Antique Victorian frame that is very unusual. It is made of layers of paper. Punched paper with wool needlepoint and beadwork. You can see the tiny threads that go through these tiny holes. The colors are bright and there are no tears to the punch paper. The frame measures 14 1/2" x 12" The opening is 4 1/4" x 3 3/4" There are a few tiny beads missing. Antique Walnut or Cherry Picture Frame with Floral Needlepoint 1800's
Here is a Antique picture frame with very old needlepoint of Calia Lillies. I believe the frames date back to the 1800's. I'm not sure but I think the wood is either Walnut or Cherry. The frame measures 15 1/4" by 13 1/4" 2" deep, inside picture measures 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" The Lilly's are White with pink center with green leaves. Black background. The frame has different levels of wood with gold. Black trim and very deep shadow box construction.There are slight gaps in the mitered corner due to age shrinkage but very minor. The frames were made by the Wright Brown& Co. Troy. NH. No. 10. Condition is excellent! The frames were from an estate in New England. Postage parcel post. Feel free to ask questions. This is a wonderful walnut criss cross frame with the needlepoint flowers under glass is ready to hang prominently in one's home. The frame and needle point are in perfect condition. The frame measures a generous 1 8" by 2 9" I had this tightened up at a professiona l framers and that is all he did so as not to comp ro mize the integrity of the age of the picture and frame.

Victorian Antique Gold Gilt Oval Gesso Needlepoint Roses Mirror Wood Frame
Early Victorian carved wood and gold gilt gesso frame with needlepoint rose bouquet framed in it. The frame is in an oval shape and it is decorated top. Bottom and both sides with high relief leaves and flowers. It measures 13" X 11 1/4" X 2" deep. The oval opening inside where a new picture or mirror can replace the needlepoint piece measures on the front 8" X 6" The frame is in good condition without any gesso missing. It does however have two stress marks or hairline cracks, one starting below the high relief central flower at the very top of the frame and going down to the end of the width of the frame and the other on the opposite side of the first at the bottom of the frame only on the inner 1/4" section by the glass. VINTAGE CARVED FRAME WITH HAND DONE NEEDLEPOINT– PASTORAL SCENE– A SHEPHERD IN THE FIELD WITH HIS FLOCK OF SHEEP. The frame is from around 1950’s- maybe earlier. Made of a honey colored French walnut or maybe mahogany– finish is original and in good condition. Gesso carving around the outside front edges. Good condition– no parts missing. The frame is firm– corners are tight– no wiggle. Frame measures 13 ½ inches by 17 ½ inches from the outside. With an opening for the glass and needlepoint of APPROXIMATELY 12 inches by 16 inches. paper backing makes it impossible to measure exactly. From the front the visible size is 11 ½ inches by 15 ½ inches. No fading. No staining, no holes in the needlepoint– probably wool with soft colors- the blue sky, the floral pasture, the cottage in the background. Up close, you do not get as ... moregood a view as on the wall– the design is more clear when it is up on the wall. The needlepoint and the frame are both circa 1950’s– 1960’s and in good condition. This is for a lovely antique deep walnut picture frame with a nice needlepoint in it. This excellent old frame is in very good condition with no condition issues that I can see. The frame measures 18 by 14 on the outside with a depth of 1 1/2 inches. It's hard to measure the interior because of the cardboard on back. But I think it will fit an image of 15 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, maybe a bit bigger. Not sure of that measurement. i have other walnut frames listed in my other auctions. Thanks for looking. This vintage framed needlepoint hanging came out of my parent's house. I'm down-sizing my collections in anticipation of a major move. And decided its time for this to find a new home. These scene is of a mill at water's edge with one of two chimneys having curls of smoke rising up. With some trees at the sides. The entire piece including the frame measures 14 x 11-1/2" and the size of the needlepoint image(not including the matting) equals 10 x 8. A few light toning spots are visible in areas where no needlepoint was added to the image(the mesh area)see scan) which helps show its age. These were hanging in my parent's house for as long as I can remember. But sadly have no other information on them. The back has a handstamp that reads: A"Blatt" Quality Product. 14.

Up for your consideration is this very nice old frame that I purchased at an estate/consignment auction. It is around 30" X 24 3/4" outside and around 19 1/2" X 15 1/2" inside needlepoint? I don't know how old it is and think the needle point(not sure of sewing type) may have been added at a later time. It is soft/spongy to the touch and I would think it would have hardened over time if it was very old. Front of the frame is very nice but the back appears to show its age. There is no glass. I can't find any condition issues except for the wire that is broken. Shipping costs have been rising significantly. If I list a shipping cost and the item is shipped for less than billed(over $1 less) I will refund the difference. I require insurance on any purchase over $100. ANTIQUE FRENCH BARBIZON STYLE FRAME & CHNOISERIE BIRDS WOOL NEEDLEPOINT 27"x23"
We are pleased to offer this extraordinary. Antique(19thC) framed needlepoint. The frame is large. It is an ornate, Barbizon style, carved gilt wood with a deep, raised relief pattern of scrolled acanthus leaves and shells. The frame features 3 sections/tiers of relief patterns separated by smooth sections which are painted black. The frame houses a beautiful antique, chinoiserie, wool petit point(under glass) of intricate birds in a cherry tree. It is quite lovely and colorful and exquisitely accomplished. The frame has a unique, square trim added to the back so that the frame has a deep profile and extends from the wall much like a shadowbox. The frame is in very good condition for its age. There are a couple of small scuffs and hairline cracks on the gilded finish. But they are minor. There is a random nail on the frame face. I do not ... morethink that the black paint is original and it was probably added at some point. You can see brush strokes on the black painted finishes and some of the gold underneath does peek through. There is some chipping and peeling of the black top coat as well. The petit point is in very good condition with no frayed areas or rips, tears, etc. There are no visible marks on the frame. The frame has a cloth backing under wood supports. We have not removed to check for a makers mark. The table measures 27" x 23" It extends 4.75" from the wall.
