WORLD WAR I TABLE TOP PICTURE FRAME This is such a lovely piece. With so many memories attached to it, I am sure, by someone. This frame is in perfect condition and no loss of color and measures 11" x 8" It is a table top picture frame. Signed, To my darling husband, Jimmy" Initially, I thought it was not an authentic picture and then I took it apart and you can see the signature is authentic and if you will notice, there is a small piece of hair that was obviously in the original photograph. It says, Sunshine, Chicago, a well-known photorgraph business in Chicago at the time. As stated. This piece shows absolutely no wear and fits very tightly in the frame and the velvet back shows no wear. Vintage? Antique? Continental Army Military Frame w/Tom Lovell Print of Soldier
This is a combination of two very interesting objects- a Tom Lovell print of"The Continental Soldier 1 781" and a beautif ul brass coating over metal(I think) frame with the Continental Army insignia at the top. It w ould be a fantastic gift for the collector. Especially with Father's Day coming up. I am sorry. I really don't know anything about antiques, but I will try to describe it. It is 22" high, 14 1/2" across, and 1" deep. With domed glass. The frame seems to be very old. And definitely has wear, but that just adds to its charm. The brass has come off a little in many areas- please look at the pictures. The print is(I think) from 1962. It is in perfect condition. The white spots are from the flash. Inside the domed glass a greenish burlap fabric frames the print. And is actually quite attractive. What ... morelooks like stains on the mat are actually shadows from the flash. The back is a copper colored metal, and it has a dent on one side. It is very heavy(3 pounds, 12 ounces) And I will insure. Thank you for looking.

VINTAGE BEVEL GLASS FRAME WITH ORIGINAL CONTENTS– A PHOTOGRAPH OF A MILITARY OFFICER IN UNIFORM– frame and photo are circa 1940– 1950’s. The photo is black and white. Professionally done, with good shadows and accents around the facial area. No studio name on the photo. But may be on the back of the photo under the backing. The military officer has an overcoat and hat on in the photo– some type of insignia on the hat that would identify the military branch. The frame is a large solid piece of glass with bevel edges. The glass panel is almost 1/4 inch thick. The frame and contents weigh over 6 pounds before any packing materials. To give you an idea how heavy the frame is. The back of the frame is the original velvet backing. Burgundy but uniformly faded, with the original easel stand, with a slight bend out at the bottom from standing on ... morea table all these years– see photo– still stands firmly on a table. Would certainly be a conversation piece standing in a room– people would want to know who it is– looks good enough to be a movie actor! The frame is made only of one large piece of glass with a thick velvet backing. No chips that I can see or feel in the glass. A very little bit of superficial scratching on some of the edges. Only from handling. The photograph– original to the frame– is placed under the glass and is held in place by 4 screws that go from front to back. My pictures are not really good– too much glare on some of them– difficult to get the full effect of the clear glass. The lines across the glass are reflection. And the lightness at the bottom of the photo is only from glare. Outer measurements of the frame are 14 ¼ inches by 17 ¼ inches. Size for the photo and the backing is 10 ¼ inches by 13 ¼ inches. Antique Oval Picture Frame - Gold - USA - Eagle - Flags - 24.5" X 18.5" Military
Up for bids is what I personally think is a really nice antique oval picture frame. It measures 24 1/2" tall. And 18 1/2" wide. It is painted gold and has an Eagle on top with a ribbon that reads USA. On the bottom are a pair of Crossed Flags. Which leads me to believe this probably had some kind of military photo or reverse painting in it originally. Probably with a convex glass, possibly a family member from the civil war, or something of that kind. The inside dimensions are 18 3/4" X 12 3/4" while the dimensions where the glass and picture would have gone is 19 3/4" X 13 3/4" With a little TLC this would be an awesome piece.

I presume that these frames were obtained by the GI's to put their photos in for the families back home. It shows the Eagle. Drums and bugles, American crossed flags, and crossed cannon on the bottom. It is heavy and well made. A true collectors item~ the numbers 9445 is stamped into the metal on the back of the frame. This frame is in wonderful shape for it's age with a great patina. There is some wear to the blue paint on the American flags and a few small flaws or chips on the right side. Up for consideration is this very old picture of an American Soldier. The frame is in very good condition. Having a few scrapes and nicks, all of which I have shown in picture. The sides are in good condition, and these are shown in the picture of it on the mantle. Where it hangs, it has a couple of small nicks, as shown in picture. The backing is loose paper. The back states: Midwest Portrait Studios, Portland Oregon. If you research the studio, you will find they framed a lot of old portraits with bubble glass Now the portrait appears to be in good condition. There are some specs of dust or dirt on the underneath side of the glass. I have not taken the portrait apart to clean and will leave that to the new owner. Fine vintage picture frame. Late 19th-early 20th century, of brass-plated cast iron molded with various patriotic and military motifs, the oval aperture measuring 5 x 3.75 in. visible) accommodating a 6.25 x 4 in. photo, the frame measuring 8.5 x 7.25 in. overall. Expected mild surface wear, otherwise fine, attractive condition, with untouched original patina. The glass is included. Among the elements surrounding the aperture are crossed American flags. An eagle holding a banner in its beak, cannon, sword, anchor, a drum, oak leaves, and acorns. Given the age and theme, the frame may have well have been produced to coincide with the Spanish-American War or World War I. Vintage Convex Ornate Frame With Black Negro African American Military Soldier
Up for grabs here we have a Nice Vintage Ornate Picture Frame with Convex Bubble Glass. This is a heavy frame for it's size. And does have some minor age cracks. Convex glass is in very nice shape. This also comes with the vintage picture of an African American soldier as pictured. Frame is made to be hung on the wall or stood up for display. The piece of ribbon that stops the stand part from falling is unattached on one end(see pics) but a little hot glue can fix that. The outside measurements of the frame is approximately 18 1/4" x 14 1/4" Actual picture area measures 15" x 11" Please look at all pics as they are of the actual item to be received.
