Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. I purchased it at an antique estate auction in the rural mountains of Pennsylvania. Where lumber barons built mansions full of fine furnishings over a century ago. We were told by the aucitoneer that an area man used to carve frames like this. So I'm going to guess it to be from early in the 20th Century, but it could be about any age, I suppose. The frame is what they call Tramp Art. Over a 100 years old, hand made folk art. It's a really neat frame and definitely is old. All wood with inner Gold trim. It's in really good shape. The front has very little wear/tear, it looks like there was an additional leaf on the other top left corner, but not positive, It's solid and complete. The inside trim is gold and shows some wear. The back has no wire, Will need to be replaced. It has just about all it's nails on the back to hold the picture, very rustic backing with one split and a crack so the back piece will also would need proper repairing, there is one chunk out of the back left corner of the ... moreframe(see picture) still has the eye loops for wire, no glass.this is a great piece for collectors. A nice antique picture frame. It is in good used condition with normal wear from age and use. It is approx. 17-3/4" x 13-3/4" and the picture area is 16" x 12" the frame is made of wood and it has a metal scroll type center piece on the top. There is an old print of a beautiful garden with a mountain in the background, it is signed in the left hand corner but I cannot make out the name, it still has the glass front and is in good condition as well. It will need a cleaning and sprucing up since it has been packed away ad a bit dusty etc, I'm guessing that it is from the early 1900's. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. This auction is for an antique tiger wood reverse painted bubble glass picture frame measuring 23" X 17" and the inner glass itself measures 19 1/2" X 13 1/2" This is a reverse glass painting of a castle in Whales. Please look at the pictures very closely and take note that some of the paint(which is very common on these reverse paintings being well over 100 years old) in the river and on the rocks below the castle is starting to peel. This is a Nice Antique Wood Picture Frame. Opening for picture is 17.75"x21.75" It is over 1" thick. Quite heavy and has a 1/4" depth(rabbet) It is solid. But inside wood liner has chips, and could be tightened up. Doesn't include glass. You neighborhood hardware might cut a piece for a few dollars. Have a Great Week! We are downsizing. ANTIQUE WALNUT FRAME 17+ X 21+ & ANTIQUE PRINT MAN ON HORSE BACK IN COLD & WIND
VICTORIAN WALNUT FRAME WITH ORIGINAL GOLD LINER. Circa 1880’s– 1890’s, with an ANTIQUE PRINT from the same time, around 1880’s. Scene is a man on a horse with a dog in the foreground. The print is a cold scene. With what feels like the wind blowing. The print is dark– my camera glare makes it look a little brighter than it is. The print has a thin fabric backing. Made to look like a painting in the frame. There is tape around the back outside edges of the print to reinforce– see photo of back. The print has some“crackle” on it marked with red arrows. The crackle is on the left side near the edge. Lighter area in the center may be a discoloration on the print or may be original to the scene. Outer measurements of the frame are 17 ¼ inches by 21 ¼ inches. Opening for the glass is 14 inches by 18 inches. The frame is over 1 inch deep ... morefrom the side. Pretty good finish on the dark walnut. In good condition. Original gold tone liner in the frame. Good, with only a few slight discoloration spots, visible close-up. Frame and contents weigh just less than 5 pounds. Including the print, the glass, and the old cardboard backing. Corners of the frame are tight with no wiggle. ALL SALES FINAL. I am selling items that are over a hundred years old. Naturally there will be irregularities and flaws in the wood. Just because of the age. Very nice antique Victorian gilt frame with convex/bubble glass measures 11" x 17" Opening measures 9" x 15" Frame in very good condition with a few small chips, slight wear to gilt on innermost edge, film on backside of glass needs cleaning. Frame has many little speckles esp. around outside edges of frame which may be intentional(not dirt) or part of the gilt aging. Beautiful frame probably dates to around 1900 or so. Convex glass in great condition with no damage. Victorian frame comes with antique photo portrait of a jolly gentleman.

Large 17.5" dia. Antique Ornate Wood Gesso Round Frame w/ Domed Curved Glass
Large Antique Ornate Wood Gesso Round Frame with Domed- Curved Hand Blown Glass. The carved wood and intricately sculpted gesso has age related fractures all over it but is structurally sound. The hand blown convex-curved glass has some teeny tiny bubbles in it under the lupe inspection with NO cracks or damages. The large frame has a 24 1/4" wide diameter with a 17 1/2" face diameter. The frame comes with an old colored lithograph print and the hanging chain looks original with the frame. I have tried to take different pictures at multiple angles. So please use all the pictures as a major part of its description. The old frame is very decorative as is or gets even better with a professional restoration with gilding.
