She is just too precious! This adorable little baby is sitting in a Victorian stroller and is framed in a tiger wood oval frame with the original convex glass. The frame measures 17 by 23 inches and the glass is 13 by 19 inches. The condition is very good. There are a couple small tears. The most prominent one being near the bottom. I have shown them in the last two pictures. They don't seem to be distracting and they certainly do not take away from this beautiful little baby. Excellent condition. But does have some very fine scratches from polishing and age. The outer edge of black has some paint missing. See pics. Oval frame measures 23" tall. And 17' wide. Picture opening is 18 3/4" long, and 13" wide. The back of the frame has one spot about 1 inche wide where the nail tore through. It was repaired many years ago and you cannot see it from the front. The picture is of St. Teresa of Lisieux?Avila? and is in very nice condition. There are a few ripples at the top and a few nips off the edges.See pics. Inside the photo which we opened from the back we found a postcard dated 1942 from St. Paul Minn to Fairmount Minn. I will include this with the picture and the frame and documentation of its age. I believe this frame was probably made sometime around 1900. I found this treasure at a sale on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs. NY(a place known for it's grand Victorian era homes& rich history) a few years ... moreago. It remains in the same condition that I found it. The convex glass needs to be cleaned but it appears not to be scratched. Broken, or chipped. The wooden frame is tiger wood with black paint outlining the picture opening& the outer edge of the oval frame. The frame has some minor chips& scratches(understandable. Considering its age) There is about a 2.5“ crack/ split/ separation in the wood. It runs parallel to the flat back side of the frame& the best way I can describe it is that it is similar to when laminated wood layers might separate from each other. it's not the type of crack that runs straight through the thickness of the wood from the top to bottom so you only see the crack on the back of the frame. It does not affect the structure or appearance of the frame because the split in the wood doesn't run through to the front of the frame& it can easily be repaired with glue. It’s just barely visible when you view the frame from the side& back and you can’t see it at all from the front. I believe this is an original(possibly hand colored) photograph so it's a bit faded from age& there is a small tear in the photographic paper where the

Nice antique religious picture in its original frame with convex glass. The frame is 24x14" And appears to be plaster(or maybe gesso? painted in a tiger wood pattern. I have seen other frames like this before- it seems to have been a fairly common practice. The print is a little faded but otherwise is in very good condition. The backing has some tears. Antique Victorian Tiger Wood Oval Frame with Charming Photo of Young Girl
This was a frame I acquired to put in my son's wedding pictures.many that were done in black and white with a retro look. I bought many. Many frames.and this one is left over. So charming and detailed. It is made of wood. But the tiger grain seems painted on.as I believe was the fashion. What I see as different is the design found at the top, bottom and sides. Also, this does not have the convex mirror.which frankly I like better. The size is impressive.17-1/4" tall. 14" wide. The area for the photo is 12-7/8" long and 9-7/8" wide.making a photo of at least 13" x 10" necessary. There are some areas of wear which you can probably see best in the photos.but most are long the edge. If you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me.

There is also a small light smudge mark to the right top of the lady. The litho is not signed. The white mark shown at the top of the litho in the photographs is the result of the flash.
