Large measures 23" x 19" inner frame measures 20 1/4" x 16 1/4" Oak frame with bracers or brackets to hold the wood together.See photos. The art print is almost like a lithograph. Its gorgeous! there are a few tears, and creases, but the image is still vivid and alive! The print looks to be covered with a paper backing and then there is a faux wood grain tape for a border. Gorgeous Antique 19th Century Victorian Gold Gilt Frame
This is a truly stunning antique late 19th century Victorian gold gilt frame. This frame will bring any oil painting you have alive! The overall frame measures 22 1/8 inches x 19 5/8 inches(56.2 cm x 50 cm) The back opening measures 10 3/4 inches x 8 1/4 inches(27.3 cm x 21 cm) The width is an incredible 6 inches(15.2 cm) It is made from three sections to form a super wide frame. It has some minor damage. One inside corner has a missing piece of composition about one quarter inch(64 cm) wide and the other corner has a tiny crack in it about 1 inch long(2.54 cm) There are a couple of pieces chipped off the composition and a very small amount of touchup in one corner on the outside. Please see the photos. Some of the gilding has been worn off in a few areas. Most notably the interior beading. I'm being very picky about the damage. Up for sale is an antique 19th Century Pietra Dura picture frame. The gold metal is bronze acting as the frame and easel. The Pietra Dura is in great condition. Blue green, white flowers. The piece opens up like a door serving the purpose as a picture frame. Has the inside glass for the frame. I believe that the wire stand on the back is an old replacement. Large Antique Mid 19th Century Lemon Gold Gilded Stenciled Portrait Frame
This is a large antique mid-19th century lemon gold gilded stenciled portrait frame. This particular frame wasn't originally used for a portrait. Though this type of frame is frequently used for that purpose. It measures 23.25" x 29.25" overall(59 cm x 74 cm) The back opening size measures 18" x 24" 45.7 cm x 61 cm) The molding width is 3" 7.6 cm) The frame hasn't been retouched at all. It does have a few chipped off pieces. Antique Gilded 19th Century APC Bonte Wood Picture Frame with Picture
This approx. 14" x 12" antique. Oval, gilded wood picture frame with gesso ornaments, was hand made in the"FRAMES and LOOKING GLASSES" workshop of APC Bonte in Cincinnati, Ohio in the second half of the nineteenth century. Part of the original label is still can be seen on the back. I do not know if the picture of a mother and her son in the 9 1/2" opening is also a period antique, but I am positive that the black touch-ups on it were not made by Photoshop or Corel Draw. The frame and the picture is in very good to excellent condition, but the gesso decoration was shaved off from the outer rim of the frame for some times ago. Rare Antique Mid 19th Century Oval Brass Shell On Wood Frame (#2)
Please note that I will be listing two of these frames separately tonight. One a little larger than the other. This one is the larger one. This is a rare antique mid-19th-century oval brass shell on wood frame. It dates from the 1840s. It measures 14 7/8" x 13 1/4" 37.8 cm x 33.7 cm) It fits a picture size 12 1/4" x 10 1/2" 31 cm x 26.7 cm) The molding is 1 5/8" wide(4.1 cm) This is an American frame made of a brass shell molding. Which is crimped over the sides of the wood molding. As you can see in the photos. The wood has shrunk a bit leaving two thin openings. But these do not affect the sturdiness of the frame at all. The photos of the various sections of the frame aren't in any particular order. As I was getting confused! There are two small dents on it. There are also four small reverse dents. On about ... morehalf of the outer rim there is a light reddish color that has developed. I believe it's from age(please see photo) I don't feel these take away from the old world feel of the frame. Pair Antique Mid 19th Century Silver Gilded Lemon Gold Frames
This is an almost exact pair of antique mid-19th century silver gilded lemon gold frames. They were both covered in paint and were professionally stripped to bring out the original silver gilding. As a result of the stripping. Some of the silver gilding came off, mostly on the raised edges of the frame molding. Also, some of the paint couldn't be removed, but it tends to blend in with the frames. Overall. One measures 14 3/4 inches x 19 1/4 inches(37.47 cm x 48.9 cm) It fits a picture measuring 10 5/8 inches x 15 1/8 inches(27 cm x 38.42 cm) It's molding width measures 2 1/2 inches(6.35 cm) The other is similar in size. Overall. It measures 14 5/8 inches x 19 3/8 inches(37.15 cm x 49.2 cm) It will hold a picture measuring 10 1/2 inches x 15 1/4 inches(26.67 cm x 38.74 cm) It's molding also measures 2 1/2 inches wide(6.35 cm) As ... moreyou can see in the photos. All of the corners are a little off and there is some space where each corner meets. Each corner also has some chipping. Especially the rear part of the corners. There's a tiny hole chip on one of the shorter sides of a frame(please see photo) Neither came with any glass. These frames would be great with old oil paintings. This is an antique 19th-century walnut fluted cove deepwell Hudson River School frame. I would date it 1860s to 1870s. Overall. The frame measures 20 1/8 inches by 16 15/16 inches(51.1 cm x 43 cm) The back opening size is 14 7/8 inches by 11 5/8 inches(37.8 cm x 29.5 cm) The molding width measures 2 7/8 inches(7.3 cm) The frame itself is fairly thick at 2 1/8 inches(5.4 cm) It has its original finish. Some of it has worn off or has been lightly scratched off. There are two areas right next to each other where the finish is a little discolored along the fluted cove section(please see photos) There are a number of tiny chips or dings to the finish. But nothing very deep. However, they are noticeable. Also. Each corner has openings where the wood meets. I don't know if this is original or shrinkage. It has old square nails. Small Antique Mid 19th Century Mahogany Veneer Frame Lemon Gold Gilt Liner
This is a small antique mid-19th century period mahogany or possibly rosewood veneer frame with a lemon gold gilt liner. It dates from around the 1840s to 1850s. And possibly earlier. It has a lovely old finish. But given its age. It has a number of small imperfections. But the overall look is quite beautiful. Overall. The frame measures 6 3/4 inches by 10 9/16 inches(17.2 cm x 26.8 cm) The back opening size is 4 7/8 inches by 8 3/4 inches(12.4 cm x 22.2 cm) The molding width measures 1 5/8 inches(4.3 cm) The frame itself is very thick at 1 3/8 inches(3.5 cm) The issues: there is a slight separation at each of the corners where the wood meets. It has a tiny dent in the top left-hand corner of the frame. It has numerous light scratches on it. But the veneer is fairly thick so they still look dark. There is an approximately 1/4 inch by 1/8 ... moreinch chip in one corner of the frame. Next to it are some dents and small scratches(please see photos) The liner is worn at places and the gray is showing through. It has half of the original hanging piece on the back. But is missing the ring part. You can see the sheets of gilding on the liner. The liner has a tiny chip in one corner and two in another corner(please see photos) I believe there was glass at the front. Then something sitting in it, and then a back to keep it in place, forming a shadowbox(please see photo) The back itself is made deep by an additional layer of wood attached to it. I've secured the liner in place with frame staples. It has its original wavy and bubbled glass. But it has some scratches and scuff marks to it. It would be great for an old oil painting. Drawing, folk art work, sampler, fraktur, silhouette, etc. It weighs just over 1 pound(454 g) It has what I always look for in frames. That wonderful old world look! Pair Antique 19th Century Dutch German Geometric Painted Woodgrain Finish Frames
This is a very cool looking pair of antique late 19th-century Dutch or German geometric painted woodgrain finish frames. The three dimensional aspect of these frames is quite intriguing. I believe these are particularly rare. Especially to find a pair. Overall. Each measures 19.25" x 21.75" 48.9 cm x 55.25 cm) Their back opening size is 14.5" x 17" 36.83 cm x 43.18 cm) The molding widths vary. At the center of each side it is just under 2" 5.08 cm) Around the corners the molding is wider and measures 2 5/8" 6.67 cm) Unlike late 19th century American frames where the wood is covered in white gesso and then faux grainwood painted. These are covered in a dark gray gesso and then faux painted. So where there are chips to the finish, a dark gray comes through. And there are numerous chips. It would be impossible for ... moreme to point out all of them. So please look closely at the photos to get a feel of the damage. I've seen frames like these in the past, and they always have many chips on them. But the overall look of this pair is really beautiful. They each have their original wavy glass. Oddly enough. One weighs 3 lbs. 13.8 oz. 1.754 kg) and the other weighs 4 pounds 4.3 ounces(1.936 kg) I think one may have a thicker and heavier piece of glass than the other, because the frames themselves are identical. These frames would be great for a pair of old oil paintings. Folk art works, samplers, frakturs, or any other special art you may have. They have what I always look for in frames. I would date it late 1890s to approximately 1910. Overall. This is a very good-looking antique mid-19th century lemon gold gilt portrait frame. I would date it 1850s to 1860s. As this look in frames was popular during that period. Overall. It measures 21 3/4 inches x 27 3/4 inches(55.25 cm x 70.5 cm) The back opening size is 18 inches x 24 inches(45.72 cm x 60.96 cm) The molding measures 2 3/8 inches wide(6.03 cm) The frame is in very good condition except for a few small issues. Each corner has a tiny nick in it. One a little larger than the others at about 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch(64 cm x 1.27 cm) There are also a few areas where some light touch ups were done many years ago. For the most part, they blend in with the frame. But they are there. There are also a few tiny nicks going around the outside edge. There are also some light scratches and scuff marks on the frame. Antique Italian Late 18th Early 19th Century Gold Gilded Carved Frame
This is an antique Italian late 18th or early 19th century gold gilded carved frame. Overall. It measures 23 7/8 inches x 17 1/2 inches(60.64 cm x 44.45 cm) The back opening size is 20 1/2 inches x 14 1/8 inches(52.07 cm x 35.88 cm) The molding measures 2 3/8 inches wide(6.03 cm) I have to say. This is one great-looking frame. However. It does have a few flaws. Mostly, there are about a dozen spots where the gold is chipped off. This will need some type of retouching. On the bottom piece of the molding there is a 1/4 inch round piece of gold missing also(64 cm) There are also a few tiny nicks on it. But they are simply age-related for an antique frame. On the back of the frame. Someone wrote in pencil many years ago Tuscan School 18th century. There is also an odd piece of cork along the bottom piece of the molding in the rear. Along the ... moretop and to the side there are numbers written which I believe signify the frame came from a museum and was deaccessioned at one point. Along the top molding in the rear there is a triangle shape with three holes in it where I believe there was one of the early handwrought hooks that are found in frames of this age. This is a beautiful antique late 19th century lemon gold gilt. Red velvet and oak frame. It was created around the turn-of-the-century with three separate frame types. The oak dates circa 1900. The velvet circa 1880s and the lemon gold gilt liner approximately 1850s. Together they make a beautiful frame. Look at the pictures closely; maybe you can enlighten me if you can make out more. It stands 12 inches tall and is approximately 7 1/8 inches wide. It holds a picture 4 1/4 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches tall. It is made of heavy iron and has a beautiful gold colored finish. It has 3 metal picture holders to hold a picture in but is missing the glass. There are no breaks or repairs.

Antique small Roman micromosaic picture frame. Brass and glass tesserae. Made in Italy. Circa 1870-90. Measurements: Length of frame. Excluding legs and finial is approx 3 1/8 inches. Including legs and finial just under 3 1/2 inches. Width a little over 2 1/2 inches. Easel shaped frame. Acorn feet. Well set tesserae of many colours and shapes. Forming a floral pattern around an oval reserve. Surrounded by gilt metal and micromosaic borders: pink and stylised foliage with deep red, white and blue outer rim. Mark: back with engraved ITALY. Antique Mid 19th Century Lemon Gold Gilded Frame 16 X 20 Opening
This is an antique mid-19th century lemon gold gilt frame. It dates circa 1860s to 1880s. Overall. It measures 18 1/4 inches x 22 1/4 inches(46.4 cm x 56.5 cm) The back opening size is 16 1/8 inches x 20 1/8 inches(41 cm x 51.1 cm) The molding measures 1 1/2 inches wide(3.8 cm) It has all the great dots and lines you find in these old lemon gold gilded frames. It's made with old square cut nails. There is no glass. There is light loss to the outer front of the gilding along two of the pieces of molding. But when you stand a little away from it. It's not noticeable. The finish is all original. With no restorations. It's developed a beautiful old patina. It would be great for an old oil painting. WELCOME! Up for auction is a RARE antique. Early to mid- 19th Century. Italian carved oval frame with bead work along the interior which matches the 4 section carved acorn. Nut and berry raised motif. Not sure as to the exact color. If it is cherry wood color or either mahogany wood color. Has 8 x 10 rectangular recessed back. Frame does have an old 8 x 10 clear plate of glass accompanying it. Which is NOT original to the frame. But can be removed and replaced with an 8 x 10 plate glass mirror. Pair Antique Mid 19th Century Lemon Gold Gilt Frames 10 X 13 Opening
This is a classy looking pair of antique mid 19th century lemon gold gilt frames. They date circa 1840s to 1860s. Overall. They measure 17 inches x 14 inches(43.2 cm x 35.6 cm) Their back opening size is 13 inches x 10 inches(33 cm x 25.4 cm) Their molding width measures 2 3/8 inches(6 cm) The frames are fairly thick at 1 1/2 inches(3.8 cm) These frames aren't like most lemon gold frames in that they have a very cool dimensional aspect to them. They are covered in those wonderful lines and dots that make lemon gold gilt frames so beautiful. The sides are one half gilding and one half yellow paint. A classic sign of an earlier frame. There's a tiny chip on the center right edge of the short side of molding on one approximately 1/2 inch x 1/8 inch(1.3 cm x.3 cm) Each corner has a tiny chip. But one has a chip measuring approximately ... more1/2 inch x 1/4 inch(1.3 cm x.6 cm) There are a few places where the gold has worn off. But this just seems to blend in with the rest of the frame. The patina on the these frames just can't be beat. It's really exceptional. They each come with their original old wavy glass. They would be great for an old oil painting.
