Made of fine quality crystal glass, of Neo-Classical ovoid form, with a tall slender neck, terminating with a tri-foil lip, with its original faceted ovoid stopper, on a circular support. The body is etched with two concentric bands of Greek-key and foliage. The neck is cut with a tapering facets, and the underside is cut with a radiating star. This decanter measures 258 mm in height and 83 mm in width. It weighs 333 grams. Victorian Globe and Shaft Etched Glass Decanter and Stopper C.1890 Leaf Pattern This is a very attractive late Victorian cut glass decanter and stopper dating from between 1880 and 1910. It is made of hand blown glass. The hollow blown stopper is ground to fit. The body is decorated with a band of etched frosted vine and fern leaves. Size: 12 1/2 inches(31.5cm) high including stopper. Weight: 504 grammes Condition: Pretty good = there are no cracks or chips the only fault I can find is that the stopper is not an airtight fit- but it does appear to be the original and have been made like that- see the photographs. This is what we believe to be a group of seven. Victorian, similarly etched, lead glass, wine glasses dating from the period of pteridomania( a craze for ferns) in the late 19th century. The glasses are in excellent condition. This means. Of course, that they show age related wear and tear consistent with age and use. The glasses are of two forms. All decorated with the same pattern. Four are ovoid bowled and three are cup shaped. 19th c Hand Blown Enamelled / Etched Drinking Glass - Mint condition
This glass has been in the family for many years. It is 3 1/ tall and 2 1/2" diameter. It is opalescent at the rim(scalloped design) The rest of the glass is etched with heavily enameled flowers. The back of the glass has reeds and 2 flying ducks(in the distance) as if a scene over a watery area. The glass appears to be hand blown based on the bottom of the glass(see picture#3) It looks as if the glass was formed and a 1 1/4" pontil was inserted into the base of the glass. ANTIQUE Acid etched TUMBLER with Lord's Prayer- COOL lettering and graphic GOTH!
Here is a great old Religious collectibles piece. An antique clear crystal tumbler with the Lord's Prayer acid etched onto the side of it. This may originally have been a night table stand water glass, perhaps for someone young who was just beginning to remember the words! The top opening is 2 3/4" in diameter, and it stands 3 5/8" high off the table. Condition is really great for a thin piece of glass of this age, it does have one TINY(microscopic- fleabite I almost missed, and it's very hard to feel as well. The lettering and graphics are all intact and can be easily read. Age is 1850- 1910, but I would pare it down to 1880-1900. The style of it including the angel is quite Gothic! These 2" tall and the base 1" across. I do not know what the silver material is. I do know it does not stick to a magnet. They are all marked made in Czechoslovakia on the bottom. There are very small nicks in the outer edges of some of the glass which is fairly common when cutting a round piece of glass in the early 1900's. They are not very noticeable to the naked eye. very pretty cruet. Blown glass with applied handle measures 6 1/4" to top of handle, 6 3/4" to top of stopper this is old as I remember it when I was a little girl and I believe that it was old when it was given to my mother(I was a little girl in the early 40's) I do not know if the stopper is original it is the one it has always had while in our possession but I don't really think it fits just right. It does the job though- the design is a large flower with broad leaves and fern leaves around it, it is the same design on both sides and is a very pretty, graceful design thank you for looking!

A late 19th Century liqueur sized decanter in the claret jug style. The body is of attractive conical form and is beautifully etched in intaglio style with swags and stylised flowers. The glass section is unmarked but would clearly appear to be a Stourbridge factory. Perhaps Stevens& Williams. The solid silver mount is of good heavy gauge and comes with a lid having a thumb lift. The handle is of looped form attached at the top only. The mount has London Hallmarks for 1893. It also has the makers mark for Horace Woodward& Co. The silver marks are a little rubbed as you can see in the close up image but can still be made out well enough to read. A very stylish example with the extra feature of the intaglio style cutting to the high quality body. Hinge and lid functioning well and this item would be ok to use as well as display. Most of the gold has worn from the etched design which encircles the bowl. Neck, foot& stopper. The attached handled& edges of the cruet also show gold wearing.
