This is a Wonderful Antique Picture/Print of The Nativity: JESUS. Mary and Joseph) Ca. 1920's-30's. It is in a round Ogee wood/plaster frame with a painted grain finish( common to this Era) This Manger Scene is covered by Convex glass and t he picture and glass are approximately 15 inches in diameter. The entire Picture measures approximately 21 inches in diameter including the frame. This Print is in Lovely condition and all colors are brilliant. The frame is sturdy but not without some wear as some of the painted grain finish has worn off in places. It is backed with cardboard and picture is held in by small nails. A gold piece of cording with a picture mold hanger was attached at sometime to the back of the frame by two small eye hooks. This is a fine example of Religious Art especially for it's age. Vintage picture frame 32" X 29" with outdoor scene print
This is a large decorative picture frame. I do not know how old it is. I said vintage because the 1/8" thick backing board has circle saw marks on it. Any newer board would be plywood. This board is 22"L X 17 3/4"W. It is not a glued up board. The close up picture shows a chip in the wood. Above that there is an area the same size of some paint on the back. I see one other small chip on the bottom.The backing board is missing some of its edge. The Print: Is not signed. Has some rips on the edge. One rip does go into the colored area of the picture. Size: Picture 18 X 14. picture with mat 21 1/2 X 17 1/2. This is the inside dimensions of the frame not the print itself. Frame: 32 X 29 with opening of 21 1/2 X 17 1/2.
