Beautiful antique bookcase in the American Eastlake style. Size is 42" wide. 16" deep(at the base) and 60" high. Three adjustable shelves 37" x 10" Key to lock on front door works well. Bottom drawer slides well but has no key. Locking hooks at top and bottom of left door work well. I don't know the date it was produced. We bought it in its present condition(refinished) from Brass Lantern Antiques in Waynesville, Ohio about 20 years ago. It is in excellent condition. Antique Eastlake Style Bookcase Cabinet Triple Beveled Glass Doors Original Keys
PICK UP AVAILABLE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA OR YOU WILL NEED TO ARRANGE PICKUP AND SHIPPING TO YOUR DESTINATION. This is a beautiful Eastlake piece of history. Dates from late 1800's. Mahogany, 55 inches high, 52 inches wide and 14" deep. The doors are heavy beveled glass as are the mirrors on either side. The doors lock and I have the original keys. Pictures don't do it justice, fine detailing and styling. It has a few minor issues, I have the piece you can see is missing from the top. We purchased this book cabinet in Central Pennsylvania in the early 1970's from an antique dealer. He estimated it to be almost 100 years old at that time. It isn't perfect, there are some surface scratches on the top and side shelves but a beauty, fine workmanship and detail. A truly lovely old piece of furniture. ESTATE FIND George III Bookcase Cabinet china hutch curio From the estate of a Dutch immigrant who brought this with him from Holland in the 1950s you can see the original shipping tags on the back of the cabinet. I am not an expert in antique furniture however I believe this is a George III double door locking glass door cabinet from the late 1700s to the early 1800s. Everything looks original except the pane of glass in the right door. Being 200 years old this piece of furniture is not perfect.The burl type veneer on the columns is cracking. The lock& key works but the key cannot be removed from the lock, the bottom right portion of the finish has faded, There are various small repairs here and there but everything looks original.
