This piece is hallmarked with the passant lion for 925/1000 sterling silver. The anchor mark for Birmingham England, and the date letter mark of a lower case( i) for the year 1908. The condition is as follows. The silver has some dings and dents especially around the central ring, the top cartouch is pushed in, the velvet on the front has some white polish dust. This piece would have originally had a filler backing to strengthen the sterling and this is a bit broke up now inside.Measures about 6 x 5 3/4 inches, the circular is 3 inches in diameter and there is no glass. Old/ vintage dark oak picture frame with glass that was in the frame when I bought it. It is 9 5/8" across 11 5/8" tall the molding is 1 1/2" wide and it would fit a picture 7 1/16" by 9 1/16" The frame shows some wear from use. A few bumps and scuffs, and a corner bump, and the wood is dry, it could use some oil or a polish.

Antique Arts& Crafts era picture frame doesn't have a single nail in it! It is all interlocked together. Will accommodate anything 8.5 x 11 inches. Total size of frame is approximately 14 x 17.5 inches. There are a few issues concerning a couple of the points on the outside pieces. Judging by the patina of the wood where they had broken off I'd say the oops happened a very long time ago. It in no way deters from the beauty of this frame. We are pleased to offer this antique to older vintage. Hand crafted, solid wood, collage picture frame. This grand and heavy frame features thick oak construction(no veneer) with an overall rectangular design. The frame has 12 large carved individual frames inside the outer frame which are set in 4 vertical rows of 3 horizontal frames. Each frame has an oval opening and, because of the thickness of the wood, the picture sits very recessed inside the opening. There is a beautiful, arts and crafts style carving, burned or incised pattern that surrounds each individual opening and makes each one seem independent of the other. There is a scalloped border around each oval opening. Inside the scalloped design are very petite flowers. The frame is further divided with straight line incisions. This frame is in good sturdy condition and comes with glass and print. The print does have some water damage and I tried to capture this in the pictures above. Tin and Tile Picture Frame, Distressed, Modern, Mission/Arts and Crafts Style
For your consideration. A really cool picture frame. Frame is all tin(metal) with tiles inlaid as a border. The tiles are blue and white Talavera style. I believe this to be a modern(in the last 30 years) picture frame that was produced and distressed to look old. There are no markings. It is in the Mission style but would fit an Arts and Crafts setting as well. View the pictures thoroughly and draw your own conclusion as to the age.I might be wrong in my assessment. I FOUND THE FOLLOWING INFO ON THE WEB. DRGM German patent mark(meaning Deutsches Reich Geschmacksmuster(or Gebrauchmuster? that appears with or without a registration number. It seems to have been introduced around 1900 and was used on both domestic and industrial designs as well as jewellery. Officially it was withdrawn in 1945 but also appears on some items of a later date. DRGM This is a rare example of the use of both design registration marks. Found under a good folding letter rack made from sheet brass.

I picked up the 2 frames a auction last spring I have researched and researched these unique frames what I can gather is they were made for tin type pictures which makes them pretty old.They are primitive and rustic I am not sure of type of wood used one is a darker wood and the other is a lighter shade of wood very different and neat.frames There are hinges on the back of the frame and are rusty but function fine open and close the material or cloth used dirty the frame could be cleaned which I will leave up to the new owners they are has found. Vintage Italian Arts & Crafts era Leather Picture Frame / Portfolio - Large
Offered- An Italian Full Leather Folding(Portfolio Style) Picture Frame. I would date this frame to the Arts& Crafts era- 1910/1920. The frame is beautifully embossed in shades of Mahogany/Brown with Gilt trim around the edges. This is a large frame- measuring 13 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches when closed. It would accomodate a 13 by 11 inch photo. The interior is covered in a Gold Silk Moire- The right side is framed in leather with an old-style plastic sheet that the photo would fit under. The interior right lower corner is marked"Made in Italy" however it is very faint and I was unable to get a good photo. Or the terms, so I will simply explain this frame in my own words.The color is Outstanding deep and glorious, aged from the slow passing of time that has only added to its distinct character. The color has taken a century to perfect, a glorious patina, in the full sunlight it is a rich burnt honey, And indoors with a bit indirect lighting it takes on a glowing sorrel/ honey brown, illuminating it to it's fullest potential, the old dings and knick's have darkened adding a character unto itself. It is beautifully trimmed in black all around outside and around inside as well. There is NO warping, frame will lay perfectly flat. Nice antique Arts& Crafts Mission Oak picture frame with portrait. The frame has a glass front that is free of damage. It may need a quick spray of Windex from the inside. The oak is all in great shape considering the age of this piece. Very minor bumps here and there. Nothing unexpected, and could probably be buffed out if you thought it was needed. This piece may be a great piece to put your own photo in! The frame itself measures 22" X 26. The inside of the frame measures roughly 15.5" X 19.5.
