Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Listed for sale is a Victorian. Pittsburg Lamp and Brass Company Picture/Mirror Frame. It is gold plated cast iron. It has the number 1060 and the PLB Co stamped in the cast iron on the back, see picture#3. It also still has a original paper label on it, that says Genuine Gold Plate, Pittsburg Lamp and Brass Co. This is a very unusual and original piece. It had a broken mirror in it when I bought it years ago. Never did get it replaced. It is in excellent condition except for wear to the plating. Cast iron picture frame. Ornate oval, with swivel easel back. Holds 8" x 6" photograph or mirror, Victorian era. Sits on darling legs. And has a beaded inner border, a floral swag border, then the ornate, open scrollwork. Missing two of the three swivel clasps that hold the photograph in place. The side ones are intact and work perfectly. As does the swivel. Overall dimensions are apprx. 12.5" x 9" Is marked 7307. Questions? Please ask. I am not an expert. IT IS THE NUMBER: 355" THIS ELEGANT FRAME HAS WEAR. AND VARIOUS BUMPS AND SCRATCHES THROUGHOUT. THE FOLDING STAND ON THE BACK WAS REPAIRED. AND WORKS FINE. THERE ARE PICTURES TO SHOW THE SPECIFIC SPOT. THE GLASS OBVIOUSLY WAS REPLACED. THE WONDERFUL PICTURE JUST HAPPENED TO BE IN IT. IT LOOKS LIKE AN OLDER PRINT THAT WAS CUT OUT. Vintage metal frame in a Victorian style which is beautiful in design. The frame is gilded with fading of the gild which doesn't take away from its beauty in a rectagular shape. Classical design with curves and intricate works which artists of the highest order can produce. The frame has a clip for hanging up the frame. There are 4 clips to hold pictures in the frame. There is no glass. The frame measures approx 13" from the top to the bottom of the two candle holders and approx 8 1/2" from side to side. There is no name on the metal frame it is in great shape. It does look like the stand piece in the back has probably been replaced because it is black and looks newer but still made from the same type of metal. The lady is sitting/reclining in a chair watching a butterfly. Very decorative with flowers and ornate design. I purchased this in 1981 or 82 at an antique store in Branford. Fla. for my Mother-in-law who loves antiques. The white stuff on the back of the frame is glue from the tape she used. The inside of the frame is 5 1/4 in. by 3 1/2 in. opening. The frame does have a metal piece that helps it to stand. Very heavy. There is no glass to go inside the frame but it does have a clear thick piece of plastic that was used. The plastic is in good shape.

Each is made of cast iron that has been painted a brassy gold color. The frames have an intricately detailed ornate vine design throughout with a floral design in each corner of the opening. Each has a stand on the back. Allowing the frames to stand securely on their own. Openings house vertical photographs measuring 6" tall and 4" wide. Hinge pins are on the back to hold the photo and backing in place. Back of each is stamped with"08576. No markings to indicate a manufacturer. These beautiful frames would make a great addition to any antique collection or great frames for everyday use! Both frames are missing the glass ... moreand holding pins have some minor oxidation. Light tarnish is in some spots. General light wear from age and use. No breaks or dents. Overall the frames are in VERY GOOD condition. Each measures 8 3/4" wide and 12" tall.
