It is a great table dating from the 1870s to 1880s. I am confident that it has had an overcoat applied at some point in its past, but it has a warm mellow touch to the medium walnut stain finish. The table consists of walnut and mahogany. It is all hand carved with the floral arrangements on the serpentine skirts and cabriole style legs. The four legs are joined together with cross stretchers in the center with a huge center finial that is an open cup. The overall size is 36 inches long, 26 inches deep and 30 inches high. The overall condition is good and tight. There are a couple of minute chips on the marble that we will detail out prior to shipping.

First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. The frame contains a beautiful antique print of a woman seated at a desk. Writing a letter. It looks like a watercolor. And could be, but I am selling it as a mezzotint, a hand-colored print. It is from the same time period as the frame. And is probably original to the frame. The print is in good condition with no stains. No tears, no wrinkles. Old glass and old wood backing. Both probably original to the frame. A charming scene– the woman is pensive. Looks as though she is writing a very important letter, with a quill pen. Made of a honey colored French walnut or maybe mahogany– finish is original and in good condition. Gesso carving around the outside front edges. Good condition– no parts missing. The frame is firm– corners are tight– no wiggle. Frame measures 13 ½ inches by 17 ½ inches from the outside. With an opening for the glass and needlepoint of APPROXIMATELY 12 inches by 16 inches. paper backing makes it impossible to measure exactly. From the front the visible size is 11 ½ inches by 15 ½ inches. No fading. No staining, no holes in the needlepoint– probably wool with soft colors- the blue sky, the floral pasture, the cottage in the background. Here is a beautiful old antique walnut picture frame. Made in the Adirondack style with carved bark molding, and inner gilt with striped tiger gilt gesso. The entire frame measures 20 1/2 x 26 1/2 ins. while the insert rabbet size is 16 1/8 x 22 1/8 ins. The molding is about 3 ins. wide, and it has a deep cove appearance. The frame is in fair as is condition with a piece of gesso chipped at inner right bottom side, could be touched up with gold paint or left as is. The frame has some mild surface scrapes/scratches common with age. It is a tad wobbly, you would probably consider re-gluing the miter joints for stability.This frame can be used vertically or horizontally. I would date this frame to the 1870-80s time period. Applied carved walnut leaves on each corner– original to the frame. Top carving on each side is done to look like pieces of wood– like pieces of a tree. Contains an old print– an illustration from a book on flowers and plants. This one has SNOWDROPS– an early spring late winter plant that appears when the snow starts to melt. Outer measurements of the frame are 11 ¼ inches by 13 ¼ inches. Has glass and old cardboard backing. Frame molding is just less than 2 inches deep from the side. Antique Walnut Bark Carved Frame Prang QUAIL Chromo Print by A.J. TAIT c1866
Here is a very nice antique. Circa 1860s walnut picture frame with an original Prang chromolithograph of a quail family.It is signed in the print A.F. Tait N4 1866(http:www.askart.com/askart/artist.aspx?artist=21374) at the bottom right. He was a famous listed artist who traveled around the Adirondack area and painted nature scenes and wildlife. Hunting scenes, etc. On the back is an old Prangs Chromo sticker that lists all the chromolithographs they had for sale. It is very worn away, pretty much unreadable. Looks like the chromo got damp at some point, and it is bowed upwards in the center. The entire piece measures 15 3/4 x 19 3/4 ins. while the insert rabbet size is 10 1/2 x 14 1/4 ins. approx. The frame is solid, has only some minor nicks to the wood, corner edge nicks wear, one chipped' faux bark' piece at side left. Still very ... moresolid and original finish. Looks like stamped into the wood stencil designs. I would consider the print to be in only fair as is condition. The frame in fair/good condition. Original Art Deco Vanity Dresser Mirror Frame circa 1920s Frame is of a walnut finish wood with carved finial and has an applied carved decoration. a Sunflower surrounded by fanciful tiny flowers and leaves accented in Dark Green. Deep Brown and Gold. There is an old brass screw fitting on each side for fitting to a dresser stand. I imagine. A lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period piece. Condition: The frame is structurally sound… it has shallow scrapes. Scratches and old wall paint marks, signs of usage over the years. There is a small chip out of the finial decorative work( about 1” or ½“ each) and that applied section is a bit loose, could easily be repaired with wood glue. There is an old string used for hanging which should be replaced by a hanger wire. Please check pictures to see the flaws. NOTE: Frame only. No mirror. A ... morelarge frame. 19th century three-level. Ebonized walnut. Carved, Eastlake frame with original Miller Family photograph dated 1823 with glass. Outer level is ebonized deep-well walnut. Middle inner level is painted burl wood finish with incised corners. Bottom level is stenciled silver leaf. Circa mid19th century Overall. Frame measures 20.5" high x 16.5" wide x 3" deep. The back opening size is 16.5" x 12" Three-level molding is 3" wide. Some scuffs and a small spot of finish loss outer walnut. Middle, right side. The stenciled silver leaf has small spot of finish loss upper left. Frame has its original wood back; looks like it's never been opened. Weighs 5 lbs.
