Vintage"Latest Jewels Berr Album of Music" 1878(RARE) Up for sale today is a music book by Jewels Berr from 1878. That makes it 134 years old. It has a nice hard bound cover with embossed gold lettering on the front. There is 160 pages of music in this book. Some of the pieces included are: Rigoletto by Verdi, Chopin's Waltz by Chopin, Flying Dutchman by Richard Wagner and Verdict by Strauss. The pages are slightly yellowed due to age, but the pieces are complete and very readable. The covering is in farely good condition, although there is wear on the binding on the ends and a spot that is worn away. There is also a dark spot on the cover that you can see in the photo. It belonged to my Mother and her Aunt and has been passed down to me. I nolonger play, so have decided to pass it along for someone to appreciate and use. For your consideration. This a a vintage, filigree ornate candleholder more than likely used in a Catholic church on an altar. The top of the candleholder has 9 beautiful, large jewels, open set, to allow the light from the candle to shine through the stones. The stones are blue, green, red, yellow and lavendar colored. The top of the candleholder swivels in a 360 degree circle. The bottom of the candleholder has art deco, paw-like feet and has three symbols-a cross, the sacred heart and IHS. The top has Christ figures holding a staff and"Christ Our King" inscripted underneath each figure. This measures approx. 6-1/4" high by 3-3/4" wide. There are two areas of note- chip/missing piece(small and can't be seen when front bezel is on) at edge of dial by 1:30. And a couple of hairlines at the 7. Lastly, tiny scratch to the right of'Rockford' you really need a loop to see it) Movement: not running; Grade 645; marked'Rockford Watch Co. U.S.A. 21 jewels adjusted heat& cold 842543' all in gold lettering(circa 1911) nice spiral damaskeened design; crown/stem does not turn clockwise. But ... moredoes turn counter clockwise and make clicking sound; balance wheel shows some smooth movement and spring rebound when gently nudged with a toothpick. VINTAGE JAEGER LECOULTRE 8-DAY MANTEL DESK CLOCK , 7 JEWELS, RUNNING, LE COULTRE
This is an attractive 8-day Jaeger LeCoultre mantel or desk clock with an unusual black and gold case and jewelled movement. Apparently dating from 1963. The dial is marked“LeCoultre. T Swiss T” with an 8 in a circle to denote an 8-day clockwork movement. I don’t know when the clock was last serviced, but it winds& adjusts smoothly, and keeps good time(currently accurate to about 2 minutes per week, but I‘m regulating it this week to try and improve that) Stuck to the base is the original diamond-shaped manufacturer’s label which bears the Jaeger-LeCoultre logo and says“LeCoultre. 7 jewels, 8 days, ref. 539/ 63” I presume that 63 denotes the year of manufacture, but if any Ebayers know differently please let me know. The dial. Hands and markers are all in very good condition. Under magnification, the crystal has some faint scratches, ... morebut these are barely visible to the naked eye. The top and rear sections of the case have some dulling and light tarnishing of the gilding, which may polish out with the correct product, but I leave that decision to the winning bidder. I don’t know what the black panels are made of; they may be resin. Or clear laquer over metal, but have the appearance of mica, flecked with hundreds of tiny gold-coloured chips which sparkle nicely in the sun. I’m guessing these panels may be made of the same material as the blue imitation lapis panels on other JLC clocks. There is faint hairline crackling on both the side panels(see photo) which may be in a laquer coat. Under magnification, the front panel has some faint scratches, but there are hardly visible to the naked eye. The clock measures 12.5 cms x 8.5 x 3.5 cms(4.75 x 3.5 x 1.4 inches) and the dial has a diameter of 6.3 cms/ 2.5 inches. It weighs a chunky 591 grammes/ 21 ounces. This is a vintage Schatz 400 day anniversary clock made in Germany. It measures 8 1/2 inches tall. Almost 5 1/4 inches across and 4 1/4 inches deep. It is marked Aug. Schatz& Sohne Germany 53, 2 jewels unadjusted and the numbers 2 and 58(which I understand means the month and year of clock) I am selling this clock AS IS, it is missing the small bottom block that connects the wire to ball pendulum, I don't know if it works because of missing piece and there is no key. The clock looks clean, however the glass cover has a cracked glass side(see picture please) there are some scratches to glass center front and the brass top has a lot of corrosion(again see picture) Paypal only and payment within three days please. An old Mark 1 Deck Clock. The clock is an 8 day clock and has 11 jewels. The side screws off and the back of the clock has the key and settings for using. We wound it up and it started running. It quit running after several minutes. The outside round frame is 6 1/2" diameter. With the hinge and screw on lock. It is 8 1/2" wide. It is 4" thick. It weighs a little over 4 pounds. We think the case is made of a thick bakelite. But we are not sure. The front glass cover is curved. We think the clock dates to the World war II era. But we are not sure. From an estate. It has been stored for many years.
