Antiqued cove molded pine wood carved picture painting frame 20 x 24 rabbet EUC
Nice antiqued pine wood picture frame will accomodate a painting or print that measures 20 x 24" The rabbet is approximately 1/4" deep and wide. The actual frame is 28 3/4 x 24 3/4" a full 4 3/4" wide. It has three separate carved edges with cove molding in between. The frame is all one piece and is nailed at the top of each mitred joint. The carved surfaces may be applied strips of molding. It is hard to see beyond the gold(not gold leaf) or bronze finish. On the back there is an inscription: Happy Birthday. Love Martha and is dated 1993. The frame quality suggests an earlier date. At any rate it is a lovely piece, mellow and subtle with the wood color dominating and the gold just creating a quiet gleam. Great frame for your watercolor, print or perhaps even oil on board or paper. Since it is made of pine or another similar ... morelight weight wood, shipping will not be astronomical! Wide Antique Pine Picture Frame, Cottage Shabby, Very Unique, One of a Kind
This was a n antique gold leaf frame. Probably dating from around 1900. That the gold and gesso have been stripped, and what is left is a wide pine frame. You can see in the picture that there's one line of gold left. The sides are mostly white(gesso) With a little gold still left here and there. This was probably a beautiful gold leaf frame. And the gold had started to come off, so some one stripped i t. It's actually pretty neat looking as is. But it's somewhat rough. There's some gold l eaf and gesso along the outsides. As well. I'm not sure exactly what shabby and chic is. But maybe this fits in that description. The rabbet size is about 7 1/8" X 9" The moulding is a good 3" wide, so the outside size is about 13" X 15" The depth is about 2 1/2" A nice. Deep frame, can be l eft as is. Painted, ... moregrain pa inted. Or possibly reguilded. Guaranteed that this is a one of a kind. And that no one has a frame just like this! It sits flat. The corners are a bit open, but the corners are nice an d tight. I will include screw eyes and wire with this frame. There's no glass. Large antique pine picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame is fairly ornate for an ordinary pine frame. It fits an approx 18 x 24 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 23 x 29 inches and it is 1 3/8 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the pine, and is in very good condition. It has a 1/4 inch piece missing at the upper right corner as shown on the 1st photo as well as several minor, dings, scratches etc, as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

All corners need regluing in a vice but should meet up fairly nicely when done and will hold art approx 8 3/4 x 10 3/4" May be a European sizing actually, not sure. The frame is 2.5" and the rabid is 1/2" and shows signs of having held a canvas originally. It appears skinned as if possibly holding a veneer in its original state, but lovely distressed patina to it now and a lovely high country rustic look to it worthy of being glued. Here is a very large. Heavy custom/hand-made pine picture frame. It measures 33 x 36 ins. in total and 26 x 30 ins. insert rabbet size. This is painted gold( not gilded) with an old original red paint or bole undercoat. This frame used to house a late 1940s oil portrait. So I would date this to the same time period to very early 1950s time period. The frame has multiple pieces of wood nailed and glued together. And at the top right corner someone nailed some more in to secure it at some point in time.That has caused a surface crack in the wood from the top right corner and the downward piece of wood about 4 x 7 ins. Antique Wooden Hand-Carved Gesso Frame w/ Black Americana Photo - Pine Bluff, AR
I absolutely fell in love with this frame when I saw it and was just as intrigued with the photograph in it. I bought it in Pine Bluff. AR. The seller said another customer told her this man came from a very prominent and wealthy family in Pine Bluff back in the day. Unfortunately, the seller did not know or remember the name of the family. It definitely appears to be from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. When I got this home. I was hoping to find out more information by carefully removing the backing. I’ve found dates and/or names on the backs of photos before. No such luck this time. There is some very faint writing– but the only thing I can make out is there’s a photo# it says it’s a photo, and its size is 10” x 12” No names, no dates. The photo has faded. Has some dark spots on it and possibly a watermark or two. Please see my pictures ... morefor more details and close-ups. The frame is gorgeous and is unlike any other I’ve seen. The cut-out holes are so unusual and appear to be hand-carved as they don’t look perfectly symmetrical to me. There is some damage to the gesso– with the worst of it clearly being at the very bottom. It appears it was stored on the floor for some time and may have even sustained some water damage. The bottom right corner is the worst and has a little bit of roughness to the edge of the wood proper. There’s also a small“slice” in the wood at the very top of the frame(towards the front) just to the left of the hanger rope/tie. There’s also a small split on the backside of it. The glass is wavy and therefore appears to be original. I’m assuming the green paint is original. Too, based on how it looks from the back(bleed-over) The green and gold colors are beautiful, but please keep in mind I have not tried to clean it(for fear of damaging the gesso further) I’m sure with the proper cleaning, the colors would be even more eye-catching. I did clean the mirror the best I could only because it was so dirty– it was difficult to get a good look at the photo. The frame itself measures

Antique Unique Turned Intricate 12 1/2" X 10 1/2" Pine & Mahogany? Picture Frame
This is a beautiful handmade antique picture frame. I believe it is made of pine and mahogany wood. The turnings were made then drilled for assembly. The turnings are very small and intricate. Lots of attention to detail and very time consuming to build. The outside dimensions of frame are 12 1/2" X 10 1/2" The center picture opening is 4 1/2" X 6 3/8" and is missing one small piece of trim and the glass. Some of the wood has chips and dust. Remained Handmade Bumble Bee Holes, Ponderosa Pine Frame. 40" By 18-1/4.
I am selling a Handcrafted one of a kind picture frame that I made from reclaimed soft pine. This is also know as" Ponderosa Pine" When milling the wood I left the nails holes and natural live edge on the frame to give it more character. This particular frame has several bored out holes and tunnels where bumble bees dug out the wood. Some of my frames have irregular opening sizes because I just couldn't waste any of the valuable material. Some of this wood is hard to fine in the rough. Frame opening will fit a 32-5/8 inch by 11 inch picture. The over all size of the frame is 40 inches by 18-3/8 inches. The"Rabbit" in the back of the frame measures 1/2 inch deep by 3/8 inch wide. The wood thickness is a heavy 5/8 inches with natural edge. This frame is constructed with biscuit jointery. The finish is a hand rubbed tongue ... moreoil and polyurethane. I am in the process of de-clutter my life in preparation to one-day move. I have decided to auction off some of my handmade frames and many other things to help my family and I save for our first home together.
