The front edges of the frame are decorated with a dasjed and beaded pattern. The corners have fancy. Stylized, crown-like ornaments. The side edges have an ornate leaf and swirl pattern and the back edges have a swirl and s-curve design. A magnet does stick to the frame. So I'm assuming it is brass plated metal. It has an easel back covered in a maroon flocked material. Vertical orientation only. A rough spot on the top of the easel back and some age wear to the edges and corners of the easel back. Lot of 4 Wood Rectangular Frames Gesso Antique Art Deco Metal Corners Portrait
For sale is this lot of 4 antique or vintage wood and gesso picture frames. They are all rectangular. And three have decorative metal corners. One frame contains a charcoal portrait, signed by the artist and dated 1933. The smallest frame measures approximately 9 3/8" x 12 7/8" inside measurement is 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" and the largest measures 12 5/8" x 16 5/8" inside measurement is 10 1/2" x 14 1/2" Minor cracks and one missing spot to gesso. Chips, wear to paint. One frame has missing, cracked wood next to gesso section. Two have no glass. Please see pictures for more details. International Shipping is calculated.

I purchased this sweet little picture frame at a local estate sale and the frame measures approx. 2 1/4 inches by 3 inches with the picture portion measuring 1 1/4 inches by 2 inches. The metal frame. I think it is probably tin, has a flower in each corner and each flower has a small purple stone in the middle. The top, bottom, and both sides also have a purple stone. I don't see a maker's name on it. It has an easel back and the little glass insert has small chips along the edges. A must have for anybody who collects small antique picture frames.
