I believe this set to be a smoking set for holding cigarettes. With two individual ashtrays or a tea set for sugar and teabag holders. I know it is old, and in great condition with just a small spot on cover where gold trim is lapsed. The glass is green colored. Smooth textured, and frosted. The trim outline of just the cover, and both small trays is gold. Cover and trays each have a hand-painted pheasant with surrounding foliage. The dimensions on the covered box are length 4.5" width3.5" and height1.5" and the trays are 4" length 3" width and0.5" height.

Selling some cranberry glass for my grandmother. I will answer questions to the best of my ability. However antiques are not my usual sales. This is a cranberry glass pickle castor. With a white thumbprint/coin print pattern over the glass. There is a silverplate base/frame, pair of tongs, and silverplate lid with an eagle on top of it. The silver is very detailed. There are some minor blemishes on the top rim of the glass. Probably due to being however old this is(I'm guessing it was made sometime between 1850-1910. I photographed the top to show these imperfections. Condition: Excellent. Apart from minor blemishes on top rim of glass and other signs of age. I bought them at an Antique Fair in 1976 as a set of four but I have completely smashed one of them so now there are three. They have this wonderful embossed pattern standing off in relief which are like little cones with ridges on to give the affect of a cone. And gold leaf decoration. A couple of ridges has been lost(see pics) over the many years of use but are still very beautiful. They measure approx 10.75 cm High and 3.5 cm across the top and 4.5 cm across the bottom part. Early Cut Glass Spooner~Beautiful Cuts~Awesome Condition!
This cut glass spooner is unmarked. But the quality, depth and sharpness of the cuts make me believe it's from one of the leading American Brilliant cutting houses. I realize there are a lot of the same picture, but I've tried to show how the cuts reflect different colors with different lighting. The entire surface has some sort of cut-large and small hobstars, fans, diamond and mitered cuts all are deep and sharp. The bottom edge is also cut-smoothed and coming to rounded tips on a beveled edge. A large hobstar on the bottom has a buttoned star within it. Condition on this piece is wonderful-there are extremely tiny flakes here and there-maybe a total of 3 or 4 on the whole piece-and there's a very small flake on the edge of one of the squared-off teeth at top. It maybe visible in picture 5(sorry, my photo program doesn't ... morehave an option for arrows to indicate certain areas) None of the flaws are visible without a thorough search, and because of the sharp cuts, they're even harder to feel. The top and bottom edges is slightly flared, giving it a corseted shape. It measures 4 1/4" high, 3 3/8" across the top and 2 7/8" across the bottom. I've looked and looked, but can't find a maker's mark. It doesn't matter.there are no disappointments with this piece! Shipped within five business days of receiving payment. Antique Pinched Quilted or Wrythen Threaded Glass Bowl Stevens & Williams c1880
Here we have a lovely piece of late 19th century glass. An art glass bowl. I think that it was probably made by the renowned Stevens and Williams Brierley Hill glassworks in Stourbridge, originally in Staffordshire, now West Midlands, England. It was probably made around 1880. It has been beautifully made and is of quite a complex design. The main body is a plain bowl shape but with a pinched or wavy rim. There are six large pinches. The body has a diamond quilted effect throughout. Particularly visible when viewing the smooth inside of the bowl. The outside of the bowl is decorated with a threaded or trailed glass design. The main body colour is a light pink. Cranberry or ruby glass colour as evidenced by the plain central section where the pontil has been ground. The threading gives an irridescent effect which makes the glass look almost ... moreorange. This is not unlike the effect given by orange carnival glass. It stands approx 2 5/8 inches high. A rim diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the base diameter is 3 1/8 inches. It weighs 230g unpacked. Condition is good. Although there are a number of knocks to the threading with some losses of the threads. Some damage you would expect to see with such an antique piece of glass. This is a lovely vase that would grace any interior and is of particular interest to collectors of Victorian and 19th century art glass. This Early Victorian Sailors Forget me not rolling pin design ships salt holder I think dates to around 1840 possibly a little either way in date. The glass has a milky/Vaseline pale blue colour with a darker bobble on one end and varying shades of blue as seen in the photos, there are transfer print coloured scenes of a ship in full sail at sea and the Sailors Farewell although these are a little worn as shown, in the centre it has a written poem forget me not, the salt container measures 13.5 inches long and the glass is in good condition apart from a notch or chip on the open end as shown but this may be when made

Delicate Larger Ancient Roman Glass Vessel With perfect little handle. Would have held expensive oils or perfumes in antiquity. Lovely thin walled glass showing encrustation and an ancient circular crack which has sealed with encrustation as pictures with the light behind show up. Great example of higher quality ancient glass. Made around 100-400 A.D. Bubbles throughout. Approximately 1600-2000 years old. Purchased from United Kingdom Antiquities dealer several years ago, Certificate of Authenticity. About 3 1/8"inches height. Antique French Saint Louis Crystal Gilded Liquor Set Pair Decanters, Tray, Glass
Description An antique French Saint Louis crystal liquor service. Circa 1908. Comprising of a stoppered liquor decanter and six cordial or shot glasses all atop the original tray with fluted edge. The exquisite set is of the finest quality crystal in a rare purple color, engraved and gilded with heavy floral decoration comprising of scrolling foliate, lattice and sinuous vines. This model and pattern is illustrated in the Saint Louis catalog for 1908, page 40. We had this pattern before in clear crystal, but never seen in this unique purple color. The mouth blown crystal is beautifully cut and generates a lovely musical ring when tapped. The decanter features a ruffled rim, edged in gilding, terminating to a slender neck with flared body. Retains the faceted cut stopper, topped by a gilded star. Marked on the base of the stopper with the ... morenumber 31, corresponding with the matching number on the mouth of the decanter. These pieces are unmarked, made prior to the acid etched mark first used by the firm in 1936. Like Baccarat, the Saint Louis cristallerie marked their wares with a paper label prior to their acid etched branding and these old paper labels were often lost, washed away or worn with time. Ideal for your favorite liquor, and amaze your guests to an enjoyable after dinner liqueur served in these charming antique cordial glasses. For it's 100+ years in very good condition overall for age and type. Some wear to the gilding. Tray has a few nibbles on the edge and a chip as shown and some scratches to the base.
