique. A dark wood with ornamented edging. Rails are 1 1/2" wide Glass is conservation non-glare glass. Filters 99% of UV light. This is a stunning piece that came from a custom framing shop and gallery that closed.

Description This antique dark walnut criss cross picture frame measures 16" long. 14" wide and holds a 10" long, 8" wide picture. The frame has crosses at each corner decorated with white porcelain and brass tacks or buttons. There is a liner of gilded gesso around the picture. The frame is holding a black cut out silhouette of a rooster against a tan background. The frame has a replaced wood backing and also has glass over the silhouette which is probably not original to the frame. The piece is in very nice condition with no major losses on the wood and no damage to the porcelain buttons. The gilding has dark spots but is original. Vintage Ornate Dark Antiqued Frame& Print"La Cage" by Nicolas Lancret This is an amazing frame. Extremely intricate and ornate with curved plumes and many levels of work. The print is old. I did take the back off to clean the glass and I should have taken a picture of the print information. It said the title is"La Cage" and the original is hung in The Louvre in Paris. This print was done in Italy, I don't remember the date, not new though. This is a portion of the size of the original. When I purchased this it had gre en felt glued to the back. You can still see the remnants in my photos. Removing the felt revealed that some if not all of the frame is not wood. I don't know if this was a foam type polymer added to an antique frame back to stabilize it or if this is what the entire frame is made of. It's ... moreas hard and heavy as it should be. From the front it looks like a 200+ year old frame. But I really have no idea of its age or composition. It looks fabulous hanging in my foyer! The frame is 16.5 wide. By 19" long, by 3.5" deep. Beautiful Dark Wood Carved 15 x 19 Picture Frame - Never Used - Antique?
This beautiful dark wood carved picture frame has never been used. It measures 21 x 25 with the opening being 15 x 19. It has never been used. You will notice on the photos that the frame has two different carved designs on it. I'm not sure of its age. So I don't know if it is an antique or not. The very inside edge is covered in gold. It would make a beautiful frame for that special painting or photograph. A real find!
