Bromley and Co. Philadelphia. This map measures approximately 30 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches. Including the border area. The map has fantastic coloring to it and is a great period street map. Listing factories, churches, public schools, property owners, railroads, etc. of the time. Excellent, detailed and interesting period map of the City of Philadelphia. It is blank on the reverse side and it is not matted nor framed. Being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main picture. Maps this early and showing this much detail of the streets of Philadelphia are VERY SCARCE. The map has lots of color coding to represent various attributes(white/stone building. Pink/brick building, yellow/frame building, if it looks like an envelope/a stable or shed, and black& white dotted/green house etc. It shows fire hydrants, water mains, sewage lines, lot dimensions and house numbers. The map is generally in Very Good condition. There is some wear and browning along the edges. There is a crease down the middle where it was originally bound. There is heavier staining along the bottom and top edges near the middle crease. There are creases in the corners. Other dings here and there. As well. Vintage Whitewashed Wormy Chestnut Picture Frame, Mid Century, 60's Era, Pickled
Very stylish 60's era vintage white-washed wormy chestnut picture frame. This frame has a painted lip that angles towards the rabbet from a high point. And sweeps back towards the outside with a gentle curve. The rabbet size is 14 1/ 8" X 20 1/8" With an outside dimension of 16 1/2" X 22 1/2" The moulding is 1 1/2" wide. The rabbet depth is 7/16" The sight size is about 13 1/2" X 19 1/2" Frame has a nice. Even wash. O n the bottom rail. The white has worn off just a bit. The frame is in good condition overall. There are a few small chips on the bottom two corners. Don't have close-ups of those, but I think you can see what I mean in the first photo. Two of the corners on the right side are a bit open, but the frame is still solid. It sits flat, it's not warped. Vintage Wormy Chestnut Mid Century Modern Painting Frame Heydenryk Style 16 X 20
This is a vintage wormy chestnut mid century modern painting frame in the Heydenryk style. It definitely looks like a frame The House of Heydenryk would have made. But it doesn't have a label. It probably dates 1940s or 1950s. Overall. It measures 21 1/2 inches x 25 1/2 inches(54.6 cm x 64.8 cm) It has a back opening size of 16 1/8 inches x 20 1/8 inches(41 cm x 51.1 cm) The molding width measures a touch under 3 inches(7.6 cm) It has a textured. Combed surface. The profile is a great-looking reverse cove. The wood under the linen-covered liner is not wormy chestnut. But a different type of wood. The interior section is painted a reddish/goldish/grayish color. Giving it a wonderful look. The back has writing which says#D3331. I believe this was a model number. It also says#5 linen a few times. There is light chipping around the outer ... moreedges(please see photos) The liner has two small stains. Each with about a 3/4 inch diameter(3.2 cm) along the bottom middle section of the frame. There are a few very small marks on it also, but nothing significant. There is no glass. This is a great-looking vintage mid century modern House of Heydenryk wormy Chestnut frame with an oil painting on rice paper. The main photo looks darker than the actual piece because I tried to avoid the glare. But the other photo colors are accurate. It dates circa 1950s or 1960s. Overall. The frame measures 19 3/4 inches x 30 5/8 inches(50.2 cm x 77.8 cm) The back opening measures 12 3/8 inches by 23 1/4 inches(31.4 cm x 59.1 cm) The frame molding is 4 inches wide(10.2 cm) The entire piece is original and hasn't been touched at all. Antique Arts and Crafts wood picture frame. App. 10.5" x 12.5" outside dimension, wavy glass, and a bonus portrait signed by the artist. I believe this is Chestnut, but I am not an expert. It's 3" wide across the front, 3/4" depth. There is an intentional gap that radiates from the center of each corner to tightly close at the corners. The wood gently slopes from the outside to the inside. A simple band edges the corners. The opening is 6.5" x 4.5" Fabulous condition with just a few surface scratches that I have photographed in detail. Easily remedied. If you like. I can do it. The lovely portrait in profile looks at first glance to be a photograph. But the paper looks like printmakers paper, and it is signed in pencil, so maybe a photogravure? Or another technique?
