18th Century Milk Glass Tankard - Bohemia ca.1780 - Bristol - Harrach - Bavaria
From my personal collection and for your consideration we have a very scarce if not rare form for a milk glass tankard. I would attribute this piece to the Harrach Glass Works or perhaps another house of undetermined origin in Bavaria. Standing a proud 5 3/8" with a 4 1/4" diameter this example has survived over 200 years and retains 100% of the original polychrome enameling which depicts a Church in the countryside with mountains in the background. The lip has was ground and polished and the applied handle and terminal are intact with no signs of damage. The smooth or re-fired base shows signs of honest base wear to commensurate with a piece of glass of the period. These period enameled pieces which reflect non-generic subject matter were privately commissioned. Were very costly to produce and were cherished possessions which were ... moremost likely handed down from generation to generation in velvet bags. I will be listing some other rare 18th Century milk glass pieces from my collection in the few days so please check back from time to time and/or search for 18th Century milk glass. Thank you! AGAIN. My formatting has precluded the" make an offer" option so feel free to mail me with an offer on the eBay platform! PLEASE READ OUR TERMS. Antique Stiegel Flip Glass Beaker 18th Century Rare Maclay Mansion
This is a beautiful antique Stiegel type flip glass. It is labeled Stiegel"FLIP" Maclay Mansion. I do not know how to authenticate this. But my research has led to believe that this could definitely be accurate. The glass is definitely hand blown, thin and designed in a way that matches the description of glass from this time period. The Maclay Mansion is in Harrisburgh,Pa which is not far from where Stiegel glass was made in Manheim, Pa. This is a beautiful piece of history. It may be impossible to completely authenticate this as Stiegel did not mark his work. Measures 4inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. Posted with

18th-19th century Stiegal-type engraved mug..German / Bohemian / American ??
Here is the real deal. I obviously would not try my hand at attribution on this piece but it is of the variety that used to be called Stiegal-type. I think today that classification is outdated.I'm kind of old school. Unfortunately the problem with this piece is a hairline crack in the outer base that extends up both ends of itself about an inch into the lower body. Other than that it is clean. Clear, and practically a museum piece. At any rate, a great period example. Base is 3 1/2 in. top is 3 3/8 in. hieght is 4 3/4 in. and weight is 9 oz. Freeblown, pontil and applied handle. Absolutely clear.
