Up for auction today is a great vintage World War II photograph of a mother and child in its original bubble convex glass frame! What's great about this photo is that the child is wearing his own US Army dress uniform! The photo is hand-tinted. It measures approx. 9 3/4" x 15 5/8" The frame overall measures approx. 11 11/16" x 17 13/16" The frame itself is wood with plaster overlay to add design or accent to the frame. It is painted gold and brown. The frame shows typical use wear to the plaster and paint. But is still in really nice shape. The glass was broken when I purchased this at auction so it is for the frame and print only. The print dose show some damage probably from the broken glass. TWO (2) SMALL ITALIAN ROUND FRAMES with MOTHER & CHILD PICTURES
These beautiful antique frames are 3 1/4" round. They are a lightweight wood painted this gold color and curve out from the picture to 3/4" There is glass over the two prints of famous Madonna and Child paintings. The paper on the back is the original paper. As are the tiny hangers. These are enormously beautiful in their simplicity. There is one tiny area at the left near the top of the frame where a bit of gold has been chipped off. Other than that- which I do not feel detracts- they are in excellent condition.

Antique Gilded Gold Frame c1800s Mid/Late Chromo Lithograph Mother & Child
This auction is for an Antique Chromolithograph of Mother(Mary) and Child(Jesus) in a spectacularly Ornate Gilded Gesso wooden frame with flowing Ribboned Bows dating back to the turn of the last century or perhaps even to the mid to late 1800’s. The dimensions are 23” in length and 19 ¼” wide. The Chromolith itself is 18 ½” in length and 14 ¾” wide. Please note the watermark at bottom left hand corner and very slight at top and left sided edge. The frame is slightly chippy in some places(see photos) But does not detract in my opinion. I feel I have a slow starting bid on this Exquisite Masterpeice that is well over 100 years old, perhaps 125 years old. The Frame alone is worth the starting bid. As such. Nice old wood picture frame. In found condition-Nice old colorized print inside is of mother and child All original-frame. Glass and backing. Couple of cracks in finish. ANTIQUE PRINT MOTHER AND CHILD'DEAREST OF ALL' OGEE FRAME SOME ISSUES 15X20*I received this frame from an estate auction. Meaning it did not belong to me and I will try to describe it the best I can* The auctioneer said this was a OGEE frame but i do not see any marking on it. I have asked several other people who have also classified it as an OGEE frame. The print inside appears to be very old and is starting to chip within the portrait. It is titled"Dearest of All" The frame shows scratches and marks and I do not know whether it has been refinished or not. This is my first ever frame. The size of the frame is appox 15x20" I have provided measurements in the pictures listed. Please view all pictures and feel free to ask any additional questions! Note: The pictures I took show reflections of my cellphone and overhead ... morephoto lights. If you need additional pictures I can arrange to take some in a natural light setting.
