The Psalm of Communal Lament" We are very please to be able to ... moreoffer for your consideration this professionally tab mounted and framed 17th Century vellum of Psalm 44 The calligraphy on this vellum is hand penned. Our expert tells us it was most likely taken from a privately owned, and or, commissioned book of Psalms. We believe this because it is without illumination, and markings for musical notations. It is beautifully mounted on a fabric back board with corner tab mounts. The vellum is scribed in Latin, on both sides, or recto inverso. Shadows of the letters on the reverse side can be faintly seen through the text of the front. From the look of the font style, the peculiar punctuation, and the vellum used, our expert dates it to the 17th century. The passage is a portion of Psalm 44, or the Psalm of Communal Lament. According to our Latin translator it is verses 9 through 13. In these verses, the Psalmist laments that God has been slow to act, and has a responsibility to save these people from their enemies. The frame measures 23 1/8 inches wide. By 30 1/2 inches tall, by 1 5/8 inches deep. The frame is nice and deep, providing adequate space to accommodate the ripples in the vellum. The frame is finished in a dark brown stain, and is distressed. The back is covered in heavy brown paper with sealed edges. This piece weighs approximately 8 pounds. Condition- This framed antique framed vellum is in wonderful condition. There are no visible flaws that we can see. Large antique faux grained picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame fits an approx 24 1/8 x 29 5/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 29 1/2 x 35 inches and it is 3/4 inches high. The frame is in very good condition. But still has a few dings and scratches as typically seen on frames of this age. The finish on it is original, the shiny lustre seen in the photos is a fresh coat of linseed oil, not polyurethane. The frame is being shipped without glass.

Large faux grained antique picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame has an ornate gold liner(liner and frame are all in one piece) The frame fits an approx 21 1/8 x 30 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 25 3/8 x 34 3/8 inches and it is 3/4 inches thick. The frame has been restored. But there is an area of missing faux graining in the center of the bottom of the frame as shown on the 2nd photo. Frame is a cream color with beige accents in the rounded scalloped corners. A great frame to show off a special piece as opposed to the standard square or darker frames. Print is held in with nails and has wire for hanging. Backing has been taken off to check print. And taped back on. Picture shows exposed frame material which seems chalky. Print is signed"W.R. alps" in lower right corner. Frame is possibly plaster? gesso? from what the back looks like, but front of frame is a smooth paint type finish with raised decoration in the corners. Here is a HUGE vintage. Almost antique hand-carved Italian picture frame. It appears to be balsawood, or some other lightweight wood, measures 36 1/4 x 46 1/4 ins. in total, and the inner rabbet size is 30 1/4 x 40 1/4 ins. The molding is about 4 ins. wide. The frame is carved in the traditional Italian Florentine style, and this type of frame is used in art museums around the world. The frame is in fair as is condition with scuffs to the finish, wear from handling through the decades, some minor wood chip/breaks at some corners, miter separations on the corner ares. All of this is typical with old frames, and it is amusing that new repro frames like to add that' distressed' look to their'antique( not) frames. The frame is more beautiful than my photographs. The gilded color is very rich, the carving deep and detailed. On the ... moreback is stamped in a few spots, Made in Italy man made. Gorgeous and elegant antique wood& plaster gold gesso frame. Leaf and flower design. Heavy SOLID frame. This frame used to display an antique oil painting from a very well listed German artist that was sold. I was not able to ship the frame abroad because it was too expensive for the buyer. The frame has some dings on it and some small cracks. It also has some small chips in the plaster. The frame shows very well and is in nice overall condition. It could use a cleaning. Little dusty. Please see pictures for more details. The gold color is still pretty bold which either tells me it has been very well kept or it was possibly re painted somewhere along the line. Antique Early 20th Century Gold Gilt Portrait Frame 25 X 30 Opening
This is a very cool looking antique early 20th century gold gilt portrait frame. I would date it somewhere from the teens to the 1920s. Overall. It measures 29 1/2 inches x 34 3/8 inches(75 cm x 87.3 cm) The back opening size is 25 1/4 inches x 30 1/8 inches inches(64.1 cm x 76.5 cm) The molding measures 2 3/8 inches wide(6 cm) I'll start by saying that the color of this frame is actually a nicer. Richer, more golden color than the photos are showing. They are tending to be a little shinier than the actual frame. You'll be very pleasantly surprised when you see it. You can see the lines from the gold gilding throughout the frame. Over the years. It has worn off in areas, and the red bole comes through. As you can see in the photos. There are a lot of marks on the frame. I believe this was intentionally done when the frame was made, ... morebecause they're all over the entire frame. Personally, I think they look great. This frame must've been made by a very skilled FrameMaker. The corners are held together with splining inside(please see photo) On the back. There is some light writing that says#9266– C, I believe. There is some other light writing but I can't quite make it out. There is no glass. It weighs 6 lbs. 8 oz. 2.95 kg) I think you'll be very impressed with this frame and its great patina. It has what I always look for in frames. That wonderful old world look!

Vintage gold tone frame with a dainty floral accent at top and ornate design around edges/sides. The 1920's-30's sepia tone. Colorized photograph of a woman in her lace and silk dress with long length pearls. Estate find in FL. Glass intact. Can sit on table or has circular hook on back for hanging. There is what looks to be paint down one edge of frame. I scratched across with my nail and some did come off. Age spots to burgundy back. One area on the edge of photo is worn/discolored, which you can only see when photo is removed from frame. The total length is approx. 10" and width is little over 8" The picture opening is approx. 9.50" in length x 7.50" in width. Pretty frame with a wonderful old photograph. Good overall condition. This is a HUGE picture frame or mirror frame! Shabby charm! There are a few nicks here and there. With the worse thing being a piece broken off at the very bottom. View pictures 3 and 5. The very top of the carving has broken off somehow. I'm not sure you would notice this as much if a picture or mirror were mounted, though. This is fabulous and I hate to part with it, but it is too large for my bathroom. I was planning on using it as my main mirror, but it won't work. It is 30 1/2" wide by 48" tall. Vintage HUGE MODERNISM Mid-Century Gold Heavy Pine Wood Frame 26 x 30 c.1940s
Here is a very large. Heavy custom/hand-made pine picture frame. It measures 33 x 36 ins. in total and 26 x 30 ins. insert rabbet size. This is painted gold( not gilded) with an old original red paint or bole undercoat. This frame used to house a late 1940s oil portrait. So I would date this to the same time period to very early 1950s time period. The frame has multiple pieces of wood nailed and glued together. And at the top right corner someone nailed some more in to secure it at some point in time.That has caused a surface crack in the wood from the top right corner and the downward piece of wood about 4 x 7 ins. That can be re-glued and fixed if it bothers you. Shown below. It is very sturdy. Heavy and solid. The molding is 4 1/2 ins. wide. The frame has some minor gouges, scrapes, nicks, etc. all from age and handling.Please know this ... moreis a VINTAGE frame, so perfectionists will have to look for a new one and let the vintage lovers appreciate this one. Up for auction is this antique vintage- approximately 1920's to 30's- gold gilded art picture frame. This is being offered"as is as found" it is in very good antique condition- it is very sturdy- all four corners are tight- no separation. It is not painted over though there is a bit of wear to the gilding along the raised edges. The sides and on the corners- see photos. Really does not detract but adds a distressed elegant charm. The frame measures 14 3/4 inches by 11 3/4 inches on the outside. The inside measurements are 12 1/4 inches by 9 1/8 inches and the moulding is 1 1/2 inches.
