Ornate Antique Victorian Carved Oak Wood Picture Frame
The outer dimensions of this antique frame are approx. 21 3/4" x 25 3/4" The inside dimensions. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. I would assume that this was not an inexpensive frame in it's day. It is in super condition, with only very slight blemishes- VERY slight. Thanks for viewing this auction.

Antique Victorian Picture Frame - All wood ornate design Gold 10 1/2 x 12 1/2
This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. I have taken pictures of them close up. Frame measures 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the picture is 6 x 8. Very nice piece from the past. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. The deep dark outside border really highlights the lemon ... moregold inside border. It's a great frame! Shipping is $20 within the continental United States. No international shipping. Antique Victorian Gesso Wood Gillded Picture Frame Large 18X15 Oval ~ Old Art
Up for bids at auction: Up for bids today is this round antique wooden gilded picture frame. This frame was an old estate find and is solid. And restorable/ usable. It has some cracking from age along with a place on the edge where the gesso has chipped away over the years and a few visible layers of old paint(see pics) and is just as found. It measures 18 inches long, 15 inches wide on the outside; inside the frame is roughly 11 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches. On the back side, it is made to take a square piece of glass measuring a little over 12 by 9 inches. The lip for the picture/ glass measures roughly 3/8ths on an inch deep. Here is a beautiful antique picture frame that I found at auction recently and had to buy. It is in excellent condition for such an old frame. It is around 19 by 25 on the outside and will accomodate a 13 by 19 oval picture. The center piece in it is now a piece of embroidered cloth mounted on a piece of cardboard. This frame is in such great condition that I see no chips or scratches. And someone put some kind of gold foil on the round knobs on each design. You can see that in the closeup pictures, it makes that part look like real gold. This is just a really nice old frame that will make a great compliment for that special picture you've been saving. This is a vintage antique Art Deco tilt swing wood and composite picture photo frame. It is of muted browns and gray tones. Some gild as well. It is 13" tall to top of decoration and is 12.5" across the bottom stand. The glass measures 9.5" T x 7 3/4" W and has a very handsome photo of a sailor which comes with it. There are a couple of very minor hairline cracks but no loss of material. The gesso has a shell and rose pattern in it. Very ornate. Then each corner has an added ornate overlay with acanthus leaves and flowers. This would be wonderful to add a mirror and hang it or use it as a vanity mirror. In addition it's perfect to use as a picture frame, comes with glass and is ready to hang. The overall measurement is 18x15 and inside measures 13.25x10.25 inches. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE GILT WOOD GESSO PICTURE MIRROR WALL FRAME ORNATE 24"x32" LARGE
We are pleased to offer this very beautiful. C1920, antique frame. This frame offers solid gilt wood with gesso acanthus leaf accents in the corner sections. The frame features an outer design of small cut/incised acanthus leaves. There is a unique cut pattern to the wood in the center sections of the frame which gives it a"brushed" gold appearance. The inner section features small cut beads. The frame is very European in style and design. It is very beautiful and in very good condition. There are some very minor surface cracks to the gesso, as it quite common with pieces this old. They do not extend below the surface and do not affect the stability of the gesso. They are very hard to discern except upon very close inspection. The frame does not show its age at all and the gilted finish is incredible. The frame had an old picutre ... morein it which was not in good condition. There are traces of the old paper backing to the back of the frame. The frame retains the hangers and wire. This is a nice sized frame. The outer measurements are 24" x32" The inner dimensions are 20"x26" The frame is 1.25" in thickness at the corners and.75" elsewhere.
