Here is an amazing picture frame covered in old lace and silk. It measures 12" by 8" wide and comes from the estate of a wealthy family. It is intact and has its glass. The glare in the picture is from that glass. The only damage is the very top bow is a little loose and can be secured once again. The back is lovely rose colored fabric and the flap in back is also loose with some wear. The trim is gold metallic with silk rose trim on the very inside. Up for Buy it Now is this absolutely fantastic vintage French gilt brass frame that has an overall measurement of 15 by 18 inches with the sight size measuring 10 by 13 inches. The frame is made of gilt brass or bronze and has separately cast and applied leaves and fruit. The interior lining or matte is made of white silk with a gilt ormolu liner. Aside from someone adding a strip of wood to the easel back for stability the frame is in overall excellent condition. There are two eyelets on the back of the frame so it can be hung from a wall.

This listing is for a set of Silk Pictures that I got at an estate yard sale. I see others who have some like them are calling them Art Nouveau. I do not really know what they are called. They have silk pictures in them. The frames appear to be wood painted gold. They are 8" x 10" and are in perfect condition except for the paper backing being torn. They are clean and smoke free. There is the numbers 5150 on the back. I don't know what that means. Thanks for looking.

Bottom and sides. Under the bubble convex glass is an arrangement of silk, velvet pink roses on a gray satin background. The satin is wavy, but it appears to be the way it was made, but I am not certain of this. The frame measures approximately 25" X 15 1/2" If you do not like the original floral arrangement, it can easily be replaced with a photograph. The frame is in excellent condition, the metal has darkened with age. The metal attachments are not been or damaged. There is a wire hanger attached, so it is ready for your immediate enjoyment. Antique Handmade Silk Fan Photo Frame 3 Photos Included Late 1800's
I found this frame at an estate sale in Birmingham Al years ago when the Dawson home was sold. This frame was in the attic and it does have issues although its still beautiful. It was handmade and you can still see the line marks drawn to form the spokes of the fan. The fan is covered in silk and some has been worn away. It doesn't look new anymore. Either the fabric had a flower design or it was painted on. I don't know. Embroidery and appliques are on as well. It measures about 9x15 inches. There is a tassel on the bottom that might could be re-attached and it does still have the tack attached. The hanging cord is off on one side and would need to be re-attached if you hoped to hang it. There are 3 spaces for photos and these are with it as well. They measure about 4 inches tall and are a man. Woman on a swing and woman. The photos ... moreare faded, but the woman on the swing is the brightest. The backs of 2 of the photos have maker marks. The man's card says Elrod Bros. Cortes de visite Photograph Gallery Opposite Court House Lexington Kentucky. The woman on the swing says J.W. Turner& Son Photographers Marion Al Pictures made by the Instantaneous Process. The 3 picture. Of a woman, has no marks. The box that this was stored in is an old Vanity Fair Silk Underwear box and it is in bad condition. With some parts missing. Antique Ormolu Gilt Brass & Silk French Photograph Frame
Offered for auction is an antique French ormolu photograph frame. The bright gilt brass frame is square and has a decorative top piece. The pale salmon colored moire silk is original and is in good condition. The silk is adorned with six brass pieces. Four round garlands and two torches. The back is the original leather grained paper. The brown velvet easel appears to be a replacement. There are a couple of spots of damage on the back paper. The frame is 9 7/8 inches high and 8 1/2 inches wide. The photo size is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The original glass covers the silk.
