I believe this antique frame dates from around the 1880's! It is solid and in EXCELLENT condition. With MOST of the finish stripped off! It will not take much more effort to complete the stripping and then refinish as preferred! Approx. 29.5" X 33.5" overall, and the opening is 22" X 26" I do not believe the glass is original! Bamboo Motif Foil Stamped Frame in Excellent Condition This very unique frame is foil stamped.Foil stamping uses heat and metallic film in a specialty printing process that produces a shiny design on paper. Vinyl, textiles, wood, hard plastic, leather, and other materials. The heated dies seal a thin later of metallic leaf onto a surface. The foil comes in a wide roll, large enough for several passes, backed by Mylar. The hot die works similarly to a letterpress. Once heated, it presses the foil against the substrate material with enough pressure that the foil sticks, leaving a slight imprint. Using several layers of foil in different colors or combining ink and foil can embellish this simple"flat" stamp. Imprinting and embossing adds even more dimensionality. Up for sale is a very old victorian style wooden picture/mirror frame. I am not sure of its age but it was my grandmothers and she had it for a quite a bit. This frame measures 26 1/2 inches by 30 1/2 inches from one exterior edge to the other. The inside measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches as is visible on the exterior. The frame will hold a 16 by 20 inch piece or art or mirror. The frames protrudes about 2 1/2 inches from the wall. It need a new hanging wire. A brightly gilded inner frame followed by an incised, ebonized molding and a brightly gilded incised site liner. The frame is in fantastic condition with only minor wear and has the original wavy glass and shingle backboard. Mitered corners with square nailed construction. Excellent Antique Family Photo Print in Elegant Gold Wood Gesso Frame with Roses
This is a fantastic print of a family photo titled"Our New Love" with a mother and father adoring their sleeping infant with the family dog by their side. All four corners of the frame are elegant floral inspired gesso details and there are rope look strands entwined with roses along the middle of all four sides. The frame is in excellent condition with a few minor touch ups and some light scratches. But the finish looks to be original. The gesso accent on the lower left corner was half missing, but a new one was hand sculpted and painted to match the rest, and the repair is virtually unnoticeable. There is a piece of wood over the back of the picture that is loose in spots and could be nailed back down. There is one screw eye on the middle of the top edge that must have been used to hang the picture(there is no wire, just the one ... morescrew eye in the middle) The glass in the frame is excellent. The outer measurements of the frame are 21" x 25" and it holds a 16" x 20" picture. I will pack it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Excellent Antique Gold & Silver Wood & Elegant Gesso Picture Frame w/3 Photos
This is an absolutely beautiful antique matted picture frame with three gorgeous Victorian photos inside. The entire thing is in very good to excellent condition; there were four spots that were touched up that I showed in the photos: Two small flakes of Gesso missing from the top edge and touched up with matching gold paint(shown in photo 10) one chip missing from the upper left corner. Filled in with wood filler and touched up with matching gold paint(shown in photo 6) and some gesso missing from the lower left corner, filled in with wood filler and painted(shown in photo 9) None of the touch ups are very obvious, and overall the frame looks excellent, bright, and shiny. The outer rim is an elegantly molded gold painted gesso, the middle layer is bright shiny smooth gold painted wood, and the inner layer is smooth silver painted wood. The ... moreoutside edges of the frame are silver painted wood as well, shown in the last photo. All the paint is excellent with very few tiny chips or scratches. The glass is original and has some lumps and lines(not cracks) in it. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches in the glass. The matte on which the photos are mounted is gray and has some designs stamped around each photo. It was also stamped by the photographer"R.F. Colby, Oregon, WIS. The cardboard backing has been replaced(shown in the 11th photo) and it has a piece of what I assume to be the old cardboard backing with a caption written on it. It says"Ray had these pictures put together and framed, he gave them to me Dec 19 04, a surprise" I don't know if this was actually from the original back, but the writing and cardboard look old, although I have no way of authenticating it. The dimensions of the frame are 21 3/8" x 13 7/8" and the photos that are mounted are 2 oval 3" x 4" and one rectangular 3 3/4" x 5 3/8" could possibly fit a trimmed 4 x 6? I will wrap it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

This frame is all metal/tin work, just fantastic, brushed gold edging with nice 4 filigree designs on each side, it has curved glass, that has no chips or cracks. There is a small area where white paint got on the frame(see picture) I was able to peel away a small piece, but I will leave it to the buyer to clean it. The hole piece will need a good cleaning, this has been stored away for a long time. I wiped it down, but nothing else. The backing is also all metal/tin, and complete. There are some scratches on the back metal and the back inside frame, but this only adds to the wonderful patina and look of this beautiful piece.
