Looks like it could be late 1800's, I did not try to take the picture out to see if it was dated on the back) from late 1800's or early 1900's? Welcome. For your consideration is a vintage late 1800's- early 1900's Eastlake style walnut and gold gesso frame. The frame is in overall good condition with the walnut having gentle wear and tear to the surface. The inner surface of the frame has several beveled edges. All four corners are in good condition with normal wear and tear but no noticeable damage. The inner gold gilt liner is in overall good condition with a slight chip near one of the edges. This antique etched and beveled glass photo frame is not marked. To hold in the picture you need to unscrew the screws at each corner. It does have two small chips towards the bottom of the frame and the top of the frame looks like it is a little scratched on the other side. Otherwise to me it looks great for being this old. Vintage very old picture or art frame. It is solid wood and might have a layer of gesso. It is 10 by 7.75 inches on the outside and 7 by 8.5 on the inside. This is my favorite It is black and red. Glass& Photo included Listed for auction is a free standing vintage Art Deco style wooden frame that holds up to an 8" x 10" photograph. I believe it was probably made sometime between 1900-1940. It's made of wood that's painted silver and embossed with(black) decorative repeating patterns. It's remained in its original(very good- excellent) condition even after all of these years. The wood is not warped and shows nothing more than gentle use so it swivels well. The stand& frame are still stable& secure, and it looks almost as good as new too. The overall dimensions of the frame& stand are 12" high X 10-3/4" ... morewide X 1-3/4" deep. I have not removed the photograph that came in this frame when I purchased it to clean the inside of the glass but the glass appears to be in fine condition with no chips or cracks. The wood frame has rubbed a bit against the wooden base so you can see a very slight bit of wear in that spot(see my final photo) but other that. The frame& stand appear to be in very fine condition. The wood has a very tight, fine grain, more likely cherry wood than walnut, but I am not sure. Has glass, probably original to the frame, but I cannot be certain. Beautiful Antique Ornate Brass Frame with a portrait of a Woman and a Baby. Frame measures 14 1/2 x 12. Picture part is 8 x 8. It is also gilded style around the picture part. It has 4 brackets on the back that holds picture. Has chain where it can be hung on the wall. Has a spot on the right side of the woman's shoulder. There are a few spots by her hand. It would probably need just a little cleaning and they would come off. Took pictures the best I could. There really small. Otherwise in great condition. Gorgeous frame. Pretty heavy. VINTAGE 1900-1940 COLONIAL ORNATE GILT FILIGREE PICTURE FRAME CONVEX, ROCOCO
Offering a beautiful picture frame with a image of a very lovely victorian era little girl. This frame has no markings of where it was made. Dates prior to 1940's. It has a nice convex bubble glass and it may be kept as is or repurposed for a lovely mirror. Glass and frame are free of cracks. No scratches on the glass but some superficial ones on the back of the metal frame and some shrinking to the red felt backing. It has original patina. I have only dusted the frame and cleaned the glass. It has a ring to be hung on the wall or it may be placed on a nice vintage tripod to sit on any surface. Very ornate with flowers. VINTAGE SOLID OAK FRAME IN GOOD CONDITION. Contains an antique print- a page from a Victorian children’s nursery rhyme book–RED RIDING HOOD and the Wolf. The center has a colored print– a chromolith– a picture of Red Riding Hood with a basket for Granny. Walking in the wood picking flowers, with a wolf as her companion– initials J L on the lower left side. The print is circa 1900’s. Around the center picture are small pictures of the wolf and Red Riding Hood and parts of the nursery rhyme. With RED RIDING HOOD on the lower left side. An unusual shaped page because the nursery rhyme book had slanted upper corners. Some all-over very slight discoloration– making the page light beige– this could be the original color of the page? The nursery rhyme is not matted but mounted on a complimentary color mat. The solid oak frame is circa 1960’s. The ... moreframe measures just over 14 inches by just over 16 inches from the outside. Frame opening for the glass and contents is 12 ½ inches by 14 ½ inches. The frame is firm. No wiggle– corners are tight. Frame and contents weigh about 3 pounds before any packing materials.
