Then each corner has an added ornate overlay with acanthus leaves and flowers. This would be wonderful to add a mirror and hang it or use it as a vanity mirror. antique bronze over white metal cupid frame PRICE CUT
Very unusual and unique this round mirror/picture frame. I think it is cast white metal with bronze plating and possibly silver plating. It looks different in different light. Bronze is more visible on the back side. The claws that holds the contents are held in place with a small peg and a screw. I think the screws may need replacing. Otherwise it is in fantastic conditions.No breaks or cracks. There is a triangular hanger on the back as well as old twisted wire used to support it's weight. There is a gold number 19 on back near the top. Visible in 4th photo. The repousse design is a repeat of a pair of cupids and flowers. It is repeated 4 times seperated by pairs of back to back scrolls. The edgeing is rounded tooth with a raised dot in center of each tooth. Measurements: outside is 11 1/2" on front side and 11 3/4" on back ... moreside. These are diameters and the difference in measurement is due to the dome shape of the frame. Height at inside edge is 3/4" The opening is 7 1/2" diameter. Age I believe to be between 1890 and 1920. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds. Antique Nouveau,Deco Style 1940/50's Frame,Shiny Chrome/White Tile w/blue doves
A fantastically detailed. One of a kind chromed out frame that can be used for a mirror, print or painting.This frame was made in the 1940's- 50's. The artist hand picked the materials, hand cut the metal and painted blue dove birds on the ceramic tile that skips around the entire frame. He did a very nice weld job and when he was cutting little slits along and around the entire frame, he added what appears to be some small animal huff prints on each corner. There are 4 huff prints on each corner) The total frame size is 37-1/2" x 27-1/2" and there are metal clips welded along the inside to hold the painting or mirror in place. These can be seen in some of the pictures of the back of the frame. It will fit a painting or mirror that is 27-1/2" x 18" in size. The frame has some oxidation marks and scuffs due to its ... moreage but it that does not take away from this art piece at all. These signs of age actually give the frame a rustic appearance and adds a nice patina to it. This item will be mailed insured and the cost of insurance is included in the handling cost of the item. This very old oval framed photo was in an old farmhouse estate that we purchased. It is in extremely good condition considering it is quite old. Please examine the photos carefully. Please note the good condition of the frame and that it is convex(bubble) glass in this frame. It may need a little bit of toching up and or cleaning but we are leaving that up to the buyer.The measurements are Apr. 22 7/8 inches tall and 17 inches wide. There is a match to this photograph. Circa 1915 Wood ANTIQUE 4-Part Silver Leaf Velvet Frame Girl White Dress Photo
A very exciting offering not just because of the large gorgeous period frame. But also because of the fabulous original photograph in it- which is inscribed on the back with a name and date! Read on. If you follow the photos I will try to describe what you are seeing. This may be an Edwardian or slightly post-Edwardian period frame. Corresponding to the Gilded Age of the US, as well as the beginning of World War I. It is extremely intricate and far different than any I have seen before. It is done in silver leaf on 3 of the 4 separate frame parts; the 4th was a vivid red velvet(you can still feel the soft velvet part in the crease) and now is 99- 100 year old light red fabric- still intact. Just not the soft velvet top. The overall measurements are approximately 25 1/2" wide x 29 1/2" long; the photograph is about 15 5/8" wide ... morex 19 1/2" long. The extreme outer(first part) of the frame has an intricate wavy-lined background with raised carved flowers and leaves alternating with a lovely swirl that forms a large leaf-like pattern. The wood itself is approximately 1/2" thick but this first part cascades from the wall. Up to the second part of the frame, giving the entire piece much more depth. It is approximately 2 1/4" wide. This section has a couple of chips of silver along the very bottom edge(probably from people propping it up) and a couple along the very bottom where this section meets the second section.When hung, you can barely see those because the second section protrudes and hides them. There are also some chips of silver on the other three edges, here and there- nothing huge. There is also a tiny missing piece in the upper right hand corner and a tiny chip on the angle joint. The second part of the frame appears to look like a half round tree trunk with a twiggy pattern running up and down the trunk. But. Then wrapped around the twigs are belts fastened by detailed belt buckles. This is by far one of the most interesting patterns in a frame I have ever seen; and at first you

This is a very rare antique 19th century brass and wood ornate picture frame. it has an original black and white photograph inside now that has faded ver the years but gives it a nice mysterious look. it depicts a young girl in a very large victorian home facing up the stairway. the frame has very ornate cut out brass corners which have acquired a wonderful patina from age. it measures 13 inches by 17 inches framed and the photograph alone measures 9 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches. the frame is in nice shape just has a couple surface scratches to the glass. and refer to the pictures of the photograph it is faded and worn but does have a cool antique look. can be swapped out if desired.
