A set of 3 feather art birds with painted trees. Leaves& background The 3 carved wooden frames match. As does the painted background These are quite elaborate birds with long tail feathers. A crested head, a variety of feather types& colors. The background has green/yellow leaves with pink& white and blue& white flowers along a tree branch. The beaks& feet are also painted. They measure nearly 5 1/2 x 8 inches The backs have the original paper tape& are stamped Hecho En Mexico. Here& there are sections where the paper tape split at the inside edge of the frame. Antique Inlay Inlaid Handcarved Folk Art Primitive Wood Picture Frame
This is an incredible antique inlay. Inlaid handcarved folk art primitive wood picture frame. The original finish has not been touched. It is probably from the 1930s. I believe the wood is pine with a couple of other woods mixed in. Since the frame was probably near heat. It has developed one of the best crackling finishes I've ever seen. Because the photo is an African-American man. I believe he or a family member or friend made it. Large Antique TRAMP ART Frame - Collectible Folk Art Primitive
Large Antique TRAMP ART FRAME This is an original piece of tramp art dating from the 1850-1899 time period. It has up to four levels of carved layering and is a very sturdy item. The frame itself measures approximately 5-3/4 pounds. It has a nice surface color which is a very old salmon over blue. Note that the close up photos appear to have a little more orange color or salmon color due to the camera flash. The o verall size is 28-1/2 inches by 24-1/4 inches. Antique/Vintage 1800's Hand Carved Tramp Art Frame. Great Condition, 17" x 13" Up for sale is an antique Folk art/Tramp art picture frame with an old picture in it. The frame is what they call Tramp Art. Over a 100 years old, hand made folk art. It's a really neat frame and definitely is old. All wood with inner Gold trim. It's in really good shape. The front has very little wear/tear, it looks like there was an additional leaf on the other top left corner, but not positive, It's solid and complete. The inside trim is gold and shows some wear. The back has no wire, Will need to be replaced. It has just about all it's nails on the back to hold the picture, very rustic backing with one split and a crack so the back piece will also would need proper repairing, there is one chunk out of the back left corner of the ... moreframe(see picture) still has the eye loops for wire, no glass.this is a great piece for collectors. The picture is an old print of the residence of Alvin Buck Esq. Co.unfortunately someone wrote $2.00 on it. I am not sure when, this frame came from a friend who has had it for many years, but the frame is the most collectible. The actual opening for the picture measures approx. 14 1/2" long x 11" tall The outside dimensions are: 17" long x 13" tall from side to side. Antique Miter Joint Dowel Construction Folk Art Primitive Gold Gild Frame
An interesting and intricate antique primitive frame with carving and gold gilt. It measures approximately 22 3/4" wide x 26 3/4" long on the exterior. The interior measures approximately 16" x 20" including the interior lip where your photo or painting sits. It is miter joined and reinforced with dowel construction(see last 2 photos. This has some age to it and some repairs. Additionally. I notice 2 small holes on either side where one might have screwed or nailed the frame to a wall to keep it safe! What a life this piece must have seen! Someone along the way reinforced the back with L brackets too(see photo) All in all. I think it is a very funky and natural antique piece with stories to tell and another life waiting around the corner. I like it just the way it is- it is folk art all by itself.

This no-reserve auction is for a beautiful. Very old, oval embroidered picture. The wood frame is quite nice- it has that buttery, old wood feel and very good beveling on its edge. It appears to be hand-made of six parts that are dovetailed together perfectly and beautifully. It frames a piece of Victorian beadwork that is lovely as well. The back wood cover for this piece has been taped-not sure why, but I do not wish to venture to take it apart. Always bad luck for me! However, the frame is quite sturdy and well-built.
