Antique Old Master style gold leaf frame/11&1/2" x 11&1/2", 9&3/4" with spandrel
If you're looking to frame an Old Master piece in an appropriate frame. Then this could be the one you're looking for. It's an Italian frame, finished in what I think is gold leaf, and I think it probably dates from the 1920s. This frame comes with a beautiful spandrel and can be used with or without it. Without the spandrel, the rabbet is 11&1/2" by 11&1/2. With it, the diameter is 9&3/4. Overall, the frame is 15" by 15. Condition is as found and as shown. ANTIQUE BAROQUE PICTURE FRAME w/PRINT OF BOY, 16-1/2" X 14" w/ 9" X 7" OVAL
This frame comes from an estate sale so not much is known about it. The print of a Victorian boy is attached to a 1 6-1/2" X 14" board and the 2-1/2" x 15" reticulated frame is mounted over it(screwed through the back of the large board into the back of the frame) and all of it is finished in gilt. The screws have come loose at the top but the bottom is holding tight. I don't know the age of the frame. It has some chips to the plaster coating in various spots. Some of the chips has been colored over with black to make them less obvious but it would look better with some gilt touch up. Needs some light repair but very interesting piece just as is. Please look at pictures to view damage etc. The print has some scuff/scratches on it. I'm not sure if you can take it apart to put in different art as the back board will ... morehave to be removed and the screws are hidden behind two pieces of wood attached to the back. This beautiful antique frame probably dates to the 1800's. It features an ornate painted design with some limited(sparse) spoon carved areas. It has a deep well design. This antique frame can hold a piece of art measuring 8 3/16" by 10 1/8" After the lip. The visible(viewable) portion for your artwork is 7 1/2 by 9 1/2" The overall dimension are 13 1/2" by 15 1/2" It has some minor scuffs/scratches but overall condition is still good considering its age. Up for auction is a antique. Swing picture frame in the art no uveau style of the early 1900s. The individual frame measure 7 x 9 1/2 inches.There is glass in the frame(did get picture of the glass.But there is glass with this frame) Entire piece measures approximately 11 1/2 inches long. 11 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches deep. When I first saw this. I thought it was metal. But it is wood. Felt is on the bottom.Frame is f unctionally.There is cosmetic wear such as dings, and loss of paint/gilding.Bit of chipping to the wood. BEAUTIFUL WALNUT FRAME W/PRINT & GLASS 9" X 10 1/2" C-1915
This is one of the most beautiful walnut frames I ever had. It was made in 1915 by my Uncle Al. It is 9" x 10 1/2" and is 1 1/2" deep. The inset is 5 1/2" x 7" and has glass. I took out the picture that was in it and and put a pretty print in. This has been in my Vermont house for the last 55 years. The shipping charge includes postage. Insurance, tracking and packaging.
