Description Offered at auction is a quality antique pendant style picture frame which measures 5 1/2" long. 4 1/4" wide. The oval frame features a fine row of patterning around the perimeter. It has a solid brass back and a bale for hanging, and the glass is convex or bubble glass. The frame was made by K& O, Kronheimer and Oldenbusch of Brooklyn, New York. The company worked from 1895 to 1942. This frame probably dates to 1910-1920. It holds a print of a pretty lady. The frame and photo are both in very nice condition. The print has no soiling or discoloring. The frame has no dents or cracks in the metal. The back is fine and fits well, and the bale is intact. Very pretty piece. Thanks for looking.

This is a lovely frame. It has convex glass and the overall size is 17" by 12" It is gilt with painted flowers in all the corners. I have taken detailed pictures of all the areas for you to zoom and see. There is a repair to the top edge of the frame. That you can see in Pic#9. The repair is smooth, but not painted/touched up. This is an extremely rare and unusual BLACK FOREST hand carved wooden frame dating from around 1850. It appears to have a Middle-eastern feel to it. Such as Palestine of the 19th century or Egypt of the same period. It held a thermometer within the frame originally. That would have been a novelty then. The piece is all original with no repair or restoration. You could place a cropped photograph in the frame or a custom painting or drawing.The specie of wood is indeterminable by us. The frame has the wear and mellow patination one would expect with its age but, no damage. The piece measures 11 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep. OLDER VERSION OF THE ONE BEING OFFERED FOR SALE. A walnut. Rustic piece with a decorated inner molding is from the 1860s. This is a rare frame because of the decoration on the gilded area. A naturalist movement was beginning in the art world in the mid-1860s and this design was supposed to represent pebbles at the bottom of a stream. The style was gone by the end of the 1860s. It is 12 1/2" x 11"od. Being offered for sale is the later version of the one shown above. Adorable Antique Easel Back Picture Frame W/ Bird On Nest Motif& Jewels Ca 1900 Offered at auction is an adorable picture frame from ca. 1900-1910 which measures 5" tall. 3 1/4" wide, and has an easel back. It holds a picture or photo 2 1/2" wide by 4" long. The frame is made from painted metal and the sides depict trees with branches springing up about half way to the top the frame, all painted white. The branches are set with three jewels on each side, glass cabochons in red and turquoise. Across the bottom, two branches are spread and a bird is at its nest and tiny eggs are in the nest. A piece of beveled glass with gilded edges would cover the picture and a piece of cardboard would be at its back. A spring loaded prong is at the center top and hold the picture in the frame. All parts appear original. The frame ... morehas no company names or marks. It is in very nice condition. There is some loss of white paint. But it does not detract from the charm of the frame. VINTAGE ART DECO CA 1930 WOODEN PICTURE FRAME ON SWIVEL EASEL BASE W/OLD PHOTO
Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Art Deco period wooden picture frame on swivel easel base. The frame which holds an 8" by 10" image measures 12" tall. Base measures 11" across, 2" deep. Made of wood, it is painted an antique ivory color with darker paint rubbed into the details. This appears to be the original finish. The finish shows some light wear. Glass is in good condition and the sepia photo is dated"FEB 14 1928" It looks like a professional photo of a dancer or actress wearing a costume, holding a Valentine heart aloft. There is some water damage to the upper corner of the photo and a little across the bottom. Our photos will be up by the end of the day. Please check back later or mark the auction
